Jerry Lawler returned to "WWE Monday Night RAW" last night. This past weekend he brawled with Terry Funk in a no holds barred match for Northeast Wrestling in Poughkeepsie, NY. Lawler has previously said that Funk is his all-time favorite opponent to work with. Earlier in the day on Monday, Lawler posted the following on Twitter: "Just landed in Lafayette, LA? driving now to the Cajundome! I?m ready & excited to be back on #Raw tonight!!"

There has been talk of doing an angle to bring Booker T back for a short program with Cody Rhodes, similar to the Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole program.

Jim Ross posted on Twitter last week that he just did an interview with an Edge DVD that will be released soon.

WWE superstar Jimmy Uso, son of Rikishi, was arrested last Thursday for sriving under the influence in Tampa, FL. Tampa police "observed the defendant traveling the wrong way on Howard Avenue in a silver Mustang." Uso had a blood alcohol level was .180 ? more than twice the .08 level "at which a driver is assumed impaired, under state law."

Due to Michael Cole, the term ?anal bleeding? was trending last Monday night on Twitter during Raw. Apparently Vince McMahon thought that Jerry Lawler crack was hilarious?which is apparently where the line was fed from. He may have been the only one.

"The Soup" on E! had both wrestling and MMA references. They made fun of Michael Cole's line about anal bleeding for Jerry Lawler from Raw, and made fun of Marcus Brimage saying that he farted on Ultimate Fighter.

The BBC News web site has a story on 82-year-old Saleh Ghaleb, who wrestled a match on Friday night in Dariaston, England. The story said that the Guinness Book of World Records has a category for oldest pro wrestler and they are investigating. Shouldn't have to look hard because Mae Young did the match with LayCool last year on Raw at age 87, although she never actually got into the ring. To read the story, click here.

There was a very unfortunate situation on Saturday at the Yokozuna Memorial Show put on by World Xtreme Wrestling C4 in Chester, PA at Harrah's Casino. According to Chuck Langerman, Sandman & Road Dogg were in a tag team match and Sandman appeared to be in no condition to perform, spoke and was slurring his words, staggering around the ring and made some lewd remarks to women at a family oriented show. Samu, who put on the show, came out and appeared to be very upset, and yelled at Ian Knox to hit him and get some heat. He may have also hurt himself as he was holding his shoulder on the way back to the dressing room when Samu had to come out and get him. Road Dogg left with a look of disgust on his face.

Independent wrestler Devon Nicholson has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against WWE, accusing talent relation officials of rescinding a job offer because he had tested positive for an infectious disease. In the lawsuit filed last Monday in Ontario Superior Court, Nicholson claims WWE hired him then revoked the contract even though he disclosed he had Hepatitis C. The lawsuit alleges that in May 2009, Nicholson took part in a WWE tryout camp in Tampa, FL. He was praised by Pat Paterson for being the best wrestler in the camp and subsequently received a three year talent contract. The company flew Nicholson to Pittsburgh, PA on August 20, 2009, to undergo medical screening under WWE medical director Dr. Joe Maroon. According to the lawsuit, ?On the day of his medical examination with WWE physicians, Devon informed the WWE?s medical staff that he was Hepatitis C positive. Devon had recently discovered, on June 23, 2009, that he had tested positive for Hepatitis C. The first doctor he consulted, Dr. Donohue, informed him that with the WWE?s ?No Blood? policy, he would have no problem in clearing him to wrestle. The second doctor consulted, Dr. Sisk, informed him that it was WWE?s medical director, Dr. Joe Maroon?s ultimate decision. Devon finally spoke to Dr. Maroon over the phone several days after his medical examinations in Pittsburgh. He was informed by Dr. Maroon that his medical decision would be taken by talent relations.? Nicholson later received a phone call from Ty Bailey from WWE?s talent relations department who informed him that his contract was being rescinded, saying this was due to a licensing issue, and not related to his health condition. Nicholson is seeking $600,000 damages for wrongful dismissal, $250,000 damages for emotional distress and suffering, and punitive damages in the amount of $5 million. Nicholson is asserting that by rescinding the contract that they discriminated against his human rights and caused him psychological and financial injuries. Nicholson has claimed to have contracted Hepatitus C from Abdullah the Butcher after Abdullah used the same blade to cut himself and then cut Nicholson during a match.

Mick Foley did an interview with Silver Vision in the United Kingdom, the official distributors of WWE home videos in Europe, to talk about his upcoming comedy tour gig in the country as well as his time in WWE. One of the questions was regarding the coincidence of him having ?off? days from his tour when WWE will be in Liverpool for RAW and Smackdown television tapings on November 7 and 8. ?Well, technically, Monday and Tuesday are media days to do press for the UK tour, but hey, if I happen to get an itch for being at a WWE show again, Liverpool is not beyond my reach,? Foley said. The hardcore legend hasn?t kept it as a secret that he wants to come back and for him, it?s not a matter of if, but when.

Last week Jim Cornette noted that he hadn't seen "Memphis Heat," the documentary on wrestling in the city. His wife posted Wednesday that they both saw the movie last night. Don't know what he thought of it, but he probably liked it.

In an article by Alex Marvez detailing Stan Hansen?s new biography, Hansen claimed that Bruno Sammartino told him that after he broke Sammartino's neck by accident in a 1976 match, that "connected" people told Bruno, "Let me know if you want me to take care of this." Hansen said, "Thank God Bruno said, `No, that's all right, because I'm going to get him.'" Sammartino, who said he has no problem with Marvez, noting that he knows Hansen said it in his book, said such a conversation never happened. Sammartino was said to have been happy that Marvez killed the first column and replaced it with a second one that deleted Hansen's quote. Chris Cruise said that Sammartino was satisfied, but puzzled that Hansen would have said such a thing.

Chavo Guerrero Sr. & Chavo Guerrero, Jr. who had a controversial visit to Tijuana, Mexico on September 16th where they were asked to a take a drug test by commissioner Rey Misterio Sr. to which they denied his request. They then were told not to compete on the scheduled show at Auditorio Municipal but decided to come through the front door of the arena showing up before the fans to announce their presence in the main event causing a scene and getting them suspended for a year by the Box y Lucha Commission. There was a big dust up between Chavo Sr. & Rey Sr. over many issues that led to this but the suspension honestly doesn?t mean much because Chavo Sr. rarely wrestles and Chavo Jr. never comes to Mexico.
