5-28 WWE RAW

Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch & WWE RAW World Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz def. Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin, Johnny Nitro & Kenny Dykstra. After the match, Benjamin took the mic and congratulated the Hardys, saying they won the match, but they didn't beat the World's Greatest Tag Team. Benjamin then challenged the Hardys to a match for the tag team titles at One Night Stand PPV. The Hardys agreed, but made it a ladder match.

5-31 TNA iMPACT

Jim Cornette was in the ring at the beginning of the show. He announced to the crowd that, due to personal reasons, Jeff Jarrett could not compete in the King of the Mountain Qualifying match tonight. That left Cornette with a hard decision. Christian Cage's music played and he, A. J. Styles & Tomko made their way to the ring. Cage demanded the spotlight and asked what was wrong with this picture. He said they're going to throw a party and Cornette was not invited. He then asked Cornette to raise Styles' hand in voctory by forfeit. Cage went on to say that he thought the way Cornette did business was a joke. He knew that Cornette wanted to set up a 5-on-1 situation at the last PPV: Kurt Angle, Sting, Cornette and 2 referees. Then, Cornette threw Cage & Tomko in the ring with the Latin American Xchange for no reason. Now, Cornette won't reveal to Cage who his King of the Mountain Qualifying Match opponent is. Cage said it's HIS show. Cornette took the mic and slowly said that he was sorry he didn't do business the way Cage wanted him to. He then informed Cage that he WAS going to raise Styles' hand in victory due to forfeit, but since he was doing such a "bad" job making decisions, he decided to change that idea. He then announced that Styles would wrestle Tomko in a Qualifying Match. Styles went nuts. Tomko smiled. Cage still demanded to know who his opponent was. Cornette says that Cage's opponent is someone Cage has called a "punk", "worthless" and "beneath his class", but not to worry about that right now because he has other problems to solve.

Leticia was back in Jim Cornette's office with Eric Young. Young said that Robert Roode was making his life hell. Cornette walked into his office, saw Young sitting in his chair and got upset. Young told Cornette that Roode was calling him at all hours of the night. At that point, Robert Roode & Traci Brooks arrived and reminded Young that he had been given 1 week to get a lawyer. They asked him if he did that and he said no. Cornette then stepped forward before things could get out of hand and proposed a match for Slammiversay. If Roode won, he could fire Young. In FACT, if Roode won, Cornette would fire Young himself. But if Young won, the contract tying him to Robert Roode Enterprises would be dissolved and Young would be a free man. Roode agreed, had some final words for Young, then left. Cornette started to give a pep talk to Young, but before he could get far, Bob Backlund walked in and demanded a match against Alex Shelly & TNA World X Division Champion Chris Sabin at the Slammiversay PPV. Backlund said that they had his book and he was OK to compete because he passed his drug test. Cornette reminded Backlund that he was 57 years old. Backlund countered by saying that he has more effervesance than anyone else on the roster. Cornette made the match, telling Backlund to bring that effervesance to the PPV. He then asked everyone in earshot if they had an office he could use since his seemed to be taken over.

Sting attacked Christopher Daniels prior to a match between Daniels and Rhino. Sting and Daniels fought all over the Impact Zone. With Daniels unable to compete, Rhino issued an open challenge and it was accepted by LAX. While addressing the crowd, Konnan spotted Hector Guerrero and goaded him across the barrier where he served as an unofficial manager for Rhino.

Rhino (w/ Hector Guerrero) def. Homicide. The other LAX members then attacked Rhino in the ring. Guerrero entered to get Konnan, but the 3-on-2 odds were too much. Then Chris Harris came down to help, but the damage was already done and LAX stood supreme, burying Guerrero under the Mexican flag.

Laticia was backstage with Christian Cage, A. J. Styles & Tomko. Styles was irate and asked why Cage kept putting him in these kinds of matches. Cage said they're like brothers and brothers fight. Tonight, Styles & Tomko will go to the ring and the better man will win. Tomorrow, they'll celebrate. Cage tried to get them all to put their hands in the middle and yell "Christian Cage" on 3, but on "2", Tomko grabbed Styles' throat and said tonight would be short and painless.
