NEWS
According to the BOK Center website, the “AEW Dynamite” and “AEW Rampage” events on March 21st sold approximately 2500 tickets, priced between $24 & $94.

The “AEW Rampage” that aired on February 23rd and taped in Tulsa, OK on February 21st, returned to its usual 10pm Eastern time slot and drew 364,000 viewers, up 64,000 viewers from the prior week. The show did a 0.11 rating in 18-49, up 0.02 from the previous show and was #18 in the top 50 cable chart for the night.

On his “1 of a Kind” podcast, Rob Van Dam discussed the trios tag match he took part in on last week’s “AEW Dynamite” in Tulsa, OK. RVD said he’s been made to feel appreciated and welcomed in AEW. He said “It was good. All those guys are good. It was a little bit chaotic. Yeah, I was in the ring with [Samoa] Joe, but it might have been a couple moves here and there where it could have been a save or whatever. There was just so much going on. It’s not the same as actually being in there and wrestling around with somebody in the ring a little bit, although that does happen and it’s part of the match. People pair off and do that stuff. I don’t know. I guess I feel like I was in there for a long time actually in that match. I was in there and people were taking turns whipping on me and stuff for a while. I know that, but it was cool. Everyone’s good. A lot of the guys really went out of their way to make me feel appreciated and welcomed. They were like, ‘Hey, some of us might be a little apprehensive about coming up and telling you this, but we’re all so excited that you’re here and so stoked. Man, it’s so cool.’ There were a few particular guys who said that and I’ll always remember that because that stands out. It definitely puts me in a different perspective than in WWE where I felt replaceable and expendable. I might be there next week, I might not. I never knew. I never knew if I was really being appreciated there or not because there was so much balance of different energies conflicting.”

The Sting & Darby Allin vs. The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) Tornado Tag Team Match at AEW’s “Revolution” pay-per-view will be the main event of the show, marking the first time that a tag team match will be headlining an AEW pay-per-view. What's more important though, is that this is Sting's last ever wrestling match and the Hall of Famer will get the send off he deserves in the main event. Over 16,000 fans will jam pack the Greensboro Coliseum tomorrow to witness Sting's last match as he brings down the curtain on a four-decade career which started in 1985 with the Continental Wrestling Association. Sting & Allin are still undefeated as a tag team in AEW and they are the reigning AEW World Tag Team champions. It creates an interesting scenario to see if he retires undefeated in AEW or else if he follows the long-standing tradition of "doing the job" on the way out.

Sting's son Steven wrote a touching tribute to his father in a post on Instagram ahead of his final match at “Revolution”. Steven said that his father was Sting before he was born and doesn't know a life where the possibility of him rappelling from the rafters, diving off high objects, and Scorpion Death Dropping people doesn't exist. "But now that day has nearly come, and I've never had more respect and admiration for you than I do today," Steven wrote. "There's too many things I could say - I don't know how to encapsulate it all." He wrote that for now, he'll just say, "You did it, Dad," and for nearly four decades, he found a way to lay it all on the line while staying electric the whole way. "You did that while also teaching me what it means to be a man of character, integrity, and grit. More importantly, you showed me - and you're showing me now," he continued. He said that he and his siblings have to thank him for more good than he'll ever know. "I know you remember what my answer was that day as a kid in Central Park when I was asked who my hero was. The answer is still the same. I'm still convinced you're the coolest dude to walk the planet. Now it's time for one last ride. I'm not ready for it to be over, but I'm ready for you to enjoy the sunset. Until then, I can't wait to watch you go do Sting things one last time. I love you Dad," he wrote, concluding with, "Icon Forever." Replying to the post, Sting wrote, "Steven James Borden - you’ve always had a way with words. Teary eyed…"

The Players' Tribune collected voicemails from Sting's family and members of the AEW locker room sharing their memories of Sting. Video of Sting listening to the voicemails can be watched by clicking here. A link to the voicemails can be found here.

Lex Luger was asked if he’ll be in attendance at “AEW Revolution” for Sting’s last match. He said “Let me put it this way...I will go back to 35 years of friendship. We talked about the guys [The Kliq] getting together at the Garden. Friendships sometimes transcend the kayfabe or work up the other, and there may be ramifications or may not. Sting was there for me at 3 in the morning when I had my motorcycle wreck and they wanted to cut my arm off. He kind of stopped the doctors from cutting my arm off. So people can read into that what they want, on whether I might be at the building or not. I won't confirm anything, but I'm just saying. I'll leave it in that context. How's that?”

Coming off the “Elimination Chamber” premium live event, those at WWE have confirmed both bouts, A. J. Styles vs. L. A. Knight, and Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton, that Saturday's show appeared to set up, are right now listed for “WrestleMania”.

“WWE Superstar Sunday” returned on A&E starting Sunday with back-to-back episodes of “WWE Rivals” at 8pm Eastern (7pm Central) and “Biography: WWE Legends” at 9pm Eastern (8pm Central). Hosted by actor and former WWE writer Freddie Prinze, Jr., “Rivals” kicked off with Triple H vs. The Rock. The season continues with other iconic rivalries including Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage, The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels, John Cena vs. Randy Orton, The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley) vs. Edge & Christian, and The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan. “Biography: WWE Legends” started with “The Viper” Randy Orton with other WWE Legends featured this season including Sgt. Slaughter, Scott Hall, Diamond Dallas Page, “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, and Roman Reigns. Both series will be available On Demand and to stream on the A&E app and at [http://www.aetv.com]AETV.com[/url].

Several WWE Superstars who were not part of the WWE 2K24 roster will be added via DLCs which will be released throughout the year. All DLCs come free as part of the season pass for those who own the Deluxe or 40 Years of WrestleMania editions of the game.

Reacting to the passing of Ole Anderson, fellow Four Horsemen founding member "Nature Boy" Ric Flair said that he will always be forever thankful to Ole and Gene for bringing him to Crockett Promotions. "I will be grateful forever for you giving me the opportunity to become who I am today," Flair wrote. "We didn’t always agree with each other, but the honest to God truth is you & Gene started me. Rest in peace my friend!" Anderson is the fourth member of the group to pass away following Brian Pillman, Curt Hennig, and Chris Benoit.

The wrestling community suffered its second death in the span of a few days as after the announcement of the passing of Ole Anderson, news came out that Virgil passed away as well. Jake “The Snake” Roberts said “Shocked and saddened to hear the news about Virgil. Rest in peace, my friend.” “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan said “RIP Virgil. A good man and a performer who really left his mark on wrestling.” Mike McGuirk said “Sad news of a friend who has left us and onto soaring high with our wrestling angels who will be there welcoming you. Fly high Virgil”. The Honky Tonk Man said “Condolences go out to the family of Virgil. Such a great guy. A real gentleman. Will miss you my friend!”
