- Wrestling legend Abdullah the Butcher is starting his own independent record label called "Abdullah the Butcher Records," reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Abdullah owns and operates a successful house of ribs restaurant in Atlanta, GA.

- WWE announced that a Roddy Piper DVD is set to be released 11/7/06

-Jake Roberts has been participating in the Wal-Mart FLW Kingfish Tour with his son Dustin on Steve's Seafood Team. They recently caught a fish that weighed in at 47 pounds, 9 ounces

- WWE has hired Tim Horner as an agent. According to reports, Dean Malenko and Steve Keirn will be working as ECW agents.

- At the the first OVW show at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in 2006, CM Punk successfully defended the OVW Championship against Brent "Gunner Scott" Albright. It was their last match in their bitter feud, where both men shook hands in respect afterwards as Albright heads back to Smackdown.

-Nikolai Volkoff is running for state assembly in the 7th district in Maryland. He is also planning a visit to his hometown of Split, Croatia for the first time since his defection from the former Yugoslavia in the late 1960's. He is currently employed as a code-enforcement officer by Baltimore County and occasionally wrestles in independent promotions.

And one last thing, although not "technically" Oklahoma wrestling related...

-Former Tulsa Driller and current Detroit Tiger catcher Ivan Rodriguez has been using the late Eddie Guerrero's theme song "Latino Heat" when going to the plate for his 2nd at-bat of the game.
