JR's Blog: WWE Elimination Chamber Predictions, ROH/OKC, @CarlosCondit, @BretHart on Ross Report Podcast Tuesday, Cornette & Kimbo!, RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross August Shows Heating Up, WWEShop.com

Happy Sunday to all and thanks for dropping by our site. Take a look at the Q&A's that we update multiple times per week plus the blogs that I post several times a week, as well, and the photo gallery that I'd be willing to bet many have never checked out. Our site is free, mobile device friendly, and a labor of love as I use it to keep in touch with the fans and to keep those interested in our various projects and shows. No paid ads will be found.

WWE Elimination Chamber is tonight on the WWE Network of which I will be watching live and likely tweeting from @JRsBBQ as well. Here are some predictions for tonight's show from Corpus Christi, Texas:

WWE Champion Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose will be a match of the night candidate for sure and my expectations for this match are high. I think Rollins retains. Remember, it's not the kiss of death to lose via another's finishing maneuver without kicking out of it multiple times.

IC Title match inside the Elimination Chamber is unique and the Intercontinental Title was on its way to becoming meaningful again until Daniel Bryan had to relinquish the title due to injuries. I'd love to see Dolph Ziggler win the championship but it's to unpredictable to call which I see as a good thing. Ziggler would be a great IC Champion as he can have excellent bouts with anyone on the roster plus he's over with the fan base. Sheamus is also a strong candidate to win this match.

WWE Tag Title Bout is really a crowded field and the best team in the hunt, Cesaro and Kidd, would be great champions to build around but New Day has the potential to become solid villains so it's another match that is hard to call. Don't discount the Matadores in Corpus Christi winning either but my pick is Cesaro and Kidd which is likely just my wishful thinking.

John Cena vs. Kevin Owens is an intriguing match and a great opportunity for WWE to 'make' Owens vs the biggest star in the company whose losing would not hurt him a bit. It's time to make new stars and in order to do that someone who is over has to do the honors and tonight is a great opportunity for Owens to upset Cena. That's how I'm picking, Owens over Cena, although I'd be shocked if that occurred. Owens is my pick. Win or lose Owens needs to making memorable impact.

Naomi seems to be the logical choice to win the Divas title and then to be chased by fan favorites Nattie, the Bella's, and Page, among others. Naomi is a great athlete and her promo work has impressed me lately as well. Another unpredictable match to call.

Neville beats Bo Dallas in a match that might surprise many if they have the time to tell a good story.

Elimination Chamber matches are hit and miss because the structure is so limiting and dangerous for the talents. Hopefully no one is injured tonight in this unfriendly structure and don't be surprised if the Chamber doesn't open someone up before the night is through.

Enjoyed attending the ROH show in OKC Saturday night and seeing many old friends including promoter Gary Juster who I've known since my Jim Crockett Promotions days in the 80's. ROH's talents and staff are very exited about their show going on Destination America beginning this Wednesday night as the lead in to TNA Impact Wrestling. In less than stellar confines in the OKC Fairgrounds, I never heard one talent complain including having no showers in the arena and they went out and worked extremely hard before a highly loud and enthusiastic crowd of approximately 800 die hard fans. Nice seeing my former broadcast partner Kevin Kelly, along with Steve Corino, who was there voicing matches over for ROH VOD. Highly encourage all fans to watch ROH Wrestling on TV and to support them at their live events including their upcoming PPV coming up later this summer.

The return of @carloscondit Saturday night to the Octagon for @UFC was a smash hit, no pun intended, on @FoxSports1. His year plus absence from competition due to injuries seemingly did not affect Condit at all. 'The Natural Born Killer" never fails to disappoint in the Octagon. Condit redefined the term Slobber Knocker as he destroyed Thiago Alves nose.

Subscribe to the Ross Report Podcast for FREE at iTunes and know that it helps us immensely. This Tuesday my conversation with @BretHart drops at 9 pm ET on podcastone.com and @iTunes. It's a great show and I will also provide my thoughts on tonight's WWE Elimination Chamber event. Bret talks at length about his late brother Owen and the family's thoughts on the upcoming Owen Hart DVD, Bret's concussion issues and his thoughts today on Bill Goldberg who caused the concussion, Bret's uneventful tenure in WCW, and today's wrestling product. Yes, we do touch on the 1997 Montreal debacle to some degree, as well. This is one of our most compelling interviews that we've done and I feel confident that you enjoy and remember that you listen for FREE.

I'm interviewing both Kimbo Slice and Jim Cornette, the ultimate odd couple, this Tuesday night for a Ross Report Podcast that will drop Tuesday evening June 9. Kimbo will talk about his upcoming MMA fight on Spike TV with Ken Shamrock while JC and I will talk many things pro wrestling including the Mid Atlantic Legends Fan Fest in Charlotte coming up July 30-August 2.
