Dusty's Blog: Good Promoter ? Kenny Valiant

Lord oh Lord, who is in love with the Miz in Vince McMahonland? And why weren?t they around when I was in the WWF?

I?ve written about a moron promoter. And I?m 100% positive I will run across another moron promoter before I?m done with all this mess called rasslin. But, I thought I?d write about one of the few promoters that understands what promoting is about.

Kenny Valiant out in Mississippi is a rare breed. Ken promotes to MAKE MONEY. Ken has no other reason to promote a rasslin show. Ken doesn?t get in the ring and play champeeennnnn of the worlllllllldddddddddd. Ken doesn?t have a son he pushes over everyone else. Ken doesn?t have a daughter or wife that has to be someone?s valet. Ken makes money. Ken makes money for himself, his backers, and his talent. And he does it every time. When Ken Valiant calls, you know you?remoney will be there that night, no questions asked. Ken wouldn?t be in the building if he didn?t have the money.

I have rassled in some strange places for Kenny Valiant. And some top names in those strange places. Days like rasslin Jerry Lawler in the parking lot of some car dealers grand opening. Or tag teaming with Jimmy Valiant at a WalMart. So many would say, ?not me. I?m too professional to do that? These are the same guys that take a $10 bill to be in front of family members, knowing Kenny would offer then 5-10 times that. These parking lot shows were all part of his plan, and that plan is coming together. I won?t fill in the blanks. Those that understand the rest, no explanation is needed. Those that don?t understand, no explanation will do. Kenny is poised to make some noise in Mississippi and Alabama. All by being an honest man and staying straight with those he deals with. A rare one in the indy world.

NOW, if I could just find a way to make the trips shorter.
