Brian Blade's Blog: WrestleMania -- Good Not Great
Posted: Apr 8th 2014 By: Brian Blade
WrestleMania 30 will be remembered for a long time, mainly for the end of the streak. I was as shocked as anyone that Lesner defeated the Undertaker. I have always believed that if the streak was broken, it should have been done by someone getting pushed as the next megastar. Brock is believable in beating the Undertaker, but he is a part timer. Even if he lost he is still a beast. Now the WWE really has to give him a title shot and maybe even the belt. It will be interesting to see what they do with Brock in the next few months.
Daniel Bryan finally won the title, which was great for fans, but where does he go from here. No one wants to see another feud with Randy Orton. It was a great moment, the yes movement moves on, the ultimate underdog finally wins, but now he is not the underdog anymore. Now he is the hunted, lets see how the fans respond.
I really liked Caesaro winning the Battle Royal. He is on his way up and I for one want to see him feud with Bryan.
Cena and the Wyatts still have a long way to go. This could turn into a great story and feud if it is not rushed. Keep Cena away from the title picture for a while and people may start to like him again, but maybe not.
The Shield looked awesome. It doesn't look like they are splitting anytime soon and renewing a feud with the Wyatt's could be great.
Divas match was a Divas match. Nothing of note.
Overall a very good production, my feed worked just fine, liked all the guys that had bands playing them to the ring. Fireworks and light show were great. Matches were good to very good, but this was not the best WrestleMania ever. I will give it top 10. I am still very fond of WM 18 and 19. Mania xxx will be remembered fondly, but was still missing something.
