On the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary show, clips were shown of SNL appearances by Dwayne Johnson (AKA The Rock), Vince McMahon, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, The Big Show, Mick Foley, and John Cena. There was also a Celebrity Jeopardy sketch shown where Norm MacDonald, playing Burt Reynolds, answered a question of "Who was Andre the Giant".

Insane Hardcore Wrestling Entertainment's Southern Wrestling Hall of Fame inductions will be June 6th and 7th in Crowley, TX during their "Old School Hustle" weekend with matches and inductions. Inducted this year will be Mark Lowrance, Steve Cox, Steve Williams, Leroy McGuirk, Giant Warrior Jeff Bearden, and Tim Storm.

The Baillergeon Brothers, all six of them, along with referee Adrien Desbois (who died in an auto accident in 1985), Billy Robinson, and The Road Warriors were voted into the Quebec Wrestling Hall of Fame. The Baillergeon Brothers were most strongman competitors, acrobats and pro wrestlers. Kevin Steen was named Quebec Male Wrestler of the Year. LuFisto was named Quebec Female Wrestler of the Year. Mike Bailey, who debuts with Pro Wrestling Guerilla on February 27th, was given the Edouard Carpentier Award as Best High Flyer and NSPW in Quebec City, which averages 500 fans per month, was named best promotion.

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants basketball team of the NBA Developmental League will have "Pro Wrestling Night" on February 22nd at their home game. Jim Cornette will be appearing and the entire game will have a pro wrestling feel to it.

Lance Russell will be appearing at "Jeff Osborne's Comic Con" in Evansville, IN on April 17th and 18th. They are going to do a Hall of Fame ceremony for Russell and Bill Dundee since the WWE will never induct either. Jerry Lawler and Jimmy Valiant will be there for Russell and Dundee.

Gypsy Joe, who was the oldest regularly working wrestler, well into his 70s a few years ago, was in ICU Sunday battling pneumonia. Joe, now 81, retired about four years ago. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Oklafan extends congratulations to Chelsea, whose daughter Lyric was born Sunday.
