Chavo Guerrero, Jr. has reportedly signed a contract to return to WWE. This comes on the heels of his aunt Vickie Guerrero being signed as well. There have been no reports if they will be paired together or not, but the two have not seen eye to eye in recent years regarding real life family issues.
A. J. Styles has signed a 1 year contract extension with WWE and plans to retire when the contract expires in 2026.
As seen during the 2025 “WWE Night of Champions” premium live event, Sami Zayn defeated Karrion Kross in Kross’ first PLE match since “WrestleMania 40” in April 2024. After the event, Kross issued a public statement about his appearance via X: “Didn’t ask for shortcuts. Didn’t ask for favors. We just showed up—every time—staying ready even when no one was watching. Saudi Arabia, you saw it. You felt it. And that means more than you know. To the rest of the world watching, With your never ending support; Thank you for reminding us who this is really for.” Scarlett also commented on the match: “I’ve watched Kross give everything. For years. For this. Saudi Arabia, you saw him. You felt him. You respected him. And as someone who knows what he’s worth THANK YOU. I’ve never been more proud.”
“Foundation Radio” has an interview with Karrion Kross, which you can watch by clicking here.
In March of 2025, it was reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com that Karrion Kross is officially in a contract year. While no exact expiration date has been confirmed, it’s believed that Kross’ current deal will wrap up sometime during the summer. Kross reportedly signed a three-year contract when he returned to WWE in the summer of 2022. In an update on Kross and Scarlett, Fightful.com noted that their WWE contracts are up next month unless terms were already reached for an extension. While there has been no confirmation of Kross and Scarlett signing new deals, those spoken to in WWE expect the duo to stay with the company. Kross continues to be featured on television and having new merchandise has led to the belief that he won’t be leaving WWE. Kross’ “Good Soldier” t-shirt is currently ranked as the “Most Popular” t-shirt on WWE’s merchandise website.
Interviewed on “The Masked Man Show”, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther described Goldberg as “one of the most outstanding guys in the history of this business”. The two will go head-to-head for the title on the July 12th episode of “Saturday Night’s Main Event” which will also be Goldberg’s final match. Gunther admitted that he would have never expected to be in this position as Goldberg’s final opponent. “How I got up in wrestling, how I got brought up, I feel like Goldberg is the complete opposite of how I would have imagined a wrestler that I really look up to,” the Austrian said. “That’s the thing with Goldberg is like, like I said before, you can say whatever you want about him, but he’s one of the most outstanding guys in the history of this business. And seeing a lot of the guys that he had before, it’s a great opportunity for me to step into that position to be his last opponent because with all the respect, that’s what it is,” Gunther continued. Gunther said that he will gain from being in the ring with Goldberg because at the end of the day, when Goldberg shows up, there’s a lot of interest.
While speaking on his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T addressed criticism of Bill Goldberg’s upcoming retirement match against Gunther at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on July 12th in Atlanta, GA. Booker said “I want to reach out to all the the guys of that era of Goldberg, okay, and the guys of that era that are complaining about Goldberg. Why does Goldberg get the shot? Why is he in this match?… The reason why he’s doing it, because it’s the same thing your ass would have did if WWE called you to be in a final match with Gunther in a prime time spot. That’s why. So anybody out there complaining can just shut the hell up. Seriously. Because I know if they would have called me, I would have did it. And I know just about anybody that’s in that position, that’s that’s able to actually walk to that ring, they would have did it too. To the young guys who may have a problem with it, you better hope and wish and pray that you’re of the caliber of a Goldberg one day toward a company feel that you have that much to bring to the table still at that age, to bring you back to give to the fans one more time. You better hope and pray that you’re in that position just one day. And trust me, guys, time flies.”
John Cena recently named “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s entrance as the greatest WWE entrance ever, and listed Roddy Piper, The Rock, Austin, and C. M. Punk as the best trash talkers.
WWE Vault put together a compilation video of rare house show matches from the 1990s New Generation era: “Buckle in for a compilation of never-before-seen Live Event matches featuring your favorite New Generation Superstars, including a huge tag team from Madison Square Garden, pitting Shawn Michaels and Diesel against Bret ‘Hit Man’ Hart and The Undertaker. Plus, action featuring ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Mankind, Razor Ramon and more!”
Abyss, who is currently working for WWE as a producer, addressed rumors that he came close to signing with WWE as a wrestler in an interview with Fightful.com: “I’ll tell you flat out, it was true. There were opportunities presented, I think in 2005 and 2007. There might have been another time. It was extremely humbling and extremely exciting. I was just in a place where I was with TNA since the very beginning, and I felt like I was one of the cornerstones that helped build it along with A. J. [Styles], Jeff [Jarrett], Samoa Joe, Sting, and Christopher Daniels. The opportunity was there. I just, at that time, I felt loyal to TNA, being there from the beginning. That was something that I couldn’t walk away from.”
TNA has compiled the “complete history” of Abyss on their YouTube channel, which you can watch by clicking here.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE star Mickie James talked about her time with the company and brought up an angle involving a walker from a 2017 episode of “WWE Monday Night RAW”: “I remember when I first came on, it was when you are 35, women are done in this business and women had much shorter careers. Maybe it has something to do with the fact I have been relevant on TV for the last 15 years in some capacity. I am all about building the future, but you can’t s**t on your former champions and the history that was made. Maybe it’s because I am a wrestler and I look at wrestling from a wrestler and a wrestling fan’s perspective. I am up on what is relevant today, in 2025. (Jennifer Lopez) is one of the sexiest women and she is 50-something, Jennifer Anniston is the same. We don’t look at age like that anymore, but wrestling, as it always has been, has been late to the party. I could never wrap my head around and find it funny that I’m given a walker [on “RAW” in 2017]. It’s bulls**t and it’s not funny. I was offended and I said that I was offended. But I am a professional, and as a pro you go, ‘Fine and let’s see what happens’. Nine times out of 10 I was right, but it’s already happened. I had to do it just to prove a point. I feel like you should trust me enough, at this point, to know I am not an idiot. I am looking at it through the lens of our audience and where they’re at now.” To see the “RAW” angle Mickie was referring to, click {url=https://youtu.be/xbJI9HWOXRE]here[/url].
While being interviewed by Denise Salcedo, Sammy Guevara spoke about how happy he is to have his wife Tay Melo back on the road after her post-pregnancy return. He said “Man, it’s so cool. Because, I mean, for the longest time it was her and I, and we were just this package deal, as we always said – package deal. And then all of a sudden, it was just me on the road for a long time. Because even when she was pregnant, she was still traveling. She traveled all the way up until like August and she gave birth in November. So, yeah, I mean, she literally quit the [Jericho Appreciation Society] with like a big old belly. It was awesome. But then after she left, then it was just me. And it was a little weird at first. Now it’s cool because it’s like I got my partner in crime back. But now it’s different too because it’s like I’m still missing our other partner in crime, which is our little daughter Luna. Any time all of us go, it’s tougher, it’s harder, but it’s like I feel like – okay, peace, we’re all here. We’re not bringing her every week because I feel like that’s a little unfair for Luna, even though she probably would love to go. In my opinion, I want to bring her all the time. I don’t want to be away from her. But we’re like, only if we’re going to be gone multiple days we’ll bring her.” To watch the interview, click here.
Mick Foley did an interview with WANE 15 News and here are the highlights: The state of wrestling in 2025: “Yeah, well, I think we’re in a really strong position. WWE on a global basis has never been more successful. I think AEW realizes they don’t have to topple WWE to be really successful and really enjoyable, and there’s other wrestling out there for people who like all kinds of styles. I mean, just like in the city of Chicago, for example, you can find three or four different types of wrestling on a single night and all of it’s good, depending on what your tastes are.” Thoughts on Game Changer Wrestling: “Well those guys [chuckles], they definitely put in on the line. I am not here to advocate for it, but I am here to say, I admire people you know, who put it all out there.”

Oklafan extends condolences to Bishop Simon on the passing of his cousin Scott on June 30th.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Corttni Deaton, who worked under the names Korttni Sanchez and Korttni Sadat. She passed away July 2, 2025 from colon cancer at the age of 31. Korrtni's career was not long and was almost exclusively confined to SWCW. She debuted, billed as the sister to Kevin James Sanchez, on December 15, 2012, alongside Kevin and Kareem Sadat, who were known as The Brothers of Hardcore. As a result, she was nicknamed the "Sister of Hardcore". Much of her early time saw her at ringside as The Brothers of Hardcore faced off against Stevie Caballero's faction of The Franchise Players, both in singles and tag team competition. On January 26, 2013, Korttni stepped into the ring for one and only documented match; an intergender tag team match where she teamed with Kareem Sadat in a losing effort against The Sharpe Brothers (Chaz Sharpe & Richard Sharpe). She also was able to see Kareem Sadat win 4 of his 27 SWCW Hardcore titles and witnessed Kevin James Sanchez win the SWCW Title from Rick Russo in an Oklahoma Street Fight where the Superkick was banned. In addition to being a foil against Stevie Caballero (and being present for the match where Caballero was forced to leave SWCW), Korttni also faced off at ringside against Misty Lynn and L. J. McDaniels. Outside of SWCW, she made one appearance in XUW, where she countered Brandon Barricade, who was managing Rick Russo. After being at ringside for approximately 1 year, Korttni left pro wrestling as an active competitor, though she would go on to marry Kareem Sadat. Her final appearance happened at a BCW event on May 7, 2016 when she stood as Korttni Sadat in the corner of Kareem Sadat and Rick Russo, then tagging together as BMF. They were victorious over The Rednecks (Big Ern & Cousin Yogi). While the spotlight of wrestling was not necessarily her calling, family was. She and Kareem Sadat had 3 children and Korrtni loved being a mother to them, especially trying to provide stability for them after Sadat's death in 2024. In total, Korttni participated in 32 documented matches in Oklahoma.
