The Ross Report with ESPN's Jonathan Coachman is one of our most enjoyable podcasts as The Coach an I reminisce about his WWE career, his skits with @TheRock, Coach's relationship with Mr. McMahon, our infamous and ugly Country Whipping 'match' that we had on RAW from Chicago back in the day, broadcasting with Jerry Lawler and me in the XFL and much more including a cool story regarding Tiger Woods. Subscribe for FREE to The Ross Report Podcast on iTunes and get every show automatically downloaded into the device of your choice when a new show drops on Tuesday nights at 9 pm ET.
Monday Night RAW is the final broadcast before WWE Extreme Rules so one should expect a 'hot' show this week for sure. Extreme Rules is a challenging PPV for WWE to produce as many of the stipulations and matches have historically been bouts that at times feature 'blood' for dramatic affect. In the PG world of WWE, blood is a rarity and while I am not endorsing massive and wide spread use but utilized sporadically in some theatrical manner could be a positive based on this show's theme.
Extreme Rules is a physicality heavy show that should motivate all talents to SELL. I've been watching a ton of TV wrestling the past few weeks and it seems that many talents in a variety of promotions, especially those in their 20's but not exclusive to that age, feel that selling makes the look weak. News flash... selling when done efficiently can do just the opposite.
Plus, either no selling or sort sighted selling is fundamentally lame and embarrassing to those who practice arguably the top facet of virtually any pro wresting match.
Busy week that includes AXSTV voice overs for New Japan Pro Wrestling as Josh Barnett and I gear up for AXSTV's coverage of the 2015 NJPW G1 tournament that begins Friday May 27 with 10 shows in six weeks. Then it's Knockout Night at the D from the downtown Las Vegas Events Center on CBS Sports Network Saturday night. Join us if you can for a great night of fights with some of the best, young athletes in the game.
Happy Birthday to our old friend Ron Simmons who is 52 today and who was the first African American World Champion when he won the WCW World Title vs Vader on a historic night in Baltimore. That was one of the most memorable nights of my pro wrestling, broadcasting career.

Does anyone truly think that the legal issues involving Jimmy Snuka are or were ever going to move forward to trial after all these years of bungling by the local, legal eagles?
It's a head scratcher that some are declaring that Adam Rose's professional life is essentially over since his second WWE Wellness Policy violation that was followed by his arrest for domestic violence regarding an incident with his wife. Our society loves to forgive those who show a legitimate desire to right their wrongs and Adam Rose has the opportunity to do just that. While Rose's WWE career is likely history that certainty doesn't mean that his life is history. Rose's issues with his family including his special needs son are much more significant than is a WWE career. or career with anyone.
One doesn't have to look too far on the WWE roster/staff to see plenty of individuals who have been afforded a second chance, or more in some cases, of which is a good thing if said individuals are sincere about making necessary, life changes.

Enjoyed seeing the legendary Danny Hodge get his ten foot statue revealed Saturday in Dan's home town of Perry, Oklahoma. Dan is the only person to win USA National amateur wrestling and boxing titles as he won the NCAA D1 title three times while never giving up a single point or losing and then he took up boxing out of curiosity and won the USA National Golden Gloves Boxing Championship as well. Dan celebrated his 84th birthday on Friday and then the statue unveiling was Saturday morning in Perry.
Newly released WWE talent Hornswoggle joins me on the Ross Report this week to talk about his WWE career, the Muppets, casting, Donald Trump, Dylan being a single parent and how/why he was suspended on a WWE Wellness Policy violation. New podcasts drop every Tuesday night at 9 PM ET on @PodcastOne.
The rivalry between Finn Balor and Samoa Joe is one of the best things on TV wrestling these days. NXT's fundamentally sound booking philosophy continues to strike a cord with many fans.
It appears that we have secured a venue in Orlando for our RINGSIDE with Jim Ross and Friends shows during Wrestlemania 33 weekend. Stay tuned for more info.

Get well wishes to the great, Johnny Walker aka Mr Wrestling 2 who is awaiting aneurysm surgery. It was my idea back in the day to turn "2" heel in Mid South Wrestling on Magnum TA that seemed to work well. "2" made a living out of selling, perfecting the art of being a masked man and above all else his 'Million Dollar Knee Lift.' Great promo guy too who had terrific, organic passion/delivery.
