EPW Nuclear Warfare IV Review

Empire Pro Wrestling returned to action on January 20th at the Southern Oaks Recreation Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The jam packed crowd seen a night filled with amazing action and unexpected twists.

The opening contest was for the Empire Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championship. Last month BMF which is the team of Vic Russo and Kevin Sanchez beat the Psychotic Messengers in an unexpected victory. Shortly after that match Commissioner Christopher Samuel Dean signed a contract that allowed The Saints of Pro Wrestling to choose the ref and a special time keeper. Well Shawn and Scott chose fellow Saints Duncan Kincade and Bud Barnes to fill those roles.

Before the match could start Montego Seeka the current EPW champion and the rest of Gold Blooded Killaz, the Guy Sterling led faction. jumped the tag team champions. This would give Scott and Shawn Sanders an advantage for the entirety of the match. Once the bell rung Scott would quickly start working on the arm of Rick Russo. Scott would throw Rick into the corner of the Saints prompting some illegal double teaming. Shawn would eventually become the legal man and remove Rick from his corner. Rick was put in other corner so Shawn could attempt a splash. Rick Russo was able to move. Rick tried to do a roll up on Shawn but Shawn would hold on to the ropes then get assistance from Special Guest Referee Duncan Kincade to prevent the pin. Shawn would then tag his brother in. Scott took control and started to work the arm once again of Rick. RIck Russo would eventually get some offense in by chopping Scott with the wounded arm. Scott would draw Duncan's attention elsewhere allowing for Shawn to get some more illegal activities in. The Sanders Brother continue to beat Rick down. Rick Russo would occasionally look like he is making a comeback but it would quickly get shut down. Rick Russo would eventually be able to tag his partner in. Kevin came in hot and delivered som Duty Rhodes style punches. Duncan would tell Kevin to open his fist. Scott would clothesline Kevin knocking him down for a quick three count. This match was stacked against BMF from the beginning and the change of titles is just proof of that.

After the match with yours truly, Johnny Aman hosting the interview Kevin would declare himself as one of the mystery participants in the Nuclear Warfare Match later that night. Kevin holds Montego Seeka personally responsible for the loss. Kevin is pissed and wants some revenge.

After Red James seemingly vanished from EPW after September of 2023, Christopher Samuel Dean had no choice but to strip Red of the Internet TV Championship giving fans not only a fatal four way for the match but also a new 10 min time limit on all Internet TV Championship matches. Malachi was accompanied by Lucien Loveless who was carrying Malachi's sure shot briefcase. Once the bell rung, Bud Barnes and Martin Justice started throwing fists while Malachi and Rhett took to battling each other. With the new ten minute time limit a pin was attempted quickly by Bud Barnes on Martin. Rhett hearing the count would then switch his focus to Bud Barnes. Rhett would throw Bud onto the bottom rope to deliver his bronco busters. Malchi having not recovered yet also got a series of bronco busters. I think he got a full 16 seconds in there and Rodeo stars only have to go 8 second. Although Bud may be an man of a certain age he recovered quickly from the bronco busters to get revenge on Rhett securing time for Malachi to recover. Once Malachi was recovered he would knock Bud Barnes out of the ring and deliver a Shining Wizard to Rhett. Malachi would follow the Shining Wizard up with a Flatliner to secure the win. Your winner and NEW EPW Internet TV Champion the Savior of Suffering Malchi.

The third match of the night is what is promised to be the last match between Father Padge and Jason Simon. The conditions for this No DQ match are as follows. If Jason should somehow win after seven straight losses Padge is gone from EPW. If Padge wins Simon becomes his disciple. Jason Simon would try to pull out all the stops in this match. Some of the high impact moves that Simon hit were a code red and a Sabu Moonsault onto Father Padge on the outside. Padge would even kick out of three curb stomps delivered from Simon. However, it was all in vain after a Black Mass, Simon would lose the match. Father Padge would carry an unconscious Jason back to the Vatican.

Triple threat of Daniel Aaron Michalles, DAM, against Gallardo and Vega for Vega's All American Championship. Gallardo tells DAM that he would take care of this ties up with Vega. Vega throw him down. DAM would then try his luck by repeating what Gallardo did. tied up. Dam gets Vega in an arm bar. Gallardo chops DAM. DAM screams like a little girl. DAM chops like a little girl also. Gallardo is thrown out out by DAM. DAM's faction known as Black flag attacks. BTE trigger on Gallardo. Trench starts choking Gallardo. In order to regain control the Ref throws Black Flag out. Gallardo is helped to the back as he is injured and unable to continue. Vega gets DAM in a cloverleaf. DAM escapes. Vega chokes DAM. Vega suplex’s DAM for a two count. Camel clutch on DAM. Vega transitions into a STF but DAM escapes. DAM would line Vegas up in the corner high knee followed by a bulldog. DAM whips Vegas into the ropes for a clothes line. Neck breaker on Vega for a two count. DAM clothes lines and tried to repeat. Vega Northern Lights Suplex for the win.

The next contest is one on one; Tyler Watts against Ozzy Hendrix. Tie up and Tyler took control. Watts would maneuver Ozzy into the corner and shove his shoulder into Ozzy. Ozzy escapes a splash. Ozzy then kicks Tyler. After the corner Tyler would choke Ozzy on the rope. Referee Martin check on Ozzy but Tyler pushes him off. Tyler is digging into Izzy’s eyes. Martin pulls his son off Ozzy. Double ax handle to a down Ozzy. Tyler has vicious steak in him tonight worse than a rooster who can't get to a hen. Tyler Watts would throw Ozzy into the ropes. Looking like a spider monkey on crack Ozzy spins off the ropes then double leg down to take Tyler down. Ozzy cinches in a for a scorpion deathlock. Tyler grabs the ropes. Ozzy leg drop to Tyler. Low blow by Tyler as the ref was looking. Tyler rakes the eyes of Ozzy with his knee pad. Martin having enough of the blatant cheating calls the match and starts to brawl with Tyler. The last attention paid to Ozzy it to throw him out of the ring so that Tyler can focus on beating down his own father. Ebone, who was banned from EPW and Nashoba attack Martin. Jr Wind also comes out. From what can be gathered is Jr. WInd is the authority figure for CAPW. CAPW was alluded to in December as a new wrestling promotion set to take down EPW. Adrian Vega and a recovered Ozzy Hendrix stop the beat down on Martin. JR Wind sets up a tag match for next month for the CAPW Tag Team Championship. Bone Nashoba and Tyler are all CAPW in this war between the two promotions.

Seeka against Tommy 2Good. For the heavyweight title. Tie up seek goes behind and delivers a mat return. Arm bar by 2Good after another tie up. Seeka tried to roll thru hit Tommy kept ahold. Tommy is really working the arm. Seeka with a scoop slam. Tommy back to the wrist lock. Seeks escapes and slaps Tommy. Tommy drop kicks a rebounding Montego Seeka. Hip tops by Tommy. Seeka goes to the corner to recover. Tommy poses for the fans. Tommy 2Good chops Montego Seeka. Tommy is laying in Chops if this was in normal match Seeka should be worried but as champ with the rest of GBK out there Teego has not reason to worry. Tego is able to stop the chops and chokes 2Good on the ropes. When the Ref Erwin IV gets him off Sterling starts to choke 2 good. Back breaker from Seeka. Seeks with a forearm to the head. Seeks puts 2Good face first it to the corner then leans on him. Mitch onyx gets up to distract Tommy. Works momentarily but Tommy goes back to the attack. Mitch trips 2good. Seeka gets up and starts a series of elbow strikes to the center mass of 2Good. Erwin tries to assert his authority over the match. Montego seeka delivers a massive clothes line. Romeo Reece jumps up and starts to choke Tommy. Ref admonishes him but Seeka friendly fire knocks him down. 2Good makes a comeback with an atomic drop. Powerslam on to Seeka for a 2 count. 2Good goes to the middle rope. Seeks with a straight right punch to 2Good. Guy Sterling is talking smack to 2Goods face. Seeka clothesline from behind for a two count. Seeka grabs him again. Tried for a pump handle but Tommy fought out. Neck breaker reverse by Tommy 2Good. Two count. 2Good picks seems up for a torture rack but Romeo pulls Seeka down as Guy has the referee distracted. Seeka pump handle into a spinning Death valley driver for the win

Nuclear warfare which is essentially Elimination chamber with no cage. First out Mitch Onyx. A late addition to the match the last man announce even. Second out. Badger James. The match starts and Onyx exits. Killing time until the next participant. Badger just sits down in the ring like Malachi Black. Onyx is dancing in the crowd. Third participant is Jack Talos. Jack calls for Mitch to enter the ring as Mitch has joined commentary. Badger attacked Jack from behind. Why attack a 7 foot tall Giant from behind? Talos takes over easily. Bad strategy by badger. Mitch then takes and attack of opportunity. Hit and run. Jack side slam to Badger propelling the ref up. Romeo Reece comes out as the fourth participant. They all attack Jack Talos. Springboard dropkick by Mitch knocks Jack out of the ring. The two GBK members Onyx and Reece attack Badger James. Jack stays outside getting advice from Lucien. Badger starts to turn the tide. Martin takes a bump which allows the GBK to take back over. Jack chases Guy around the ring. Reece and Jack have a stare down. A 7ft man staring off with a 5ft 5 inch or so guy. Kevin Sanchez then comes out. Kevin is quickly beat down by the GBK. Something seems to be brewing between Kevin and all of Gold Blooded Killaz. As Jack choked Badger on the bottom rope. Mitch jumps up on the middle rope to punch Jack. Jack knocks him down. Reece tried the same thing and got the same result. Entry number 6 is Gemini. Gemini comes in hot. Clearing the ring. Badger gets thrown over the top and hits hard. Jack delivers blows to Reece. Mitch and Gemini are facing off. Cutter by Onyx. Onyx. Then does a senton off the middle rope. Jack finally catches guy and slams him against a ringside table. Jack throws Badger Into the crowd. Gemini dives out on to two GBK members. Duncan Kincaid is the next entrant . Duncan and Kevin square off. Kevin teams with Gemini as the two focus on Duncan take turns splashing him in the corner. Kevin delivers some punches but Duncan goes to the eyes. Gemini foolishly jumps onto Jack’s back. Jack choke slams Duncan. Kevin pins and eliminates Duncan. The pin was with Jack’s blessing. Jean Claude Jean Claude comes I and attacks Reece. Mitch gets a near fall in Gemini. Then Jean Claude attacks the ref. Jean Claude double suplex. Jack throws people back into the ring. Onyx kicks the ropes as Jackie getting in. Lung blower by Mitch. Jack pushes all his assailants off. Jean Claude re-enters the ring. Test of strength. Jack is just taunting by raising us hand way above Jean Claude's head. Jack then plays along with the test before over power the Frenchman. Big boot by Jack knocks Jean Claude down and eliminated him. Jack grabs Badger by the hair and starts to lift him into the ring. Badger turns that into a jawbreaker. Badger the delivers a series of running. Blows before getting hit with a chokeslam by Jack. Badger is eliminated. Black flag hits the ring. Messengers hit the ring. The rumble to the back. The ref missed a pin for Mitch onyx on Gemini. Gemini hits sliced bread on Mitch for a two count. Ebone who Gemini has had issues with in the past comes out. Dark Gemini comes out from the back. In the ring Kevin is taking on the GBK but they have the upper hand. Reece hits a spinning neckbreaker to eliminate Gemini. Kevin is able to get a hanging DDT on Onyx. Then puns for the three. Kevin now has a chair facing off against Reece. Kevin hits Reece with the chair. DDT to Reece. Kevin pins for the win. Winner of nuclear warfare is Kevin Sanchez. Seeka and GBK attack Kevin leaving hi. Laying in the ring after a fireball to the face.
