Evil Yet Beautiful - Taylor K
Posted: May 21st 2016 By: Facebook.com/TulsaExtraLife
Taylor K may be as Evil as she is Beautiful as the #PrincessofPierceInc but she took a moment to let us know what it meant to her to be able to visit the kids at The Children?s Hospital at Saint Francis.
"While I may not look like i do, I have multiple chronic illnesses that have landed me in the hospital before. In fact, I spent a week at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester when I was 16 after years of going from doctor to doctor in the Tulsa area.
I was given a basic diagnosis and sent home. I was depressed. And then I found wrestling on TV. I just hadn't seen it before. And it was the fire that I needed. It gave me that slap in the face that my life can be whatever I wanted it to be. That I could do that if I tried hard enough. So that day I began my journey.
It took me 3 years of working out and fighting my illnesses before I could start training. After that, it was an even harder uphill battle to get to where I am. But this is why I am always happy to help out those kids. I have been there. I have been scared, I have been poked, stuck with needles, stuck in hospital beds, bored, worried... I have been there. So it means everything that I can help give them at least a little break from that."
Taylor visited the kids at the hospital on May 7th along with other members of Compound Pro Wrestling.
Having been present myself at the hospital and at one of Taylor?s matches, I can tell you the only muscle this #DivaofDestruction was flexing on that day was her heart. She was a ray of hope and inspiration to every child at the hospital. We were truly blessed to have Taylor join us that day.
If you want to know more about Taylor and her journey she has a short documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02-IpRFTikw. Please check it out, and if you get a chance make it out to Compound Pro Wrestling inside Perfect Practice in Tulsa and cheer on these awesome athletes.
