NEWS
2K Sports is releasing a new paid downloadable content pack for WWE 2K15 today called "Path of the Warrior," which features some of The Ultimate Warrior's most memorable matches, like his WrestleMania wins over Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage and his squash of The Honky Tonk Man to win his first WWF Intercontinental Championship.

The Ultimate Warrior statue that Triple H and Warrior?s family revealed at WrestleMania Axxess last Thursday night was created by ATTA Inc. at their studios in New York City. ATTA previously created the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy and the Bruno Sammartino statue for WWE. WWE officials really enjoyed working with Dana Warrior during WrestleMania 31 week and it?s expected we will see more of her in the future.

While attending the NXT event, Michael Hayes posted on Twitter "Right now in San Jose at NXT, and the kids are blowing up the place!! Future looks bright, gotta get my shades...OH, I have them on."

Jack Swagger talked to John Pollock of The Fight Network about feuding with Rusev, Brock Lesnar re-signing with WWE, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and more. Swagger said Lesnar is an amazing athlete and is at the top of his game at 37 years old. Swagger said he wasn?t surprised to see Lesnar re-sign because he can see that Lesnar truly enjoys being in WWE. To see the video, click here.

WWE released the matches for the upcoming Daniel Bryan DVD. Among them is Daniel Bryan vs. Jack Swagger vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Ryback from 7/22/13

Sting briefly spoke with The Associated Press last week to promote WrestleMania 31. The article noted that Sting vs. The Undertaker could be a possibility for WrestleMania 32 but Sting commented on his future after this Sunday?s WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view saying ?I?m feeling like this is probably going to be my last one. We?ll see how everyone reacts. If I?m asked to do one more at Survivor Series or maybe even WrestleMania next year, at this point, I would consider it. But realistically, this is going to be my last one.? To read the entire story, click here.

Sting and The Underaker were seen at an airport together as they were headed home from California. The two actually shared a locker room together at WrestleMania 31. There was indeed a lot of talk between the two about a potential match.

In comments given to the Associated Press, former WCW and TNA champion Sting said that his match against Triple H might be his last one of his career although the door is open for one more match. "I'm feeling like this is probably going to be my last one," Sting said. "We'll see how everyone reacts. If I'm asked to do one more at Survivor Series or maybe even WrestleMania next year, at this point, I would consider it. But realistically, this is going to be my last one." The Icon said that in retrospect, after rubbing shoulders with the WWE people, he sort of wished he?d done this years before. "With hindsight, after rubbing shoulders with the WWE and all the different departments, it's like, 'Wow, man, I should have done this a long time ago,?? he added. Sting and The Undertaker was the super fantasy match that everyone was hoping for for this year?s WrestleMania but WWE went in a different direction after Taker?s involvement this year was still not confirmed when creative kicked for WrestleMania kicked in. With WrestleMania 32 in Texas next year and WWE hoping to break the all-time record at a WrestleMania, a Sting vs Undertaker match would be a perfect send-off, for both.

While WWE has ignored Sting?s TNA run, Dixie Carter is reminding everyone as TNA capitalizes off the Sting WrestleMania buzz with their new Best of Sting DVD. She posted on Twitter "For the last 10 yrs, @Sting ruled #TNA & became our 1st Hall of Famer. Own the ICON's new DVD: http://impac.tw/1BpA2Fj."

Saturday WWE held the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, an event which spilled just over the four hour mark with very long speeches. Hosted by Jerry ?The King? Lawler, the event honored Rikishi, Larry Zbyszko, Alundra Blayze (AKA Madusa), Connor Michalek, The Bushwackers (Bushwacker Butch & Buchwacker Luke), Tatsumi Fujinami, Randy Savage, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Kevin Nash. Doing the honors for the inductees were The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso), Bruno Sammartino, Natalya, Daniel Bryan and Dana Warrior, John Laurinaitis, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. Out of all the speeches, Alundra Blayze and The Bushwackers stole the show hands down with their entertaining deliveries.

WWE officials asked several stars to cut their speeches short on Saturday night at the 2015 Hall of Fame ceremony, including Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair. Officials were not pleased with this year?s ceremony overall as they felt the show ran way too long and it wasn?t exciting enough. They were said to have have loved The Bushwackers speech, with the feeling it was a perfect mix of their characters and telling old stories. However, they were not happy with Madusa?s use of adult language and some weren?t happy with how she put over Eric Bischoff. Regarding Shawn Michaels, he tore up his prepared speech and was going off the cuff when he inducted Nash. WWE officials weren?t happy with Shawn?s use of the words ?strap? and ?wrestler? in his speech.

Many people noticed how 2015 WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi did not mention Too Cool partners Scotty 2 Hotty or Grand Master Sexay in his speech. Scotty went on Twitter and re-tweeted comments from fans about how Rikishi should have mentioned them also. He also tweeted his own comments "In Dec. 99, 3 guys that were pretty much obsolete in the wrestling biz came together and made each other. 1 apparently doesn't remember that". One fan tweeted back saying "Sounds like @TheScotty2Hotty is bitter". Scotty responded "It's not at all bitter, its hurt." He then responded "It's not at all about us being in the HOF. He absolutely deserves it. Just as we deserved a mention."

Sports Illustrated?s Extra Mustard blog has a lengthy new article up on ?Macho Man? Randy Savage. The piece features quotes from Savage?s mother Judy, his brother Lanny Poffo, and other legends. Jerry Lawler talked about feuding with Savage saying ?The first time we worked together, when it was ?promotion against promotion,? we sold out at the arena with 23,000 people. That was unheard of in wrestling. But Randy was so cool. He was a great athlete, and he was a little bit out there. He had a bit of a temper, and he was moody at times, but he was his own guy. I really grew to respect him.? Ted DiBiase talked about Savage's relationship with Miss Elizabeth ?I would never consider having my wife around a bunch of wrestlers. Randy tried to protect Elizabeth, but that created some tension between the two of them.? Ric Flair talked about his WrestleMania VII match with Savage saying ?We brought the best out in each other. When you have that kind of chemistry and respect for each other, it doesn?t take a lot of thought-process to go out there and make music in the ring. Randy was still playing minor league baseball when I first met him. I was there in his corner during his infancy in the business, saw him blossom and become so much better. I was proud of him, and wrestling him at WrestleMania was awesome.? Sting commented on his friendship with Savage saying ?Randy Savage, ironically, is one of the guys I looked up to. I loved him. He was so out far out there with his character. There was something about it I could identify with. I used to tease him a little bit in the dressing room in front of all the guys, and say, ?Come on, just talk in your normal voice.? ?This is my normal voice, what are you talking about?,? he?d say. It was funny. We?d always try to get him, but I never heard him talk any other way than just like this, brother! Living the character helped him, absolutely it did.? Lanny Poffo commented on a Triple H interview that led to an infamous Stephanie McMahon rumor saying A reporter asked [WWE heavyweight champion] Triple H what he thought of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. Triple H responded with, ?They were great, but they?re dinosaurs.? Randy saw this as a deliberate attempt to hurt his brand. Randy insinuated he [wanted] to take Triple H, slap him in the face, take his girl, Stephanie McMahon [the daughter of Vince McMahon and the wife of Triple H], and drive her around the block, then give her back to him,? Lanny says. ?It wasn?t right, but Randy was provoked.? To read the entire story, click here.

Extra Mustard had another article with several WWE Superstars talking about WrestleMania. Sting said ?There is a large wrestling audience that doesn?t want to say goodbye to my generation. Guys like myself, Ric Flair, and Hogan, and the fans still appreciate us. And it goes both ways, absolutely, because it?s the same for me. It?s hard to walk away. I thought, in the beginning, my career would two, three, four, five years and then out and done. I never imagined, all these years later, I would still be in the ring and still wrestling. In March of 2001, I thought it was over with. It?s unbelievable how time flies, and it?s still a thrill for me. I want to give my fans something to remember.?

AlArabiya.net has an article on ?The Arabian Superstar? Hakem Wakur, a Muslim wrestler who lives in Germany and wants to make it to WWE. He named Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Big Bossman and The Ultimate Warrior as his inspirations. Wakur was trained at former WCW star Alex Wright?s school and had a tryout with WWE on their last stop in Munich.

WWE?s website has an interview with former WWE Superstar Gangrel about his longtime friend, 2015 Hall of Famer Rikishi. Gangrel commented on working with Rikishi at their Knox Pro Wrestling School. He said ?It?s awesome. It?s like working with family. When we train people, we bring them up like family. To be honest, we?re stealing their energy. There are all these young kids with hopes and dreams, while we?re fading to the back. We feed off their energy.? You can read the interview by clicking here.

Mick Foley was recently interviewed by "The Shining Wizards Podcast" where he discussed WrestleMania 31, working with the RAINN Foundation, and more. Foley also discussed the potential of WWE Superstar, Curtis Axel by saying "When something gets over with the boys, you know you?re on to something. One win in the right place could really launch Axel." Foley also discussed his thoughts on women's wrestling, particularly the WWE Divas Division saying "I sense that the wrestling world is ready to accept good female wrestling. I really hope that they?re given the chance."

Jim Ross and his wife were sitting ringside at the NXT live event last week at San Jose State University and when Triple H pointed him out during intermission fans chanted ?JR? and even got a couple of ?Holy shit? chants from the NXT faithful. This was the first time that JR attended a live WWE event since he was fired right after "SummerSlam 2013" following a train wreck WWE 2K panel which Ric Flair basically took over and the script went out of the window. Ross saw last year?s WrestleMania from his hotel room and has said that this year he will be watching the show from his home as he flew back home to Oklahoma after his one man show. ?Helluva time at @WWENXT show. Over 5000 fans w/ amazing atmosphere,? Ross wrote on his Twitter after the show was over. Triple H also acknowledged the chants from the show when JR was introduced, writing, ?I hear you. I hear you LOUD and CLEAR. @WWENXT #NXTSanJose?

Between 600 and 800 fans attended the Jim Ross one-man show in San Jose on Saturday. JR?s special guest was Samoa Joe and it was strongly indicated that Joe is headed to WWE soon, according to F4Wonline.com.

Michelle Beadle of ESPN was at the Jim Ross show and also attended WrestleMania. She did the Brock Lesnar inteview on Tuesday. Ross made a knock in jest at Erin Andrews when introducing Beadle, since the two are rivals.

Tickets for the May 16th "Evening with Jim Ross" in Baltimore, MD went on sale this past Friday.

Last Monday night, Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling announced some kind of GFW events for "this summer" in Las Vegas, NV. No talent announced, nothing about it being a TV taping, though one would think that if the shows are in Las Vegas, it's to get a site fee to subsidize TV tapings and/or have easy access to tourists to fill out the audience, and no specific date(s) listed.

A company called Power Pro Wrestling Figs which specializes in wrestling memorabilia is selling Abdullah the Butcher?s WWE Hall of Fame ring on eBay. The eBay entry has photos of Abdullah wearing the ring as well as photos of the ring on its own and a short video of himself showing off the ring in its case. The ring was presented to him in 2011 when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and now the same ring is being sold for $20,000 minus one cent with free shipping. No offers have been made for the ring yet although there are 97 accounts watching the auction. To view it you can go to eBay.com and search for item 391092579646.
