Amari Miller is moving on to her next chapter. Miller, real name Camron Clay, posted the following message on her Instagram Stories, confirming she is leaving WWE. She notes that both sides decided not to renew her contract. “So today, WWE and I have parted ways, neither one of us decided to resign (sic) another contract so my 3 years are up. I am beyond grateful of what they have given me and taught me but my journey there has come to an end, when a door closes one door opens,” Miller wrote. “Will I keep wrestling who knows, will I lace up my boots again in the future possibly. I got to experiance (sic) a lifestyle that most ppl dream of and I will NEVER take it back!! On to the next chapter of my life,” she added. “Thank you Coaches, WWE and the fans who actually supported me and not the fans who were bullsh*tters wishing me bad during my career lol. Much love! CAMRON CLAY FKA AMARI MILLER” Miller made her WWE debut (as Camron Connors) in a squash match against Lacey Evans on the October 25, 2019 episode of “WWE Friday Night SmackDown”. She later signed with WWE and debuted on NXT on June 8, 2021 as Amari Miller.

NTV in Japan ran a special show Friday from Korakuen Hall as the 70th anniversary of pro wrestling on the network. The network ran pro wrestling from 1954 to 2009, the longest run of any television station in the world, starting with JWA, then All Japan Pro Wrestling, and finally Pro Wrestling NOAH before they cut wrestling due to economic issues and cost cutting. They had live matches including a great Kaito Kiyomiya vs. Yuma Anzai main event won by Kiyomiya. There were a lot of great video packages on the greatest tag team to appear on the network like The Sharpe Brothers (Ben Sharpe & Mike Sharpe, Sr.), Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen, The Funks (Terry Funk & Dory Funk, Jr.), The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal), The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid), Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi, and more. They also had one on legendary moves, as well as a Terry Funk tribute with Atsushi Onita and Masa Fuchi talking about Funk. Funk was Onita's mentor. Another package was on the most legendary feuds like Giant Baba vs. Abdullah the Butcher, Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Genichiro Tenryu, Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Toshiaki Kawada, Misawa vs. Kenta Kobashi, and KENTA vs. Naomichi Marufuji. They also showed some of the most famous title wins for Rikidozan, Baba (beating Jack Brisco for the NWA World Title), Tsuruta vs. Hansen, Tenryu vs. Tsuruta, Misawa vs. Hansen, and more.

The late Ashley Massaro, a former WWE Diva, has been pushed back into the news following the Vince McMahon lawsuit, with VICE News publishing a previously unreleased statement that Massaro gave to her lawyers in 2017. In the statement, released by VICE on Friday, Massaro said that the former WWE Chairman preyed on her and other female stars and tried his best to get her alone in his hotel room at night. When she rejected his advances, McMahon punished her by writing her promos in a way to ruin her career and also made vulgar sexual comments each time she walked by him. "On one of these occasions, Vince was attempting to get me alone with him in his hotel room late at night and I felt extraordinarily uncomfortable," Massaro wrote in her statement. "He began calling the hotel room phone and my cell phone nonstop. I called Kevin Dunn to explain the situation and he said I should tell Vince I was not feeling well and would see him on TV the next day, so I did." Massaro stated that after that night, Vince started writing her promos with the clear intention of ruining her career. "I brought the first script Vince wrote for me to the WWE employee in charge of Creative at the time, Michael Hayes, and he said, ‘you’re not saying this, who the [expletive] wrote this?’ and I told him that Vince did," Massaro wrote. "He said, ‘Well kid, these are the breaks,’ meaning that Vince wanted to end my career and destroy my reputation on my way out." Massaro also named another former WWE Diva that had to go through the same thing she did with McMahon but VICE redacted the name. Massaro passed away in 2019 after committing suicide. She was just 39 years old.
Billy Jack Haynes has been arrested following a tragic incident involving the shooting of his wife. The world of professional wrestling harbors harsh realities unbeknownst to many, and sadly, these truths can persist even after leaving the ring. Recently, former professional wrestler Billy Jack Haynes found himself in a tragic situation, as reports from KOIN reveal his arrest following the shooting of his wife. In the Lents neighborhood of Portland, OR police responded to a fatal shooting at 6000 SE 100th Avenue, prompting a shelter-in-place order for residents. Upon arrival, officers encountered a non-cooperative individual potentially armed inside the premises. After negotiation, a tactical team convinced the man to surrender, leading to his apprehension. Tragically, a woman was found deceased within the home, sparking a police investigation. Neighbors also speculated that the couple involved in the incident may include a former wrestler. Neighbor Steve Odry said “He was telling me all kinds of stories about old wrestling and I told him how I used to go watch him. I decided to go for a walk when I saw all the cops down by my house. And I just then noticed all the blocks taped off and I just came down here.” The community reels from the shock of the event, with neighbors recounting interactions with the individual in question, reminiscing about his wrestling career. The investigation prompted authorities to advise residents in the vicinity to remain indoors as a precaution. While the identities of those involved remain undisclosed in the initial report, Jim Valley of The Wrestling Observer has revealed that the identity of the man is none other than former WWE Superstar Billy Jack Hayes.

"Need your prayers." This follows another cancer surgery on his right hip just four days ago and said that all went well. J. R. has been battling skin cancer for a few years now and was sidelined for a couple of months after a leg wound couldn't heal properly unless he stopped traveling. Oklafan extends condolences to Umbra on the passing of his mother on February 10th.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Toby Keith, who passed away due to stomach cancer on February 5, 2024. He was 62 years old. Keith, whose full name was Toby Keith Covel, was born in Clinton, OK and after living in Ft. Smith, AR for a few years, moved to Moore, OK where he would eventually graduate from high school. Keith's primary claim to fame is as a country musician, though he did have an athletic background. He played defensive end at Moore High School and played semi-pro football with the Oklahoma City Drillers. But music took priority and he would go on to record 19 studio albums and chart 61 singles, 20 of which would go to #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Keith was also a professional wrestling fan and on June 19, 2002, he got to enter the wrestling ring and compete in his one and only match. Earlier that night, he had been performing "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" when Jeff Jarrett interrupted him to go to the ring and cut a promo. That night would be the "Gauntlet for the Gold" to fill the vacant NWA World Title on the first NWA-TNA pay-per-view event. During that, Keith made his way down and officially entered that gauntlet Battle Royal, suplexing Jarrett as revenge for the interruption earlier. Then he teamed with Scott Hall to eliminate Jarrett from the match. The following week, he accompanied Hall at ringside and helped him defeat Jarrett in a singles match. Keith would also appear on “WWE Monday Night RAW” on October 25, 2010, where he gave The Bella Twins (Brie Bella & Nikki Bella) a copy of his most recent album and in return, they gave him his own Electravision Championship Title. Later that night, he was serenaded by Santino Marella before Marella was interrupted by Sheamus, who would challenge him for a match. Keith, along with The Bella Twins, would cause a distraction to Sheamus by walking out during that match to watch, but ultimately Sheamus would lose due to interference from John Morrison. Rumor has it that in 2013, Keith and Jarrett attempted to put together a plan to purchase TNA Wrestling from Anthem Entertainment, but that partnership never materialized. Jim Ross reported that Keith, whom he labeled "my good friend" was very interested in being involved and had been talking to Ross about getting him involved in the project as well, but that never happened because Keith "had to have full control with no restrictions regarding creative, etc and that was not on the table.” No further association with professional wrestling happened with Toby Keith after that. Sadly, Keith never got to appear on a wrestling card in his home state.
WWE posted a tribute to country music star Toby Keith following his passing: “WWE is saddened to learn that country music star and former Raw guest host Toby Keith has passed away. WWE extends its condolences to Keith’s family, friends, and fans.”
