4-23 WWE RAW
Ric Flair joined Carlito backstage as Carlito was preparing for his match against the Great Kahli. Carlito barely spoke to Flair.
Ric Flair came down to console Carlito on his loss to Kahli, but Carlito was irate, asking where Flair was and whether they were a team. Carlito then said some things to Flair in Spanish in an angry tone and Flair stared dumbfounded, then walked back up the ramp.
Mick Foley did a video promo from backstage. He said he knows they all are thinking how ridiculous he looks in his new clothes. He doesn't get to be in Great Britain that often and wanted to look his best in London (cheap pop). He was thrilled to bring out Michael Pena to make the Backlash PPV main event. He then introduced Edge, who wanted to thank him for making the main event happen. He's excited about taking out Randy Orton and then promised to get a big cup of coffee to watch Shawn Michaels and WWE RAW World Champion John Cena kill each other. He then said that Foley's book was nice and left.
4-26 NWA-TNA iMPACT
Kurt Angle and Sting wrestled to a No-Contest in a match to determine the #1 contender to the NWA World Title when Scott Steiner, A. J. Styles, Tomko & NWA World Champion Christian Cage attacked both men, putting a beat down on both until Sting could grab a chair and clear the ring.
Jeremy Borash interviewed Team Cage. He said it looked like Cage's intention was to take Kurt Angle out of the World title picture. Cage said he's tired of people trying to jump the system when there are plenty of other top contenders like Shark Boy and Sonjay Dutt. A. J. Styles asked what about him. Cage quickly covered himself by saying he was going to get to him. He then said that it was just going to be him and Sting at Sacrifice PPV. He told Tomko & Scott Steiner to bring home the tag team gold for the group. Don West entered and said that he just go off the phone with Jim Cornette who has ordered Cage to defend his title against Sting this night and if any of the Team Cage members show up, Cage will be disqualified and lost the title.
Jeremy Borash interviewed Sting. He said last week he and Angle had a problem, but they agreed to meet in the ring and settle it. Sting didn't want to earn a title shot this way and he was sure that he knew what Christian Cage was thinking: Sting was the aging veteran and Cage is the champion in his prime. Sting said that didn't matter and it was showtime.
Jeff Jarrett was revealed as the secret friend of Eric Young when he came to the rescue of Young as he was handcuffed in the ring and being double-teamed by Robert Roode & Traci Brooks. Jarrett disposed of Roode, who had to stand by and watch while Jarrett gave Brooks a guitar shot.
NWA World Champion Christian Cage def. Sting by DQ when Kurt Angle interfered and attacked Cage. Sting's frustration got the better of him and he hit Angle with his bat as the show ended.
