Mick Foley's loss of his ear in a match with Vader while on tour with WCW in Munich, Germany was listed at #6 of the top 20 worst sports related injuries of all time in a story published in the London Times. Former University of Tulsa quarterback Gus Frerotte was also on the list at #14 for a 1997 incident while playing for the Washington Redskins where he headbutted what he thought was a padded wall after a touchdown and gave himself a concussion. The entire story can be read at http://www.thetimes.co.za/PrintEdition/Sport/Article.aspx?id=615710

On Monday, the 16-time World Champion Ric Flair will be on "WWE RAW" in his hometown of Charlotte, N.C. ?The Nature Boy? always shines brightest in front of his home crowd, and Monday should be no exception. What will Flair have to say? What will he have in store for the Superstars of Raw when he rides that limousine into Charlotte this week on Raw?

Ric Flair and Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee were together at Saturday's Clemson vs. South Carolina football game with Flair campaigning. Also there was former South Carolina governor David Beasley and Mike Campbell, the son of former South Carolina Governor Carroll Campbell. Flair is good friends with the Campbell family. Lots of fans were doing the "Whoo" and there was a sign advocating Flair to head the Environmental Protection Agency.

If you look at the photos of The 4 Horsemen under Ric Flair's bio on WWE.com you will find several pictures of Chris Benoit.

Jim Ross mentioned in his latest blog that Jakks may be releasing new action figures of himself and Jerry Lawler in 2008.

Sting's time in TNA may come to an end at the end of this year as his contract with the company runs out in December. It is believed that TNA offered a new deal to Steve Borden however the wrestling veteran hasn't signed it. Sting originally made his debut with TNA in 2003 and spent a year there before going on a hiatus. His return to TNA was announced in the beginning of January 2006 and he appeared again at the "Final Resolution" pay-per-view and has been with the company ever since. Sting is one of the few big name Superstars who has never accepted a WWE deal.

For unclear reasons, Jim Cornette's profile was removed from the TNAwrestling.com roster page on Wednesday, but it reappeared the next day.

Ring of Honor is holding events in New York, NY on December 29th & 30th. On the 29th, ROH Champion Nigel McGuinness defends against Austin Aries. The winner of that match defends the title on the 30th in a Fatal Four Way Match against Chris Hero and two more competitors. Bryan Danielson, Takeshi Morishima, Claudio Castagnoli, Naomichi Marufuji, and Brent Albright are all petitioning for the final two spots.

Former WWE coach/trainer "Dr. Death" Steve Williams is helping to train wrestlers for the local Fusion Pro Wrestling in Denver, CO.

Abdullah the Butcher made his IWA debut on November 23rd in Tokyo in a trios match.

There is a preview for a Honky Tonk Man, Iron Sheik and New Jack combined video at www.YouTube.com/watch?v=h7r7nlh1NIU.

There was a recent episode of People's Court with Judge Marilyn Milian featuring a hugely overweight man who claimed he was the grandson of Haystacks Calhoun and claimed his mother was a female wrestler named Country Girl Calhoun. Anyway, he claimed to be a pro wrestler and refused to retire until he breaks Andre The Giant's record for most fights at 772. He also said that if it had not been for his grandfather, there would be no Hulk Hogan or Randy Savage.

Stu Hart will be inducted into the Lou Thesz/George Tragos Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Waterloo, Iowa. Hart will be inducted by his son, WWE Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Roddy Piper will also be inducted into the Thesz/Tragos Hall of Fame.

Roddy Piper is sending some items for those that attended the show that he left early from. Piper did his "Piper's Pit" segment then left the arena although he had been scheduled for an autograph session. Piper claims he was confused as to what he was supposed to do at the show resulting in him leaving early.
