- WWE will be releasing a DVD entitled "History of the WWE Championship" on September 5th. Matches will include Bob Backlund vs. Greg Valentine, Hulk Hogan vs. King Kong Bundy, Hogan vs. Paul Orndorff, Hogan vs. Andre the Giant (2 matches), Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels vs. Mankind, and Triple H vs. Cactus Jack among others.

- On Billboard Magazine's Top 20 Selling Wrestling DVDs for the period of June 25 through July 1, "The American Dream: The Dusty Rhodes Story" is ranked # 3 while "The World Greatest Managers", which featured Jim Cornette and Percival Pringle III among others, was at # 4. "The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" was ranked # 17.

- Jim Ross' official website www.JRsbarbq.com will be ready for launch soon.

- Jerry Lawler threw out the first pitch before the Cleveland Indians baseball game on June 22nd at Jacobs Field in Cleveland, OH. Lawler also appeared at the Columbus Clippers vs. Pawtucket Red Sox minor league baseball game on Friday, July 21st in Columbus, OH. Lawler will also be appearing at the Ohio Valley Wrestling event at Six Flags in Louisville, KY on July 28th.

- At the San Diego Comic Con this weekend, the Simon & Shuster booth was giving away postacards promoting Mick Foley's latest book: "Hardcore Diaries". The back of those postcards featured some quotes from Mick?s handwritten manuscript. Foley was advertised to sign at their booth Sunday.

- Gunner Scott is once again Brent Albright in OVW, so it perhaps they have dropped his Smackdown name. At the July 19th Ohio Valley Wrestling TV tapings, Brent Albright defeated Aaron Stevens in a post TV dark match. At the OVW Supercard 2006 in Elizabethtown, KY Albright and Eddie Craven wrestled to a 10 minute draw.

- "Dr. Death" Steve Williams was in attendance watching the July 19th Ohio Valley TV tapings.

- Author Scott Teal is coming out with book about Jody Hamilton called "Assassin: The Man Behind the Mask." Hamilton runs WWE developmental Deep South territory.

- Nikolai Volkoff is running for Congress in Maryland as a Republican and Right Wing News did a short interview with him. They talked about his time in Yugoslavia, his defection to the US, how he came to play a Soviet wrestler, and Communism. You can read it all by going to www.rightwingnews.com

- Over the weekend of July 15th & 16th, Kishi was booked in Memphis with Brian Christopher as Too Kool II.

- A comedy titled "The Baron" about the life of Baron Von Raschke, which will feature tales of Andre the Giant, The Crusher, Mad Dog Vachon and more, will run next year from 4/14-5/20 at the Great American History Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota. The show was written by Cory McLeoud, in conjunction with the Baron and his son Karl Raschke.

- Jim Cornette remains as Ring of Honor commissioner and will appear at the August 26th ROH event in Chicago. Cornette's heel turn on Homicide was something that was in the works from day one of Cornette's Ring Of Honor return as Commissioner. The angle was held off for awhile once the ROH vs. Combat Zone Wrestling issue heated up, which wasn't something ROH hadn't expected as the CZW vs. ROH rivalry was originally designed as a one night appearance for Chris Hero, but took on a life of it's own. Cornette will be managing Adam Pearce in the future, something that was also in the cards from day one of Cornette's return. Homicide vs. Adam Pearce is scheduled for August 5th in Edison, NJ, while Homicide and Cornette being in the same building is one of the selling point of the September 16th Manhattan Center debut in New York City.

- TNA has added new shirts for Sting, The X Divison, and LAX at www.Shoptna.com

- TNAwrestling.com reports that Mike Tenay, Don West, Jay Lethal, A.J. Styles, Christian Cage, and various other TNA stars were all interviewed backstage before the Victory Road PPV for the upcoming Sting DVD.

- A new episode of TNA's online video show "Global Impact" will be available on both TNAwrestling.com and Spiketv.com on Monday. This weeks show will feature a preview of the upcoming "Women of Action" Spike TV special, a preview for Thursday's Impact, backstage footage of A.J. Styles, Kevin Nash, and Christopher Daniels, and Chris Sabin & Sonjay Dutt vs Senshi & Petey Williams.

- Mike Johnson reports that Jeff Jarrett vs. Sting at the Hard Justice PPV will take place inside the Six Sides of Steel.

- Former 2-time NWA Oklahoma Heavyweight Champion Michael Barry won the All-Star Wrestling Heavyweight Title on July 22nd in Harrison, AR by defeating former NWA-U referee Jake Boulder. Boulder had won the vacant title on April 8th of this year by defeating Barry and had been successful defending the title against Barry in May and Jim Fallon in June.
