Beth Phoenix: Did WWE Diva Really Hurt Her Ankle on Monday Night Raw?
Posted: Apr 25th 2012 By: mikeiles
The WWE knows drama, and I think they sure did cook some up on last night?s Monday Night Raw.
Actually giving the diva?s some attention for once, the creative team decided to pit Beth Phoenix against Nikki Bella with the Divas Championship on the line.
In a lackluster match (if you ask me), Phoenix ended up hurting her ankle at some point during her loss, surrendering the title belt.
On Twitter, she made it sound like the injury was rather serious:
Thank you to everyone that helped me thru the airport this morning. Will keep every posted on MRI and xray results. Believe me...nothing
...hurts worse than my heart right now after the loss and even worse thought of missing competition. But i have been bere before, and if
...there is one thing Beth Phoenix knows how to do, it's rise from the ashes. The title will be mine again. #unbreakable

That may not be the case. According to Prowrestling.net, the injury is not legit and she was told to sell the ankle injury as much as possible.
Why would she have to sell an injury?
Because Kharma may be coming back.
It makes perfect sense for Kharma to make a surprise appearance at this week?s Extreme Rules PPV event and challenge the Bella Twins for the diva belt.
Considering the lack of buzz around the twins, odds are their contract is not going to be renewed after it expires on April 30th.
WWE can shock fans with the return of Kharma, after almost a year layoff. According to Wrestling Inc, she will be returning to the ring in the very near future. Kharma is by far the biggest draw on the women?s side of WWE and the diva division has seriously lacked any sort of real buzz since her departure.
This is the chance to spark some much-needed fire into it.
With Kharma beating the twins at Extreme Rules, Phoenix can ?rehab? from her injury in time to challenge her at an event such as SummerSlam.
So don?t feel too bad for Beth Phoenix after her injury; it might have been nothing more than a setup for a future feud with fan favorite Kharma.
Don't expect her ankle to get in the way.
