NEWS
Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Sting said that he hoped to finish maybe in December but that all changed when Ric Flair arrived. The Stinger mentioned that he got emotional and actually cried only twice in his career. "The first was Panama City when Ric and I had the last WCW match on ‘Nitro’," Sting said. "The second was last week on ‘Dynamite’." Flair was introduced to the AEW audience as Sting's gift from AEW President Tony Khan. "When Ric came out and I heard his music play, it hit me," continued Sting. "I had this flashback, and it made me emotional. Ric is the guy who put me on the map. We’ve traveled around the world together, and Ric helped make me. Now he’s going to finish with me." Sting said that AEW reminded him a lot of the WCW brand and thanked AEW President Tony Khan for allowing him to come back and have some fun. "I liked that idea. I couldn’t say no," Sting recounted when Khan called him to "go out in style."

AEW announced that Ric Flair has signed a multi-year deal with the promotion which comes with the bonus of having Flair's new Wooooo! drink as the exclusive energy drink of AEW. "Last Wednesday, the 'Nature Boy' made his epic return to TBS, more than 35 years since the Flair vs. Sting rivalry first began on the Superstation," said Khan. "It's truly an honor to welcome the legend himself - and Wooooo! Energy - to AEW." Khan continued, "Ric cemented his legacy as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all-time long ago, and now his world-renowned persona and his amazing wrestling mind will be major assets to AEW's programming and our position globally. Most importantly, it's fitting that the final chapter of Sting's iconic career will unfold on TBS with Ric Flair by his side." Flair added, "I've been in the wrestling business for over 50 years. Together with AEW and Wooooo! Energy, I've never been more excited, and I've never had more energy! When the Nature Boy promises a show, you know how it's gonna go! Wooooo!" During AEW show dates, select host venues will carry the clean energy drink at concession stands for fans to enjoy. In addition, the beverage will be stocked in the wrestlers' locker rooms, and will also be seen on the announcers' desk during live broadcasts. Fans watching at home can experience Wooooo! Energy by ordering via [http://www.woooooenergy.com]WoooooEnergy.com[/url]. "We've all been a part of a 'Wooooo!' moment. Time stops, crowds erupt, and people unite to celebrate the extraordinary. It's electric. You hear it, feel it, and never forget it," said Chad Bronstein, President and Chairman of Carma HoldCo, parent company of Wooooo! Energy. "This is so much more than a partnership. Together, Ric Flair, AEW and everyone at Wooooo! Energy will create more unforgettable moments for generations of wrestling fans."

Bluegrass star Billy Strings held his wrestling-themed “Van Andel Scramble” concert in Grand Rapids, MI on Halloween. A video of Ric Flair kicked off the event, which saw a wrestling ring set up on the stage. Strings and various musical guests were dressed up as many stars, including The Undertaker, Sting, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Kane, and Strings himself as Hulk Hogan, complete with a yellow guitar. The end of the show saw Strings, as Hogan, smash a guitar over someone dressed like Rey Mysterio. Pictures and video from the night can be seen on Strings’ Instagram page by clicking hhttps://www.instagram.com/billystringsere.

Ethan Page announced that his Ontario-based independent promotion Alpha-1 Wrestling will return in 2024.

On a recent episode of his podcast “My World”, Jeff Jarrett was asked by his co-host Conrad Thompson if he will be inviting his friend Jim Cornette to the “Dynamite” tapings in Louisville, KY. Cornette is a huge AEW critic and oftentimes has more bad things than good to say about the company headed by Tony Khan. "Are you gonna pick up your old pal Jim Cornette and bring him down to see the show?" Thompson asked Jarrett. "I would love to have Corny. I'd love to have him," Jarrett responded. Cornette replied on X, thanking Jarrett for the invitation, saying he appreciated the gesture. "I tried hard to make it work, but I couldn't find another person in town going so we could split the 2 for 1 ticket offer," Cornette wrote. "But maybe they can find another ratings ploy in time."

There has been a lot of talk about “The Story of Vladimir”, the long-awaited Peacock documentary about Vladimir Abouzeide, which finally came out this weekend. Reader David Wolf said, "I'm in tears. Had no idea what was coming. The documentary is 37 minutes and was filmed from 2019 to 2021 and just released this week. It showed all kinds of wrestlers like Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Sean Waltman, Scott Hall, Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels all putting him over. Jeff Jarrett, who was working as a WWE executive during this time period, was shown as someone close to Vladimir.

PWInsider.com is reporting that A. J. Styles will be returning to television on next week's “WWE Friday Night SmackDown”. Styles has been off TV since he was taken out by The Bloodline on the September 22nd episode of “SmackDown”. He was going to be Cena's partner in his match against Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa, but then L. A. Knight took his place. It's unknown why Styles has been off television for nearly two months but his disappearance also kept the rest of The O. C. faction off TV as well.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Quarky Storm, who passed away October 26th due to complications from diabetes. He was 53. Storm, whose real name was Norman Sandiford II, worked in many roles in wrestling, serving as a ring announcer for TAP and FCW, as well as a manager and wrestler in some Kansas-based federations. He also worked in some behind-the-scenes capacities, creating promotional posters for events. Recent years had seen him confined to a wheelchair, due to having both of his legs amputated. Storm is only known to have competed on one Oklahoma-based wrestling event, where he teamed with J. P.
