JR's Blog: @TonySchiavone Podcast Exploding, New, Ross Report Guests Booked, JR & USA Today Sports, Sooners Open at Home, Lucha Underground Info

College football season is here in the USA and I couldn't be more ready to tailgate with some of the best grill masters around....let's get to cooking!
Getting amazingly positive feedback on our @TonySchiavone24 podcast now on the Ross Report which is FREE at podcastone.com or at iTunes. Subscribe for FREE at iTunes and you won't miss an episode. I'm also doing a reoccurring guest role on @steveaustinBSR podcast this week as well. Both Steve and my podcasts can be found in the same places. I hope that you will subscribe to both at no cost to you.
Talking to Tony was so cathartic to me and brought back some great memories. I'm happy that I found out that I inadvertently helped him get a raise in Atlanta. :)
Oklahoma hosts the Duck Dynasty guys alma mater Louisiana Tech this Saturday evening here in Norman. OU is a heavy favorite and I'm anxious to see how this edition of @Oklahoma_Football is going to look coming right out of the box. I will be on the sideline sweating under the black hat and loving every minute of it.
The Sooners have a great deal of talent returning that finished with three straight road wins in 2014 plus the squad is healthy and raring to go. OU has a legit chance to fight there way into the Final Four of College Football this season but you can't win them all if you don't win the first one.
Back to the podcast world, @TheBobHolly, @itsvadertime aka Leon White, and @TheRealXPac aka Sean Waltman are all coming to the Ross Report in the next few weeks as we continue to add to an already impressive schedule of guests to finish 2014 in a strong way.
Doing some research on the recruitment of Brock Lesnar to WWE and on @HeymanHustle aka Paul Heyman and his national, cable TV beginnings in Atlanta for WCW. This will be a piece for FoxSports.com and will be posted in a few days. There are some interesting stories concerning both men that I think that you will enjoy.
My involvement with USA Today Sports is going to be writing about college football. This project will commence in about a week or so. More to come.
Lucha Underground debuts its English speaking version of the new, pro wrestling TV show on Wednesday night Oct 8 at 8/7 central on the El Rey Network. Former WWE creative team member Chris DeJoseph aka Big Dick Johnson when performing back in the day is Co-Executive Producer of the new series. Chavo Guerrero will also be involved in the broadcast and will have some administration responsibilities. John Morrison/Hennigan, Rycklon Stephans aka Ezekiel Jackson, Angela Fong aka Savannah in WWE and Karlee Perez aka Maxine in WWE will be a part of the talent roster comprised of American talents and luchadors from AAA. Former WWE employees Chris Roach and Matt Stollman are also involved on the production side. I wish this crew the best of luck with their new, one hour show. The Spanish version of this show will air on Saturdays on UniMas Network.
Interested in the Rhodes boys antagonistic turn on Monday Night RAW. I think it helps the tag team scene that is still a work in progress. Dusty's boys are unique to say the least and I like their potential contributions as both have somewhat been underutilized.
Thought the Bella's segment on RAW was what is was, a good opportunity for both, nonetheless, but it was missing Stephanie McMahon's presence in my view. Steph has been a major contributor to this story line.
When those talking about the Jack Swagger-Rusev rivalry, it seems as if the goal is to enhance the persona of Rusev at the end of the day but Swagger can maximize his minutes and help his own cause. Baby faces that get over never go down without fighting their heart out, selling with their head up and never quitting on the fans. Simple but true philosophy.
