Breaking Treyfabe: Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others

A few weeks away from Elote caf? & catering?s Cinco de Mayo Street Festival, I?ve been able to conduct interviews with some of the wrestlers prior to this big event.

Luchador matches start at 5pm, including some title fights. Admission is $5, kids are free up to a certain age. Of special interest will be the wedding of the Beer Princess to the Barfly.

Expected in attendance will be the staff of Oklafan.com, who just can?t stay away from the best show in town.

You can also catch the Luchadors at Elote this coming Thursday night as they support a good cause, the HOPE foundation?s yearly Dining Out for Life fundraiser-if you cannot attend feel free to get more information and donate at www.hopetesting.org

La Omega de Huracana aka Animal Control, who has been interfering in matches of late and has cut some mean promos, is rumored to be in attendance. What surprises he has in store for the festival you will have to show up to find out. I know this writer is looking forward to his ring debut and only hope it is at Cinco de Mayo.

Gold Digger will be facing the Grasshopper in a women?s bout. I had a chance to talk to Gold Digger.

What are you going to do during the wedding?

I can?t say.

I haven?t RSVP?d yet.

Why the rematch?

Grasshopper is bitter after our last fight, hence the rematch. Doesn?t matter, I expect this to be a squash match much like our last one.

Is there a reason Moses Manson will not be escorting you to the ring on Cinco de Mayo?

I have a special ride planned out.

You have been very vague during this interview Gold Digger.

I usually get paid for doing interviews. You are lucky I?m wasting my time on this amateur hack of a blog.

After Gold Digger abruptly walked out on our interview, I had a chance to get a reply from the Grasshopper ?

You have already lost to Gold Digger once, what are you going to do to ensure victory this time?

She?s a dirty fighter who was lucky to beat me last time. On top of that, I?m tired of being everyone?s whipping girl and with the support of the Woodland Creatures I?ve been training really hard. I?d like to get this victory to show the Rudos in this federation that I am not a wrestler to be overlooked. On a day celebrating the Mexican Army?s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla, I too will be in a battle - reclaiming my honor. I am dedicating this match to those who trained me in Japan as well as everyone in attendance, I feed off of your energy and appreciate your continued support.

By the looks of confidence in Grasshopper?s demeanor, I am certain that she will come out victorious in her match?that and I think Gold Digger stole my wallet so I?m just a little pissed right now?.

Grandma Chaos will be facing Pain Fonda in a women?s bout. Some excerpts from my talk with Grandma Chaos.

What kind of lessons do you plan to teach the rookie in her first match?

Just because you are flexible and bubbly it is no match for 80?s years of wrestling experience. I am wise, seasoned, and just because I?m not as spry as her, doesn?t mean I don?t have any tricks up my sleeve?and/or cane.

Do you have plans for the women?s championship after this:

I do as long as La Margarita does not chain my wheelchair like she did last time. With a new adamantium hip I am certain that the third time is the charm in my quest for championship gold. To Princesa and Pain Fonda my last message is that they need to stop underestimating me because this Granny means business and I plan to prove it on Cinco de Mayo.
