Why Tim, Why?

Why Tim, Why?

Posted: Oct 5th 2013 By: mikeiles

Tim Storm is once again the TCW Heavyweight Champion. This is a title that Tim craves with every inch of his body, a title he's bled, sweated and cried over. We've seen him come very close to cracking after losing the belt in the past. We've seen the brutal wars he's engaged in to rise back to the top of the TCW roster and the fans cheered loudly every time he had his hand raised in victory and that big gold belt was passed to him.

Well all that changed on the last episode of TCW.

Tim can lay claim to being the Champion again but he can't say he did it on his own, like he has in the past. That's because to take back what is obviously his obsession and life's blood, Tim did the unthinkable. In the closing minutes of an excellent match for the Championship between Storm, Sigmon and the former TCW Champion, Scott Phoenix, Matt Riviera made his way to ringside. I figured he was coming out to help Sigmon. After all, Sigmon was the only heel in the ring and I thought he'd be an interesting addition to the Empire and at that point, figured he was also getting ready to be the next TCW Champion.

Boy, was I wrong.

Matt Riviera passed a chair to Storm, of all people, who then proceeded to crack Phoenix's skull and three seconds later he was the new TCW Champion. Greg Anthony and Steve Anthony joined them in the ring, where in a very surreal moment, all four men posed together.
Now Storm just has to live with himself and his actions. This is a man who has feuded heavily with the Empire in the past. They've taken the title from him and prevented him from winning it through nefarious methods countless times. Is Storm's desire to be Champion so strong that he will do anything to hold the title? Because he turned his back on all his fans when he hit Scott Phoenix with that chair. He lost all the credibility he's worked so hard to establish since he came to TCW.
I have to ask tho, is being the Champion really worth all your sacrificing, Tim? You have placed your trust in a nest of vipers who have done nothing but try to destroy you in the past. Are you sure they won't try to do the same thing again? You'll have to be watching your back constantly, knowing these men could (and probably will) turn their backs on you in an instant. What if Riviera decides Greg Anthony would make a better Champion? What do you think will happen if you refuse to just hand the belt over to Riviera? You'll be right back where you started. Only this time you won't have the fans supporting you because you showed your true colors and proved there's nothing you won't do to be Champion.
It's not too late tho, Tim. Come to your senses before it's too late and tell the Empire to take a hike. Go to Scott Phoenix and offer him a fair shot at the belt you stole from him and then apologize to the fans for your actions. Do it now when they'll still accept you and forgive you.
Otherwise you can follow the path you're on now and enjoy some initial success but it will be at the cost of everything you've professed to love about the wrestling business.

The other big news from this weeks episode of TCW was the return of my favorite tag team, Genetic Perfection, Michael Barry and Alan Steele, with their manager, Rick Rude. They went to war against TCW Tag Team Champions the Hounds of Hell and Boyd Bradford. After a brutal hard hitting and very good match it looked like Barry and Steele were poised to win the belts but Kincaid hit the ring and saved his team by earning them a disqualification. A horrendous beatdown followed, seeing Steele put through a table and Barry whipped with a belt. Rude was bleeding from the mouth while Bradford gloated as the Family stood triumphant over Genetic Perfection.

The big question here is just how bad was Steele hurt going through that table? A similiar incident almost cost Michael Barry his career. Hopefully Steele isn't hurt too badly because this rivalry between the Bradford Family and Genetic Perfection is shaping up to be the hottest feud in TCW.

With Matt Hardy and Americos beating the Empire as well, this weeks TCW was jam packed with action and progressed storylines. I can't wait for John Saxon to show up soon and get a little revenge on the Empire himself for costing him a match in the best of seven series. I can't wait to see him wrestle Steve anthony, that should be a tremendous match.

Alright folks, be sure to tune into the next episode of TCW with me to find out what happens next. Thanks for reading.
