Speaking on his podcast this week, Rikishi revealed that he finally feels like WWE is listening to his ideas and vision for the future of his family.
The WWE Hall of Famer said he feels respected by the company and appreciated for the knowledge and experience he brings to the table. Rikishi noted that communication between himself and WWE has improved significantly and hinted that discussions have taken place regarding the future direction of his family members on television. While stopping short of revealing specifics, Rikishi teased fans by saying that "big things are coming" for the family, adding that supporters should stay tuned as plans continue to develop behind the scenes.
Octagon, Jr. reportedly suffered a potentially serious neck injury during AAA’s “Noche de Los Grandes” tapings after taking a top-rope DDT from Joaquin Wilde in a Fatal 5-Way Match. Octagon, Jr. did not move following the impact, prompting the referee to signal for medical assistance. He was attended to by medical staff, removed from the ring, and taken backstage on a stretcher. No official update on his condition has been released. The former AAA Latin American and World Trios Champion previously competed in WWE, challenging Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship at “Money in the Bank” in 2025.
L. A. Knight says he and A. J. Styles "got a phone call" after their unplanned brawl whilst doing media ahead of their match at WWE WrestleMania 40. He said, “I walked into the room and I’m shooting him looks, and he might have said some stuff. He’s doing his interview, I was talking to somebody else. So, whoever I was talking to, while I was doing that, A. J. is over here behind me. I’d given looks, and he’d referenced me, and I’d looked over there, and stuff. But at some point A. J. tossed a stool in my direction, and at that point all I’m thinking is again the depth of the story we had told up to now. I’m like, there’s no way I wouldn’t react if he throws his stool at me. What am I going to do? I’m going to fight him. So I go over and just start fighting him, and I’m thinking surely security is going to come and break this up real quick, and it just went on and on. We’re down there work-shooting, and he’s knocking me away, because we got to make it look good now, because we’re like, in the people. I’m like, where the f*ck is security? What is taking so long? Then finally, like, because we’re both blown up at this point. But yeah, it was just literally going off the cuff. How do I not serve the story that we’ve told this whole time, even to where he’s serving it now, just by throwing the stool. Obviously, I’m sure he wasn’t intending to get to where it got to, but in my head, I’m like, I have gone to his house to fight him. He throws a stool at me from five feet away. What am I going to do? Just shrug it off? No. So I went over there, thinking security is going to take care of it. They didn’t. I mean they did finally, but yeah, it took a minute, and so I hit that, he slammed the sh*t out of me, and he ended up with a bloody nose, so after that we both got a phone call, though, like, what are you guys doing, you can’t do that, and it was like, hey, I’m trying to keep it alive, I’m trying.”
Recent WWE Vault additions include The Honky Tonk Man & Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan & Ricky Steamboat in a dark match from January 1987, and a “Best of Action Zone” compilation that features Shawn Michaels & Diesel vs. Razor Ramon & The 1-2-3 Kid. Later in the week they uploaded The Ultimate Warrior & Strikeforce (Tito Santana & Rick Martel) vs. Mr. Fuji & Demolition (Ax & Smash) from the Boston Garden in 1988.
On Tuesday, Shawn Michaels posted on X: “Excited to finally share this one. @WWENXT and @TheCW present The Great American Bash, June 28 at 7e/4p. See you tonight for #WWENXT at 8/7c.” Click here to see the post on X. It also has a video of Michaels giving the announcement.
WWE is putting serious focus on building tomorrow’s stars, and Nick Khan just revealed how. In his chat with Sports Business Journal, WWE President Nick Khan shared details from a recent meeting with Shawn Michaels about the company’s future. The big takeaway? It’s time to “accelerate the next generation.” Khan admitted WWE has a lot of top guys 40+ still performing at an elite level. But to keep the machine running, new talent has to step up faster. HBK’s (Shawn Michaels) advice was simple: get them in front of live crowds. “We need to take them on the road so they get the crowd response of a live crowd. That’s part of what makes wrestling unique. If you’re getting cheered, great. If you’re getting booed, great. If there’s no response, terrible.” That live feedback is how stars are made, and WWE is investing in more live events for developmental talent to figure it out in real time. The next Roman (Reigns), Seth (Rollins), or Rhea (Ripley) won’t be built on TV alone. They’ll be forged on the road.
WWE’s continued scouting efforts come as the company looks to replenish its developmental system following a wave of call-ups from NXT after “WrestleMania 42”, including Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Ethan Page, Jordynne Grace, and others. WWE is now focusing on building its next generation of talent, with prospects such as Mason Rook, Kam Hendrix, Lizzy Rain, and Naraku already appearing on NXT programming.
WWE’s Adam Pearce showed his support for Rebel (Tanea Brooks) by sharing the link for her I Am ALS fundraiser.
Rebel thanked The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson), and Matt’s wife Dana Massie, for donating their YouTube live stream proceeds from last week to her ALS fundraiser: “BIG thank you to you guys and Dana. My heart is filled and I am truly grateful for your prayers.”
On the stream, Matt Jackson responded to someone who said they’d like to see The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) back in AEW. He said “I would love to do that, trust me. I may have tried to do that recently. They’re killing it right now. They’re so busy on the indies.”
In late 2025, Mick Foley criticized United States President Donald Trump’s negative comments about the death of film director Rob Reiner. In a follow-up, Foley announced that he is “parting ways” with WWE due to the company’s association with Trump. While speaking to Ariel Helwani, Foley discussed his decision to leave WWE: “Everyone has to make the decision that feels right to them. I sometimes describe someone’s big break as being more like a series of little breaks, like a ball peen hammer on a windshield. You don’t know which tap actually causes the crack, but without a multitude of them, that windshield’s not cracking at all. So for me, it was the comments about Rob Reiner, just heartless and unbelievably cruel comments coming from the most powerful man in the world finding joy in how somebody died. I don’t wanna paraphrase, but belittling the man who just died, somehow tying it into his own death, into, you know, Reiner’s dislike of Donald Trump. And for me, that was the ball-peen hammer tap that broke the windshield. And I just think WWE had a very cozy relationship where there was definitely the illusion of a relationship there, the perception rather. I think when 5 different people are posing in the Oval Office and they’ve all received Stone Cold Stunners, that’s a little cozy. And Ariel, I felt like even though I wasn’t technically employed by the company, but because I had a Legends deal, because my name’s been associated with WWE for over 30 years, that I was complicit in my silence and so I did speak up. I made the move that I felt was right for me. I love that company. I’m not going to disparage them, but it didn’t seem like a good fit. Didn’t seem like a fit that would allow me to look at myself in the mirror before I went to bed.” Foley also stated the following, “I didn’t close the door forever. As long as this man’s in office, I think more and more people are realizing that some of the things he’s doing are just cruelty for the sake of cruelty and enriching himself. I’m not here to talk politics, let’s skip this after here, but it is the reason I left WWE. I just want to tell people who are listening that it’s never too late to do the right thing. The best time to have made your voice heard would have been earlier, but the second best time is now. And if this guy, President of the United States, ratings dip into the teens, then maybe he’ll be forced to make some changes. Nobody wants to go down as the worst president in the history of this country. So maybe I’m naive, but maybe you can appeal, if there are better angels of his nature, maybe they can still be appealed to. But I’m not so sure there are. He’s definitely a different type of person, and I don’t mean that in a good way.”
While appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, Mick Foley was asked if he’s thought about telling Darby Allin that he does not need to take all of the risks he’s taking in the ring. Foley said “Yes, I will have that conversation. I didn’t think the time to have the conversation was hours before his biggest match [at “Double or Nothing”]. I’ve been told that people have had that conversation with him. And he says, ‘Everybody does the best stuff on the pay-per-views. I owe it to my fans to do it on every televised event. So, I’ll try to talk with Darby. I didn’t know until about six weeks ago that I was an inspiration in his career. But I will have that talk with him and try to find out, like, it’s got to be another gear where you can allude to the things, give people 80 percent of what you usually do, knowing that the vast majority of his fans will be thankful for what he gives them and they will understand that they might have to wait until a special event to get the 100 percent Darby. I understand many a man has tried and failed, but I’ll give him the best advice I possibly can.”
Mick Foley is embracing his new chapter in AEW, and his latest comments make it clear that he sees something special in the company. Foley took to Instagram and uploaded a video reflecting on his first experiences with AEW. While many legends return to wrestling promotions for a quick nostalgia appearance, Foley said the reaction he received from fans felt like something much deeper. “Now, there’s nothing wrong with getting a nostalgia pop—we’ve seen plenty of those, and they feel good. The reaction I got in New York was different. It was a reaction that said, ‘We’re glad you’re here,’ and that I could make a difference.” Foley was also careful to make it clear that his praise for AEW should not be viewed as criticism of WWE. Foley said he remains grateful for everything WWE gave him throughout his career. “In no way am I here to throw stones at WWE. I love the company—I always will. I’m appreciative of every opportunity they afforded me.” That said, Foley admitted that AEW owner Tony Khan’s enthusiasm has stood out to him since arriving in the company. While he noted that Vince McMahon had his own style of leadership, Foley believes the atmosphere is different in AEW. “But there’s something unique about the owner of All Elite Wrestling being so happy and excited. Vince McMahon had a different way of doing things, but it was a different type of joy.” Foley then discussed the mindset he sees among AEW wrestlers. According to him, talent appears more willing to take risks because they are not constantly worried about the consequences of failure. “It just seems to me that AEW wrestlers are out there, and they are playing to win because they know failure is part of the process. I’ve seen so many people over the years almost petrified to walk through the curtain because they didn’t know whether they’d get the thumbs up or down, figuratively speaking.” He credited Khan’s attitude for helping create that environment and said it reminds him of one of wrestling’s most famous eras. Foley said he is excited about what comes next and believes AEW is a place where wrestlers are encouraged to take chances. “Tony—that type of enthusiasm makes me feel enthusiastic. The energy backstage reminds me of the way WWE felt in the Attitude Era, where we were all pulling for each other but understood striking out was part of the process of hitting monumental home runs. So I’m glad to be in a place where wrestlers are encouraged to swing for the fences. I’m excited where this adventure will take me. I consider myself to be a Swiss Army knife, and I’m excited about the future—and wrestling that I haven’t been in many years.” The comments come as Foley’s role in AEW continues to expand. After debuting during “Double or Nothing” weekend and becoming involved in M. J. F.’s storyline, reports have indicated that Foley is expected to remain a regular part of AEW programming moving forward. Tony Khan has also suggested there is a strong chance Foley will be involved when AEW heads to Montreal, Quebec, Canada for “Redemption” in July. Foley’s first weeks in AEW have already gone beyond a one-off appearance, and his latest comments suggest he sees a long-term opportunity ahead. Whether he’s hosting events, appearing on television, or getting involved in storylines, Foley sounds energized by what he has found in AEW.

Jake Swayze recently broke his ankle. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
Oklafan congratulates Bishop Simon on the birth of his daughter, Jacie on June 2nd.
Oklafan extends condolences to Bernard Funk on the passing of his mother Sandra last week. Condolences are also extended to Christy, Dylan Feltz, and Tim Rockwell as Sandra was their mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-aunt, respectively.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Jerry Grey, who passed away May 25, 2026 from colon cancer. He was 62 years old. Grey began his career in MSW where he worked in preliminary bouts. His star began to rise when he went to the Florida territory and beat Tyree Pride for the NWA Bahamas Title. After that, he moved to the Pacific Northwest and formed a tag team with Tom Prichard, capturing the Pacific Northwest Tag Team Titles. Grey briefly returned to Mid-South, then headed to Memphis where he became the spiritual advisor to Dutch Mantel & Bill Dundee, using the name "Mega Maharishi", the same name (and gimmick) that Ed Wiskowski had been using in the Pacific Northwest. He only stayed in Memphis for a couple of months before returning to Florida, this time donning a mask as one-half of The Mighty Yankees. He and his partner would capture the Florida Tag Team Titles, but when Florida Championship Wrestling closed, Grey retired from in-ring competition and became a promoter all over the state. In total Grey had 9 documented Oklahoma matches at the time of this writing. The earliest was February 19, 1984 where he lost to Lanny Poffo in Oklahoma City. The last was July 24, 2009 where he teamed with Heiden Volkoff as 1st Class and they defeated The Generexicans (Gino Santana & La Parka, Jr.).
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Daniel King, who also competed as Handgun Dan. He passed away on May 30, 2026 and initial indications suggest he may have suffered an aneurysm. He was 39 years old. King was a standout in Texas and Kansas. He had held multiple titles with his partner Pierce Price in Kansas. But he had also carved a path for himself as a solo wrestler in Heartland Championship Wrestling up there. In Texas, he owned Bomb City Bar Fights, which held a unique niche in pro wrestling in the Amarillo area. And he had just opened Yellow City Lucha Libre, which planned on running weekly events at their newly secured venue. King only competed once in Oklahoma as far as our documents show. On October 27, 2023, he defeated Lunchador for the MajCW 24/7 On Call Native American Title. He then lost it minutes later to Brandon Warhawk. Social media posts have been flooding forward since King's passing as he was someone that so many people knew, interacted with or worked for in the Kansas/Oklahoma/Texas areas. His passing leaves a hole that will be hard to fill in Amarillo as well as in the hearts of those who knew him.
