WWE News: Should Ric Flair Appear on a Permanent Basis for the Company?

Posted: Dec 19th 2012 By: mikeiles

For viewers who were watching WWE Monday Night Raw last night, it was an unexpected moment.

Ric Flair, who had been out of the television spotlight since his departure from Total Nonstop Action Wrestling earlier in 2012, returned to Monday Night Raw in a Slammy Award segment with WWE Champion CM Punk and manager Paul Heyman.

In the segment on Raw, Flair showed viewers that he still had some wrestling left in his storied career.

After being hit in the back by Punk with a crutch, Flair went on to take out the WWE Champion. Turning his attention to Heyman, the 16-time World Champion put Punk's manager into a figure four leg lock to the pleasure of the live crowd.

This was indeed a special moment for the WWE, as Flair provided magic once again for the company.

With Flair's return last night on Monday Night Raw, should the WWE bring him back on a more permanent basis?

With a WWE product in need of a boost heading into its WrestleMania fever, Flair's return could bring much needed help to its flagship shows: Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown.

Although Flair should remain inactive as a wrestler, the 63-year-old could be used in many ways to leverage the WWE, from working in an advisory role for an upcoming superstar to even becoming a General Manager on either Raw or Smackdown.

Nevertheless, Flair brings much needed attention to WWE's product and can create positive momentum given his legendary name in the wrestling business.

Flair's TNA run was less than memorable, but on Monday night he showed viewers that he still has the ability to remain active in a large role.

With his return last night to Monday Night Raw, Flair is getting a fresh start late in his longtime career. Perhaps another run with the WWE would cap off Flair's remarkable list of accomplishments.
