NWA-Texoma "Ardmore Mania" Review

NWA-Texoma "Ardmore Mania" Review

Posted: May 3rd 2013 By: CMBurnham

What another eventful night with mayhem and return of old faces and the return of Mr. Saturday Night Michael Barry. This was an event that some of the fans of Ardmore were waiting for as they waited in line at the HFV Wilson Community Center to get in to see what was in store for them this time.

Tonight was a night that will definitely be remembered in the record books.

First match of the night Montego Seeka verses Armani. Armani was definitely not alone since he brought his mouthpiece Jerry the Boss Bostic with him to the match again. This was a different turn from last months match when Montego got a title shot against Byron Wilcott and now he had to face ? of the Rock Star Mafia. Speaking of, where is the leader of the team? Did something happen? Was ATM involved?

This match started just like it should have many flying aerial moves and a lot of action that the fans loved to see. The match was a switch from the tag team persona that Armani is used to working as of late since joining NWA Texoma, Montego tried to over come the assaults from Armani and the outside interference from The Boss, but it just wasn?t enough as he was pinned for the 3 count and the win for Armani. This was a great opening match with more surprises to come.

Second match of the night NWA Texoma Champion Tim Storm defeated The Largeador Michael Faith. The match started with the 2 big men testing the strength of their opponents but soon it was too much and with the outside interference by Byron Wilcott the match was over via disqualification. Byron stated not to disrespect Michael Faith but he deserves the title shot and since he was the former NWA North American Champion he deserved the title shot. After a short but long explanation from the former Champ, Tim got his chance to speak and to that in one small statement, ? he accepts his challenge and the title is on the line tonight.?

Next match was the new comer Dustin Heritage, trying to get a chance to shine against Barrett Brown, after being screwed last month by Rock Star Mafia. Barrett Brown defeated Dustin Heritage. Dustin was a great competitor and definitely gave Barrett a run for his money. I don?t think this is over between the 2 wrestlers as after the match Dustin asked for a rematch. Wonder if the board will accept?

We were greeted with a message from the NEW NWA TEXOMA WOMEN'S ROSE CHAMPION BREE ANN. Bree got to express her excitement after beating Barbi at the last show in Sherman just a week earlier and also her follow-up match the following night in Amarillo when NWA Texoma invaded Top of Texas. Just as the message was being shared, the First and Former NWA Texoma Womens Rose Champion Kyra Maya rudely interrupted her and she stated that the title reign would be short as she will soon be ready to return and take what was taken away from her because of her injury. Does this mean that Kyra is back? Is she here to make a statement? When will this return take place? Stay tuned.

Also Tonight Team Kick A selected their next member for the Survivor match set to come in just a few months. As Tim Storm and Robert Langdon selected Barrett Brown.

Semi main event of the night was Mr. Saturday Night himself Michael Barry verses the Prince of Crimson, Al Farat. This was a great old school match with the styles of the great two wrestlers as they competed to make a name for them in the town of Ardmore. This was a match that the fans were waiting for since Mr. Saturday Night has not been seen in Texoma in almost 2 years. Michael Barry was victorious and his hand was raised as he defeated the Prince of Pain in a match that looked like it would have ended with the spike and the victory for Al Farat. Congratulations Michael Barry and welcome home to Texoma.

Main Event for the NWA Texoma Title. Tim Storm defeated former NWA North American Champion Byron Wilcott. This was a match that looked like it was stacked againt the champ from the beginning as Michael Faith came out to make sure that Byron got the victory but in the end it was actually Tim who got the last laugh as Byron hit his finisher on Michael Faith instead of Tim, while he was celebrating and getting ready to pin the Champ for the title, he was hit with Tim's finisher and the pin for the 1-2-3 to end the match and Still NWA Texoma Champion Tim Storm
