Jeff Jarrett is listed on January house show line-ups as a special referee for the TNA World Title matches between A. J. Styles and Daniels.

Sting will be special guest at the 2010 Mid Atlantic Legends wrestling reunion in Charlotte in August.

Ted Robinson was sitting in for Gary Radnich on Thursday on KNBR in San Francisco, and when the death of sportscaster George Michael came up, he started talking wrestling. He brought up being good friends with Gene Okerlund, saying he was friends with Okerlund from Okerlund's days in the advertising business, before he was ever hired by the AWA. He noted that Okerlund tried to recruit him into wrestling but that wrestling wasn't for him, and spoke about being with Okerlund one night in Oakland as Okerlund would tape all the localized promos, joking about how he'd see rivals yell and scream at each other and then be friendly when the promo was over. He said that Andre the Giant came in and said, "He goes outside." Okerlund said Robinson was his friend but Andre didn't want any outsiders watching his promos. And he did in fact, go outside.

The NFL Network has scheduled "Full Color Football: The History of the AFL" documentary for January 8th. It's the same one that originally aired on Showtime and includes clips of Ernie Ladd and Wahoo McDaniel in their football days. Check your local channel listing for NFL Network in your area.

Greg Valentine has allegedly changed his given name from John Wisniski Jr. to Gregory Lee.

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams has had to stop his latest round of chemo therapy because he cannot tolerate the treatment. Williams has fought cancer for several years and this may be the opponent he will not pin.

NWA Oklahoma announced on their MySpace site last week that the company was going on hiatus until April 2010.
