NEWS
Rikishi’s wrestling company KnokX Pro Wrestling was stripped of their WWE ID affiliation almost immediately following the Raja Jackson-Syko Stu incident on August 23rd. The incident occurred when Jackson rushed into the ring, took down Stu, and proceeded to legitimately punch him about 20 times in the face. Stu was unconscious by the first or second punch, but Jackson continued punching Stu until a fellow wrestler named The Epic pulled Raja off of the unconscious Stu. Epic very well may have saved the life of Stu who suffered facial injuries and loss of several teeth. All this was preceded by a backstage incident between Jackson and Stu. It was reported that Rikishi and his team instructed the wrestlers not to cooperate with police on this matter. It has also been rumored that Rikishi is now banned from WWE events.

Ricky Saints is getting a crack at the NXT Championship at the upcoming “No Mercy” premium live event. Saints defeated Josh Briggs in a #1 contenders match on “NXT” on CW this past week and then had a back-and-forth with champion Oba Femi in the ring. That was interrupted by DarkState (Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin, & Dion Lennox), who took down both Femi and Saints until Hank & Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) came out for the save. This is the first shot at the NXT Title for Saints. He has already won the NXT North American Title shortly after he jumped from AEW.

WWE is discussing pairing Ethan Page and Chelsea Green together on “SmackDown”. It was noted that the duo has impressed many within the company during their run in NXT, showcasing strong chemistry, and standout performances together and there is now a lot of interest in having a Canadian group on “SmackDown”. This comes after reports that WWE was looking to move Page to the main roster very soon.

Recent WWE Vault additions include a dark match featuring Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart vs. Sycho Sid from February 3, 1997 and Shawn Michaels vs. The British Bulldog from “WWF One Night Only” in 1997.

Shawn Michaels posted behind-the-scenes footage from NXT Heatwave on X, which you can watch by clicking here.

Vince McMahon turned 80 last Sunday and had a birthday party on August 23rd at Gotham Hall in New York City. Among those in attendance were Shane McMahon, Jerry Lawler, Gerald Brisco, Sgt. Slaughter, The Undertaker & Michelle McCool, The Miz & Maryse, Titus O’Neil, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Kane, John Cena, and Ron Killings.

Jerry “The King” Lawler posted a photo from Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday party that showed Lawler with The Miz, Maryse, Titus O’Neil, Sheamus, and Drew McIntyre. Lawler later took down the photo and post, but not before someone took a screenshot and shared it. Click here to see the screenshot that was shared on X.

TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater recently joined PWMania.com for an exclusive interview amid a major milestone in his career. At “Slammiversary”, Slater made
history by becoming the youngest TNA X-Division Champion of all time. During the conversation with PWMania.com’s Scott Mitchell, Slater addressed A. J. Styles’ praise, and a true “passing of the torch.” “In the early days of TNA, he put it on his back. I feel like if you ask anyone what their TNA Mount Rushmore is, the first name on there is A. J. Styles, without a doubt. To have ‘Mr. TNA’ pretty much come out there and sing my praises and give me the salute and almost have that passing of the torch moment, even though I don’t think we’re quite there with the passing of the torch moment. I feel like there’s only one way to pass a torch in wrestling that hasn’t happened yet between A. J. and me. It’s a huge moment for me, and I’m super grateful. It means the world that not only ‘Mr. TNA’, but the first X-Division Champion came out to sing my praises at UBS when I became the youngest X-Division Champion of all time.”

Jim Ross has revealed on the latest episode of his “Grilling JR” podcast that he signed a new, one-year deal with AEW which will run until August 2026. “I’m happy with my deal. I’m happy to go back to working with Tony (Khan),” J. R. said. “Tony and I spent a lot of time together in London and talking about my deal and what his plans were for me.” Ross noted that there are fewer dates on his contract, which is fine for him, but he will still be figured in strongly. “And to go do the pay-per-views is quite the opportunity. And the fact that I’m able to recharge my batteries and not just drive myself to a nub…it’s all good stuff, man!” Ross has been with the company since 2019.

During a recent interview on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet”, Jake Hager reveals that he wanted a Groot-esque character in AEW. "I feel like the hat could have been way bigger. I pitched an idea and I think this is great, like I wanted to turn into Groot from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ where I would say, ‘I like this hat’ and everybody in JAS (Jericho Appreciation Society) would know what I’m saying. I’m not saying, ‘I like this hat.’ I’m not saying, ‘I am Groot.’ They would have just like played off of it." Jake Hager further details issues with Tony Khan, recalls an incident during a talent meeting: “After all the (C. M.) Punk sh*t that went down, the boys got together and we had a meeting. This was the boys only, no office. Sting’s in there, Show (Paul Wight), (Chris) Jericho, Bryan (Danielson), Mox (Jon Moxley), they’re all standing at the front talking us through this sh*t. And lo and behold, who comes in the room storming in? Daddy’s little billionaire. And he’s yelling at us because—I think it was Dax (Harwood) and Cash (Wheeler)—didn’t want to come in. They didn’t like the storyline so they refused to come to TV that day. And he was like, ‘Listen, I’ll put you in a six-man, six minutes before the show, and you’re gonna do it!’ And we’re all just—all feeling disrespected. I still to this day wish I would’ve stood up and said a lot of things. You just told Sting that you’re gonna put him in a six-man in six minutes, and then you’re gonna honor him for his retirement? We became his little playthings. We had to wait outside his office. His storylines were very good at debuting, but he could never carry anything through. It got to the point where you couldn’t tell him anything. He couldn’t take criticism, he was f*cking up, and we were all just having to dealing with it. We all had blood, sweat, and tears put into that company. We were all there at the beginning. We all had our careers behind us that helped build that company. And then we all had to just sit side-by-side and couldn’t do anything because he wanted to run it the way he wanted to run it.”

John Powell of SLAM! Wrestling wrote a story entitled “Jake Hager buries Tony Khan: “Can’t make a sandwich, let alone a storyline””, which you can read by clicking here.

Floyd Maystorm suffered a shoulder injury at the TexPro event in Seminole on Saturday. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
