WWE Raw: 5 WCW Superstars We Would Love to See on the 1,000th Episode

For 80-plus weeks, WCW won the Monday Night War. It changed the course of cable television.

But in the end, the WWE won the war with the purchase of the fledgling promotion. Because of it, WCW played a key role in the success of the WWE today and the 1,000 episodes the company has enjoyed.

We have seen many stars come and go over the years, but some stars stick in our minds as cult-like heroes, faces of the promotion or those who helped the WWE continue on its upward trend.

For every Ric Flair, there were 50 Van Hammers. Not something to hang your hat on. But these are some wrestlers I wouldn't mind seeing again as Raw celebrates 1,000 episodes on Monday night.

Goldberg

He had the best 15 minutes of fame in wrestling history.

The streak. Winning the WCW World Title. The cult-like following he enjoyed.

And then it was gone.

There have been rumors about his return for years. There have been comparisons to him and Ryback and Batista.

Bring Goldberg back because the fans would love to see him.

Dean Malenko

There are few superstars who did more without talking than Dean Malenko.

The son of Boris Malenko and then a member of a version of the Four Horsemen, he was a great scientific wrestler who made the jump to the WWE with Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn as a member of the New Radicals.

Arn Anderson

Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard left WCW to wrestle in the WWF and became world tag team champions.

Arn is the greatest wrestler to never win a world title. Unfortunately, he was never given that chance.

I think he was a better talker than Flair, a better wrestler than Flair and perhaps the best tag team wrestler a partner could ever have.

Raven

He is the most misunderstood wrestler ever to come across a squared circle.

And we were entranced by him with his vignettes and his misguided comments.

I personally loved Scott Levy's character and followed him in ECW.

He was golden on the mic.

The Steiners

No tag team embodied the WCW more than the Steiners.

Big, athletic and technical. And when they needed to be, very forceful and possibly the strongest men in the business.

As singles competitors, Scott was more successful. The Dog Faced Gremlin was a better tag team partner.
