MissouriWrestlingRevival.com announced their nominees for their 2010 year end awards last week. Mark Sterling was nominated for Wrestling of the Year, and nominated twice for Tag Team of the Year, once with Jeremy Wyatt and once with Steve Fender. Kraig Keesaman also received a nomination for Match of the Year for his match against Jimmy Rockwell on July 9, 2010. That match was Keesaman's retirement match.

The Royal Rumble match this year will not feature 30 WWE Superstars...but 40! WWE is going bigger by adding ten more to the over-the-top match. This was revealed by Joey Styles on Twitter on Monday saying "It will be the biggest Royal Rumble Match in history!" This year's Rumble will be the 24th annual, 23 of which aired on pay-per-view. The first Royal Rumble in 1988 was won by "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan but it was with the 1989 edition that the show was added to the "big four" pay-per-views. Steve Austin holds the record for most wins with three - 1997, 1998, and 2001 - followed by Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels with two.

Both Paul Heyman and Goldberg sent congratulations to Shawn Michaels on going into the WWE Hall of Fame. There has been talk of Goldberg going in due to the Atlanta/10 years death of WCW tie-in, but there are political hurdles to overcome, plus both HBK and Triple H have stated they don't think he belongs in. If this was a legitimate Hall of Fame, sure. But having Koko B. Ware in and saying Goldberg doesn't belong, well, that's kind of wacky.

Chris Jericho, the man who had one of the most enjoyable feuds on TV with Shawn Michaels, said on Twitter that HBK was his favorite opponent and greatest performer of all time: "Nobody else even comes close," Jericho said. "HBK IS the hall of fame!" Fellow wrestler Gregory "Hurricane" Helms, who went on a tirade against Shawn Michaels a few months ago, agreed to disagree with Jericho's statement and replied to Jericho: "BS! Flair did more & got more people over," he wrote. "The HOF is great but I take more pride & comfort in the fact that I've never 'screwjobbed' ANYONE in life or the biz! $$$ isn't everything," he added. Helms received a bunch of negative feedback for his comments and told his followers that having a different opinion is not a crime. "Flair got over people that absolutely SUCKED!! Shawn hadn't gotten over anyone but himself in the last decade," he continued before saying that he chooses to be a "shepard, not a sheep."

WWE announced the release of it?s new All Stars video game for March 29th, which is the week before WrestleMania. The are doing a deal at KMart where you get $10 off the game if you spend $30 on WWE merchandise. The game will feature over the top arcade-style gameplay with past and present wrestlers as playable characters, as well as commentary from Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.

British tabloid newspaper The Sun has revealed that both Hardys will be on the next TNA tour in the United Kingdom and Ireland which kicks off on January 21st. The tour will visit Dublin, Ireland, Glasgow, Scotland, Manchester, England, and London, England. Jeff's involvement seems to be somewhat strange however as the day before he has a court date and will be pleading guilty in the drug case against him. All other TNA top superstars such as Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, and the newly crowned heavyweight champion Mr. Anderson will also be crossing the pond as the company tries to fix its relationship with the region after "TNA iMPACT!" and pay-per-views have disappeared from local television following Bravo's buyout from Sky.

TNA currently has a promotion with Tom?s Snacks with Rob Van Dam, D'Angelo Dinero, A. J. Styles, Mr. Anderson, and Velvet Sky pictured on bags of chips.

Stevie Richards announced that he decided to leave TNA Wrestling after two years with the company. He posted on Twitter: "Just left Universal Studios. Had a great talk with Terry Taylor and Vince Russo about making the decision to quit TNA Wrestling. Thanks to everyone there for the past 2 years". Richards made his TNA debut in February 2009 under the name Dr. Stevie, Abyss's therapist. Although he did not show his face on TV for weeks, his voice was easily distinguished by fans and then eventually showed up in person at a later pay-per-view. His last match for TNA came on the November 11th "TNA iMPACT!" show where he wrestled A. J. Styles for the TNA World Television Title. He lost the match and was stretchered out after he was injured as part of the storyline.

With the hiring of Brady Hoke as the football coah at the University of Michigan, some in the local sports scene have been talking about Hoke-a-Mania, including playing Hulk Hogan clips. People were joking that he's hiring Randy Savage as the defensive coach. What is notable is with all the talk among hosts regarding pro wrestling and names being dropped, every name was from the 80s--Hogan, Savage, Iron Sheik, etc. and nobody even close to current.

On Mike Francesca's radio show in New York, they were talking some wrestling. A guy called in and compared the Bill Bellichick and Rex Ryan feud to that of Rick Martel and Jake Roberts. Francesca said that he last watched pro wrestling was when he was a teenagers and saw Argentina Apollo and Bruno Sammartino. Francesca listed Buddy Rogers, Antonino Rocca, Bobo Brazil, and Sammartino as his favorites and there were several give-and-takes with callers regarding wrestling later in the show.

On Thursday's "Pardon the Interruption" on ESPN, host Tony Kornheiser said in reference to Lebron James accepting his role as a villain: "If you want to be a bad guy, go out and be The Iron Shiek!"

On KOY-AM in Phoenix, AZ they noted Monday would have been Andy Kaufman's birthday (he would have been 62). When mentioning it, they said that he died in 1984 from injuries suffered from wrestling, which isn't the case, although there were angles in Memphis when Jeff Walton as a heel manager claimed Andy got cancer from a piledriver delivered by Jerry Lawler. Even on Memphis TV, they made fun of the idea, so it wasn't as if it was played for anything but comedy.

Oklafan would like to congratulate Shane Morbid who recently surpassed 6 months as TAP Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Reckless for the title on July 17, 2010 in Wagoner.

Oklafan wishes a speedy recovery to Tim Rockwell who hyper extended his knee in a Bullrope Match in which he won the TAP Oklahoma Heritage Title from Dutch Hagen this past Saturday in Wagoner.

Oklafan wishes a speedy recovery to Shaun Stratton who bruised his ribs this past Saturday at the TAP show in Wagoner when he missed a Moonsault in a tag team match with Cold Blooded chris against TAP Tag Team Champion Michael Barry & Dustin Heritage of Excellence Personified.

Oklafan extends its condolences to Ryan Reyes, who's grandfather passed away last week.
