On Taylor Wilde’s podcast “Wilde On”, AEW’s Rebel spoke about her role in the promotion and having not been on AEW TV since Britt Baker turned face. “I don’t do the hair and makeup anymore and just strictly on-camera talent and that’s what I plan to keep doing. I lost my passion for makeup and hair,” she said.
John Morrison returned to AEW on “Rampage”, aligning himself with the QTV crew. The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) & Daddy Ass (Billy Gunn) were celebrating after winning a match when Harley Cameron and two masked men came out. Cameron proceeded to do a rap, saying she was better at it than The Acclaimed. Q. T. Marshall came out on the stage and distracted The Acclaimed, who exited the ring. One of the masked men then attacked Billy Gunn, revealing himself to be Morrison. Excalibur referred to Morrison as Johnny TV as Q. T. and Aaron Solo attacked The Acclaimed from behind, the segment ending with the QTV crew celebrating in the ring. Morrison made several appearances for AEW in 2022 under the name Johnny Elite. He was a part of last year's Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament, losing to Samoa Joe in the first round. He later defeated Marq Quen in a match for “AEW Dark”, then lost to Miro on the June 1st edition of “Dynamite”. In the last year, he’s also made appearances for Lucha Libre AAA World Wide, Major League Wrestling, Warrior Wrestling, and Game Changer Wrestling.
At the “Forbidden Door” press conference Sting spoke about when he will retire. He said “I have not decided on a date, for sure. A lot of people have actually wondered if I was going to retire at Wembley. That would be kind of cool but I don’t see that happening. I think I’m going to continue on…I’m not sure how long that will be but like I said a few months ago ‘Showtime’ is just about over with, and it truly is, but I’m looking forward to going back to London. Last time I was there, I was Joker Sting. The crowd loved it there and it was not the big stadium but still a great crowd. I’m looking forward to heading back over there.”
Addressing the crowd after his big dive on Dynamite last night, Sting confirmed that he busted his lip open and might be missing a tooth.
