Ric Flair returned to WWE on Monday during the three hour Slammy Awards edition of "Monday Night RAW" in Philadelphia, PA. Flair appeared at the top of the second hour to present the award of Superstar of the Year award to John Cena. Cena eventually gave the award to Flair but the Flair welcome was quickly cut off by WWE Champion C. M. Punk and his manager Paul Heyman. Punk ran down the two time WWE Hall of Famer, calling him a loser just like the rest of the people in Philadelphia. Flair challenged Punk and walked down to the ring. Punk hit Flair with his crutches and imitated Flair's strut. Flair eventually stood up and poked Punk in the eye and then locked the figure four on Paul Heyman. The Shield interrupted Flair's speech after getting rid of Heyman and Punk and attacked Flair. Kane and Daniel Bryan came to help but were laid out as well. Just before The Shield triple power bombed Flair through the table, Ryback came out to save the day. Flair, Kane, Bryan, and Ryback then celebrated in the ring. Flair last appeared on a WWE show earlier this year when he was granted permission by TNA to appear at the Hall of Fame ceremony and the next day at WrestleMania.

In an interview with WWE.com, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair said that WWE is "the best place in the world to work", adding that he loves being there and appreciates all the friendships and loyalty among the people who work at WWE and the fans. When he was asked about C. M. Punk and being the best in
the world, Flair told the interviewer to give him 60 days so he can get in shape and in two months, he?ll tell him who?s the best in the world. "I don?t want to say something I can?t back up right now,? Flair said while smiling. Meanwhile on Twitter, Flair wrote a message saying he is "so happy to be home? while Hulk Hogan, his former colleague over at TNA also tweeted a message saying it was great to see Ric Flair "doing his thing again."

WrestlingObserver.com reports that Ric Flair has not been signed by WWE and his appearance was considered a guest shot, per company officials.

After his return to WWE this past Monday on RAW, Ric Flair posted on Twitter "WHAT A GREAT NIGHT! THANKS TO ALL MY LOYAL FANS! SO HAPPY TO BE HOME!"

Eric Bischoff posted on Twitter about Flair's return to WWE "Very happy for RIc Flair."

Jerry Lawler won the "Comeback of the Year" Slammy at the "WWE Monday Night RAW" live telecast in Philadelphia, PA this past Monday. The Slammy was presented to him by The New Age Outlaws (Jesse James & Billy Gunn). Other Slammy winners include Kofi Kingston's handstand save at the Royal Rumble winning the "Tell Me I Did Not Just See That Moment of the Year", presented by Booker T and Boogeyman, A. J. Lee and John Cena for "Kiss of the Year" presented by Vickie Guerrero, John Cena for "Superstar of the Year" presented by Ric Flair, The Rock for the "LOL Moment of the Year" presented by Santino Marella and Tensei, Ryback for "Trending Now Hashtag of the Year" presented by Zack Ryder and Layla, Ryback for "Newcomer of the Year" presented by Sheamus, and The Undertaker vs. Triple H for "Match of the Year" presented by Gene Okerlund, Ricky Steamboat, and Jim Ross.

On TNA television, they ran a few promos for 1-3-13, which is the next live episode of "Impact Wrestling", and the promos appeared to be for the return of Sting. TNA has also noted 1-3-13 on their social media.

Several Ring of Honor contracts are coming due shortly, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Some of the wrestlers are calling around looking to be if there other options for them. Reportedly, Mike Bennett recently had a visit with WWE. On a side note, there is speculation that Jim Cornette may not return to ROH, or return in a different capacity.

There is a documentary called "Mansome" directed by Morgan Spurlock focusing on Shawn Daivari and body hair in pro wrestling that also has cameos from Matt Morgan, Dixie Carter, Pat Kenney (AKA Simon Diamond), and Jeff Jarrett.

On the ABC TV show "The Chew", they did a segment on cookies and a discussion broke out about The Wild Samoans. The question was whether The Wild Samoans was the name of people or a cookie. Michael Symon, a host, then talked about Lou Albano, and said that Jimmy Snuka was cousins with the Samoans.

Missy Hyatt posted on Twitter last week "Job searching again in the Tallahassee area today".

Zach Linder & Craig Tello of wrote a story entitled "WWE's 20 Meanest Grinches" and among those listed were The Million Dollar Man (Ted DiBiase), King Kong Bundy, Jerry Lawler, Roddy Piper, and Repo Man.
