Dusty Rhodes will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before Wrestlemania 23. It was officially announed at the WWE RAW TV taping in Portland, OR on February 12th. Congrats goes out to "The American Dream". It should be noted that the WWE Classic Superstars 13 figure of Dusty Rhodes has the larger hair and his "trademark" birthmark splotch on his stomach.

No other names have been officially announced for the 2007 WWE Hall of Fame although rumors abound that Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, and The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) will be included.

There are reports circulating that WWE is considering a Mick Foley vs. Umaga match at Wrestlemania 23.

WWE.com has a video up where Paul London and Brian Kendrick talk about how their ring entrance was inspired by The Ultimate Warrior.

Beth Phoenix is sporting a new look in 2007. Check her out at her MySpace page (www.myspace.com/wwebethphoenix) where she posted a blog about her new look. Phoenix is still currently training in Ohio Valley Wrestling awaiting to be recalled to the main roster of WWE.

On April 10th, WWE will release a new DVD 3-disc set entitled "Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen". Highspots has released a picture of the cover art the DVD will have and can be viewed at www.highspots.com/images/images_125/zkk9_4horsemen.jpg. No word yet as to what matches will be included, however it will feature Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, Sting, Lex Luger, Brian Pillman, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, and more.

WWE will also release a new Mick Foley DVD 3-disc set entitled "Mick Foley Greatest Hits & Misses Hardcore Edition" on March 6th.

Ken Patera recently signed and returned his JAKKS Pacific contract to the company, so there will be a WWE Classic Superstars Ken Patera figure out sometime this year.

A. J. Styles was listed as "fresh new talent" and Jeff Jarrett and Sting were listed among the "recognizable stars" on TNA's poster that was setup at the 2007 Toy Fair event in New York City on February 9th & 10th.

Speaking of Styles, TNA will release "Phenomenal: The Best of A. J. Styles Volume 2" on April 3rd.

Jerermy Lappen of Elite Xtreme Combat and Jeff Jarrett are friends and TNA has been trying to do some sort of MMA tie-in with them for years.

Tracy Smothers has been confirmed for Juggalo Championsh!t Wrestling's 22 city national tour. With this tour, Smothers is booked for JCW in Salt Lake City, UT on March 3rd and he was already booked for the Primal Conflict Wrestling event in Shenandoah Junction, WV. It will be interesting to see which commitment Smothers will honor.

Greg Mosorjak at countgrog@earthlink.net is putting together a Wahoo McDaniel record book. He's got results of more than 2,000 McDaniel matches, but he's looking for any help. In particular, he's looking for stuff from the 1960s and his independent results from the 1990s.

Independent Wrestling Manitoba will be folding as of April 1st. The promotion is blaming its closing on the Greg Valentine no-show over the weekend that cost the group both its venue and its TV station. To say the promotion is furious is putting it mildly.

Sooner Pro Wrestling Champion Running Wolf suffered an injury at a show in Kansas on February 3rd, requiring heavy amounts of stitches in one of his legs. In a recent update, the stitches have been removed, but he still has not been cleared to return to the ring and if he is not approved to wrestle by February 24th, SPW management has promised to strip him of his title.

In other SPW title news, SPW management has decided that events at the last SPW show have caused the SPW Tag Team Titles to become vacant. At the last show, Bobby Burns & Running Wolf brought back an original member of the Texas Outlaws, Dan Wilder. They then threw Angel out of the group and gave Angel's half of the tag team titles to Wilder. The problem here is that Wilder was not a signed member of the SPW roster and the contract stated that the tag team champions were Bobby Burns & Angel. Thus, in effect, when Burns gave the title to Wilder, he was actually forfeiting the titles and SPW management has called him on this. There will be a tournament at the next SPW show to determine new SPW Tag Team Champions.
