News:
Jimmy Kimmel was joking about Bill Goldberg on his show Friday night. Phil & Gavin Maloof, the co-owners of the Sacramento Kings and The Palms were guests, plugging "Bullrun," the Goldberg show on Spike. Kimmel said it sounded like the movie Cannonball run. One of the brothers said it wasn't cheesy like the movie, it's a great show, Goldberg is the host and Kimmel interrupted and said "It's not cheesy, Goldberg is the host...okay," and everyone started laughing.

Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann did a segment on ESPN Radio's "The Dan Patrick Show" on the wrestlers linked to steroids. Olbermann did a mock gasp when he heard wrestlers were involved with steroids. Patrick talked about wrestlers like Brian Pillman and Rick Rude dying so young. Olberman talked about how Ernie Ladd was so gigantic (insinuating steroids, although the 6-9 didn't come from steroids), but said he was so huge it couldn't have been natural. Patrick mentioned Gregory Helms, Randy Orton and Edge. They tried to equivocate steroids in wrestling with the belief the Rolling Stones and The Beatles made some of their albums when they were on something to entertain people with their music.

Apparently Jim Carrey was approached about inducting Jerry Lawler into the WWE Hall of Fame, but Carrey turned it down.

During an interview with the Between the Ropes radio show, Jerry Lawler was asked about the Memphis video library. "The King" claimed that he's never talked to WWE about selling the library, but they plan to negotiate in the near future.

Ric Flair is very disappointed that he didn't have a match scheduled for Wrestlemania 23. Reportedly, Flair was told he would face Carlito at Wrestlemania, but two weeks later, the match was scrapped.

Mick Foley's third installment of his autobiography, 'The Hardcore Diaries', slipped two places from its last week's placement in the New York Times Best Seller list chart. In its third week on the chart, Foley's 384-page book sits in the eight position after first debuting in the 7th place and then moved to the 6th place a week later. Foley's "Hardcore Diaries" is the most successful WWE book since Ric Flair's autobiography, which was released in 2004. Many top book chains didn't even carry Eric Bischoff's book. Foley is pushing for a run as Raw General Manager, but may have damaged his chances with what he wrote in his "Hardcore Diaries" book.

More than 400 people showed up Wednesday for a Mick Foley book signing in Troy, MI. Foley's quote in Slam Wrestling on the event: "There's always the fear when you do a book signing that no one will be there. It makes me appreciate what Al Snow goes through on a daily basis."

At Wrestlemania 23, Dusty Rhodes participated in a backstage dance with Cryme Tyme (Shad & J. T. G.), Eugene, Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Slick, Jimmy Hart, Sgt. Slaughter, Mike Rotunda, and Ricky Steamboat. Ron Simmons made an appearance during the dance and said his newest catchphrase "Damn".

During his talk at MIT University on 3/29, Jim Ross stated that Vince Russo at one time wanted his job as head of talent relations.

Chris Masters is using the same hair restoration surgeon that was used by Chavo Guerrero Sr., Chavo Guerrero Jr., Jimmy Hart, and Larry Zbyskzo.

Craig Ferguson on "The Late Late Show" Thursday talked about Wrestlemania for about a good 5 mins of his 12 minute opening segment. Craig claimed to be a "huge wrestling fan" and was talking about wrestlers finishers. But they were 80's stars such as: Jimmy Snuka, Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes. Also, he said "Who gives a crap about Trump - what's he's got to do with Wrestling?"

Ron & Fez on XM talked about the WWE Hall of Fame, asking why Randy Savage, Bruno Sammartino, Brutus Beefcake and Razor Ramon weren't in. They both agreed Dusty Rhodes should be in, but Ron said Scott Hall did more than anyone that is going in. They also said Jim Ross and The Wild Samoans didn't deserve to go in.

Jeff Jarrett has until the television taping after the May PPV to make the transition from NWA titles to TNA titles.

The Great Muta's deal with TNA is to exchange younger talent. It's unlikely that All Japan will seek main eventers like Kurt Angle and Sting. Apparently, All Japan and TNA have come to terms on the talent exchange agreement, but have yet to sign anything.

An article appeared in the Nashville City online newspaper about former Nashville Knights hockey team announcer Craig Jenkins, who did ring announcing for NWA-TNA during its time in Nashville. Knight was quoted as saying that after travelling around the country for 15 years doing various announcing gigs, he got a call from Jeff Jarrett when TNA was beginning: "When I got a call from Jeff (Jarrett) and I found out I would be based in Nashville, I knew I was coming back," Jenkins said. I've learned never to say never to another job opening, but this is where I'd like to stay."

The Yukes is producing a nostalgia pro wrestling videogame called The Abdullah the Butcher vs. The Destroyer based on stars from the 70s.

Chavo Guerrero Sr. did commentary for the "Viva La Lucha" pilot commissioned by the G4 Network in Tijuana, Mexico this past Friday. The pilot featured several Southern California workers who had most recently been seen on WSX.

In the March 26th issue of ESPN Magazine a story was written by Dan LeBatard about Shaquille O'Neal and other famous big men. The next to last paragraph states: "It ain't easy being a giant. Nobody roots for Goliath, as Wilt Chamberlain once famopusly said. You grow up awkwardly, stared at and different, and it can leave scars that echo into adulthood. It is why the biggest men in sports - Randy Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Russell - are viewed as enigmatic, moody, difficult. And it is why Andre the Giant reportedly once drank 119 beers in six hours."

MSWA Mid-South Champion Ryan Davidson suffered a stinger at the MSWA show Sunday when he was piledriven on his championship belt by Brad Michaels after fighting off other members of Impact, Inc. No word has reached Oklafan yet about Davidson?s status.

Sassy Merlot was injured March 31st at the Mid-States Wrestling event in Harrison, AR. She was scheduled for a match against Lexington Starr and during her entrance she was attacked by Starr. Referee Joe Jones tried to stop the attack and was given a low blow. Ring Announcer Mike Iles then tried to stop the attack and was hit with a chair. Starr then continued her attack using the chair on Sassy's right hand. Bubba Hall ran Starr off and carried Sassy to the locker room. Sassy's right wrist was then immobilized and she sought medical treatment at a local hospital.
