Just a few days after posting an article on the TNA website about how A. J. Styles actually signed a TNA deal in December and then backed out with the help of his lawyer, TNA made a 180 and acknowledged Styles? debut in WWE on their Twitter. ?Congrats to TNA Original @AJStylesOrg on his debut tonight. Wish him all the best,? said a tweet posted after the "Royal Rumble". The TNA story earlier in the week sort of put the blame on Styles, Gallows, and Anderson for first meeting with TNA president Dixie Carter in December, agreeing on everything, signing a contract, and then change their minds to go to WWE. Styles? agent Bill Behrens refuted TNA?s claims and said a final contract was never signed. Styles came across as a huge Superstar when he came out as number 3 and the fans in Orlando, FL were familiar with him. TNA ran shows in Orlando for a few years at Universal Studios where Styles was one of their major names. He had been with the company since May 2002.

WWE had A. J. Styles merchandise ready to go on WWEShop.com shortly after Styles made his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble. As of this writing, the A. J. Styles merchandise has sold out on WWE Shop. That is pretty impressive especially for someone that does not have years of WWE marketing behind him. Insiders hope WWE takes this as a sign that they need to protect him. He could be a big star for them going forward.

A. J. Styles took to his Twitter account to comment on his debut at Sunday night?s "Royal Rumble" event. He wrote: ?Yeah?..WWE!?

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that WWE newcomer A. J. Styles has kept full ownership of his name and other trademarks associated with him in his new multi-year deal with WWE. Usually WWE is keen to take over any trademarks to protect their intellectual property however the deal allows them to use all of his trademarks, including The Phenomenal One and Styles Clash, and his name as long as he?s under contract plus retaining certain rights when it comes to video when he departs the company. The website reports that the deal was sealed and signed last week, just a few days before the Royal Rumble. In an interview with WWE.com, Styles said he will be around for more "Royal Rumbles" in the future, confirming that he has a multi-year deal with the company.

WWE.com has published a new poll asking fans who they thought was the most unexpected "Royal Rumble" entrant. The choices are Goldust, Triple H, Sami Zayn, or A. J. Styles. With over 23,000 votes cast so far, Styles is leading with 56% while Triple H has 25% and Zayn has 17%. Read more by clicking here.

John Cena posted a photo of A. J. Styles on his Instagram account Wednesday leading to speculation of a possible debut at the "Royal Rumble" or perhaps Cena is just getting back at the internet for memeing him into shoulder surgery.

Last Saturday, Ring of Honor fans said farewell to A. J. Styles and two other Bullet Club members, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, in their final match for the promotion before heading to WWE. The ROH show in Duluth, GA had a main event of The Bullet Club (Gallows, Anderson, and The Young Bucks [Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson]) taking on Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong, & War Machine (Ray Rowe & Hanson) where The Bullet club did the job. After the match was over, A. J. Styles joined his teammates and they all hugged each other similar to what The Kliq did back in 1996 at Madison Square Garden. Out of all of The Bullet Club, only The Young Bucks are remaining with ROH and New Japan. A. J. Styles did not wrestle during the show but did perform the Styles Clash after interrupting a promo. ROH sent out a Tweet with The Young Bucks, Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows and A. J. Styles posed together with a message saying how "now everyone will find out how phenomenal he really is," which was a classy way to do things.

There was a change in the commentary team for the "Royal Rumble" on Sunday as Jerry ?The King? Lawler seems like he lost his spot at the PPV broadcast booth. Lawler confirmed on Twitter that the RAW broadcast team would be handling the "Royal Rumble", with the team of Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and JBL on the mic. Jerry Lawler, who recently went back to his heel commentary, did the Rumble pre-show and the panel during the Rumble itself. This was the first pay-per-view without Lawler in a very, very long time.

If you are thinking about what the up and coming WrestleMania card is going to look like, maybe you should stop. There has been a news in the air that is going to be the headline for a while. There has been some correspondence between WWE and Bill Goldberg about having a match at WrestleMania 32 with Brock Lesnar. Rumors are swirling that Vince McMahon and Triple H are expected to forget about whatever has happened before any practical endeavour to bring Goldberg back. All the fans are very well aware of the ugly things between Lesnar vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania 20, and it ended up being the worst sessions of WrestleMania history.

RingSideNews.com has reported although nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, that several names have been apparently leaked as inductees for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016. The possible inductees are JBL, Jacqueline, The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, & Buddy Roberts), and The Godfather. The Celebrity Wing inductee is rumored to be Regis Philbin.

Scott Hall was recently interviewed by Sports Illustrated and talked about Sting wrestling in WWE, how he felt Sting wasn?t comfortable wrestling in WWE, Triple H booking the finish to their WrestleMania 31 match & more. He said ?I was there and obviously involved in his match at WrestleMania last year. We?re rehearsing the match in Cali last year at Levi Stadium, and it?s the Kliq and the New Age Outlaws out there, and we all know each other. And then there?s Sting, who doesn?t know anybody. He?s an outsider. I just think he never felt comfortable there. Being hurt was answered prayer for him?just let it end. You need to remember that Vince is never going to go with something he didn?t create. But we didn?t get anything done at the rehearsal the night before, so WrestleMania day, there were tents in the parking lot set up with rings for rehearsal. So we?re all in there again, and I?m next to Hulk on the ring apron, and Triple H is going over the match and then he goes, ?OK, he?ll break the sledgehammer, and then I?ll hit him with the sledgehammer, and cover him, 1-2-3.? I looked at Hulk, and Hulk looked at me, and I was thinking, ?Sting, what kind of lawyer do you have, bro? You?re coming in the door doing a job? You weren?t even guaranteed to go over?? That?s Vince just reminding you who won, even if he?s going to make money the other way.?

Former pro wrestling Joe Blanchard will be inducted as a distinguished member of the 2015 Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame this summer in Waterloo, IA. The father of Tully Blanchard, Joe worked in the Calgary, Hawaii, and Texas territories in a 25-year career that also included the founding of Southwest Championship Wrestling.

The February 12th Absolute Intense Wrestling's event in Cleveland, OH will feature the last match Missy Hyatt will manage since the weekend of Wrestlecon is her final bookings. She is going to be managing Dick Justice & Colt Cabana & Marion Fontaine vs. Bunkhouse Buck & Tracy Smothers & Jock Sampson with Robert Fuller for AIW.

Jim Cornette will be appearing on March 5th at the Laugh it Up Comedy Club in Poughkeepsie, NY with an 11pm show talking about his career in wrestling. Jim Duggan will also be appearing for a talk show at the club on February 13th.

Chad Thomas announced on his Facebook last week that he would be leaving pro wrestling for good at the end of June 2016. He posted "This is something I thought I'd never have to explain or wanted to, but by July of this year I will be stepping away from wrestling for good. July is so I can fulfill the rest of my commitments but after that I'm gone. Its been a hell of a run and a wonderful 10 years but its time for me to say bye. My knees haven't been the same for the past year and I can't go forward with surgery for numerous reasons. Thank you everyone who gave me an opportunity and helped me along in this business and good luck to those making a way for themselves today."

It's limited to 30 students who will work a match, do promos and be evaluated by Cornette and owner Michael Lombardi. These double as tryouts for the promotion Spots are $50. Superstar Seminars will be holding a seminar at the Ground Xero Wrestling School in Richmond, VA. The seminar will feature Jake Roberts, talking about pro wrestling performance, psychology, promos and character development. Roberts will be assisted by Mickie James and Nick Aldis.
