ROH announced a 6/24 press conference with new COO Joe Koff, Cary Silkin, Jim Cornette, plus several wrestlers including Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and The Briscoes at the WBFF TV Studios in Baltimore to push the Best in the World 2011 iPPV show on 6/26 from the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Roddy Piper wrote on Twitter that WWE paid him $5,000 for his appearance on last Monday?s Raw but had a wild night and had spent it all before he left Long Island.

The originally-scheduled match for Sunday night was Sin Cara vs. Cody Rhodes, but they decided to go with Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne instead. One of the reason's Bourne is getting the mini-push now is that they want him to be one of the featured performers at Money in the Bank next month.

As it is now scheduled the Matt Morgan vs. Pope and Gunner vs. A. J. Styles matches from the TNA BaseBrawl house show this weekend will be airing in their entirety on Impact. They are both tournament matches for the title match at Bound for Glory in four months. If they actually pull this off, which is open to great debate, the series will be a great way to get fans into the matches, make the finishes mean something, and even promote the house show events.

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Waterloo, IA announced Monday that Jim Ross will be receiving the Lou Thesz Award at the Lou Thesz/George Tragos Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame inductions on July 22nd and 23rd. The Lou Thesz Award is given to an individual in wrestling who has taken the skills of professional wrestling into the realm of public service. Jerry Brisco will be inducting him at the banquet at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in Waterloo, Iowa. TNA has reportedly signed former WWE developmental talent Dakota Darsow, the son of Barry Darsow (AKA Smash and Repo Man). He was signed after wrestling a dark match last month. His television debut will be next Thursday night, June 23rd. He will be appearing in an X Division matchup against talented indy star Shiima Xion and Federico Palacios, who is better known as Azrieal. Darsow was under a WWE developmental deal and assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling from 2008 to 2009.
