JR's Blog: Sullivan Pt 2 Ross Report Drops Tues 9pm ET, @JRsBBQ Hacked, Russo Joins JR Next Week, Time running out to order JR's for the Holidays

Posted: Dec 8th 2015 By: Jim Ross

Part two of our compelling conversation with former booker and wresting star Kevin Sullivan drops Tuesday night at 9 pm ET on podcastone.com and iTunes where Sully talks about the Benoit tragedy, how he would book Brock Lesnar, what changes the wrestling business should consider making and much more on a must listen podcast. Subscribe for FREE at iTunes and never miss a show and get each week's show downloaded automatically. Thanks for supporting The Ross Report podcast and know that we are grateful.

Someone hacked my twitter account @JRsBBQ early Sunday morning and then let the world know that I was dead. Well, I'm not but I am pissed and this matter isn't over but we do hope to have our account back up and running today thanks to the efforts of the folks at @Twitter. Karma is a crazy thing and somewhere down the road whoever did this and facilitated an emotional day for my family and friends will have to answer to their misdeeds.

Talking to both Roderick Strong and Brooke Adams separately tonight about their careers in challenging times for talents who are not working for WWE. These two conversations will air in January.

Next week, the controversial Vince Russo will join me to review the WWE's TLC event. Never a dull conversation with Russo who pulls no punches while expressing himself and his outlook on today's product and that event in particular. Should be an interesting show.

www.americansoda.co.uk in Manchester, England ships JR's products right to your home but are beginning to run low on inventory so don't delay and order today for the holidays if you are in the UK, Ireland or Europe.

www.wweshop.com is restocking some JR's items that were sold out so check the site for all the special deals but remember that the closer we get to the Holidays the trickier it gets with shipping deadlines.

Same with my friends at www.prowrestlingtees.com/jimross with our shirts and caps...order soon. We ship any where in the world in shirt sizes up to 5X.

RAW needs to be a hot show as it's the last RAW prior to Sunday's TLC event. Hopefully this show will display better match exclusivity and not have repeated, unique spots in different matches which means better overall quality control of the look and flow of the show. TLC matches don't have to be a one dimensional, spot fest but instead should tell a compelling story and incorporate the TLC's instead of solely depending on them to make their matches sound. For example, I don't need to see the same 'feigned' injured knee or ankle spots in the same show as we saw last week on RAW. TLC should compliment what we are seeing in the ring and not be the only story of the night IMO.

Shows like TLC actually should necessitate more planning by management personnel than most shows because it's important the distribute the use of tables, ladders and chairs where, by the time the final main event rolls around, that we haven't "seen it all."

Oklahoma traveling to the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida instead of having a manageable, car trip and playing in Dallas on New Years Eve is borderline insanity and poor planning overall. How the folks with AT&T Stadium can be happy not having OU be able to drive to the game and increase ticket sales is beyond me. This booking isn't fan friendly whatsoever.

Another sports and entertainment entity not putting their fans first is disappointing. Prices, scheduling, etc seemingly aren't considered as far as many fans are concerned these days. No company has more important assets than their fans.

Expect some noticeable changes to WWE Smackdown when it moves to the USA Network in January. Hopefully, RAW and Smackdown will be more episodically produced after they both start airing on the same network.

Cool to see some Mid South Wrestling on the WWE Network and it appears that many fans are enjoying the new content that WWE is making available these days.

The Q&A's here on the site have been updated. Please keep them succinct if you can.

Tickets for our three, RINGSIDE w/ im Ross Shows at the House of Blues in Dallas on Saturday April 2 and after RAW on Monday April 4 are selling well at ticketmaster.com. I hope you can join us @HOBDallas which is only an 8 minute walk from the ACC where WWE HOF and Monday Night RAW will emanate. www.ticketmaster.com.

Talents that are not over in any promotion can not get over via losing more than they win including the uncreative, lazy 50-50 booking where a wrestler wins one week and then loses to the same talent, in some form, the next week. As a fan how can we truly make an emotional investment on parity booking? One aspect of the art form of pro wrestling is being able to win or lose like a professional and better the product and not be paranoid of dropping a fall unless the talent in question isn't fundamentally sound.
