Barrett Brown, Zack Zilla, and Jerome Daniel Griffey were all members of the security procession escorting Wardlow to the ring at the "AEW Dynamite” broadcast on Wednesday night.
John Hennigan debuted on "AEW Dynamite" on Wednesday, being the men’s joker in the Owen Hart Tournament. He would face Samoa Joe in a competitive match that Joe would end up winning via pinfall. It was not clear if Johnny Elite was signed to a deal or if it was a one off appearance from the former WWE superstar. Mike Johnson of PW Insider provided the latest update. While Johnny Elite is not officially on the AEW roster, fans might see him again. That will depend on his availability and whether AEW has something for him. “Speaking of Hennigan, who debuted last night as Johnny Elite, we are told he is not signed to the promotion as of this writing but the door is open for additional appearances down the line after he wrestled Samoa Joe last night.” Time will tell if Johnny Elite will wrestle for AEW again, and if he will sign a full time contract with the promotion following his debut on Wednesday night.
The two Jokers in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament were John Hennigan and Maki Itoh this past Wednesday night and both individuals were on the losing side. Hennigan used the Johnny Elite name, continuing the tradition of replacing his last name depending where he is working. He faced Samoa Joe in the opening match of the show but the Ring of Honor TV Champion came out with the victory. Meanwhile, Japanese favorite Maki Itoh was Britt Baker’s surprise opponent. The 26-year-old last appeared for the company at "Revolution" last year where she was Baker’s mystery partner as they took on Thunder Rosa and Riho. But just like Johnny Elite, Itoh was defeated in her match and is out of the tournament.
Sammy Guevara is confident that the fans are eager to see him win the TNT Championship again. “The Spanish God” has held the gold three times, or technically four, counting his Interim TNT Championship reign. He and Scorpio Sky have traded the belt back and forth, but the title is once again in Sky's hands. While the crowd has somewhat soured on Guevara in recent weeks, he believes that everyone wants to see him regain the gold. “I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say I can’t wait until I’m a four-time five-champion. I think the people are clamoring for it. People want it,” Guevara said during an interview with Brandon Walker of Rasslin. When asked about the way fans have turned on them, Guevara and Tay Conti noted that nothing has changed, but some people have “exposed themselves” for being fake since the couple has brought their real relationship to AEW programming. “The people changed,” said Guevara. “We’re still the same people. Still the beautiful Tay Conti here, ‘The Brazilian Goddess’, ‘The Spanish God’ doing all these crazy things in the ring. I’m still the same person, she’s still the same person. “I think really what happened is people exposed themselves…. I don’t think people hate us. I think the fake people exposed themselves for being fake. The real people are still there. Our core audience, the people who have always supported us, still support us.” Conti chimed in by saying, “I man, we did nothing wrong for people to hate us. Why? Why do they hate us?”’
This week’s Sammy Guevara vlog is available by clicking here.
As many fans know, Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti have received quite a lot of hate as of late. Like most couples who bring their real life relationships to TV, fans have turned against the pair. However, they have both done a great job of garnering reactions from fans, whether that be cheers or boos. While speaking on "Rasslin’", Guevara was asked about the highlights of his career in AEW. Guevara claimed that his relationship with Tay Conti is the greatest highlight of his AEW career. “That’s the thing, there’s the golf cart, there’s me getting superkicked by Matt Jackson, there’s the Stadium Stampede, there’s Blood & Guts, there’s my time beating Miro. I’ve had moment, after moment, after moment, after moment here in AEW. I’m humble. The thing is, moment, after moment, after moment, but the thing is, the highlight is being with this beautiful woman.”
Jim Ross is staying with All Elite Wrestling. The legendary broadcaster has been with AEW from the start as a member of the broadcast team for "AEW Dynamite" and AEW pay-per-views. He initially signed a three-year deal in 2019, and he recently announced that he has put pen to paper on a new contract. During the newest episode of his podcast, "Grilling JR", Ross stated that he has signed a contract extension that with keep him with the company for another year and a half. “I don’t think I've made this announcement yet; I signed an extension with AEW not too long ago,” said Ross. “I appreciate Tony Khan’s confidence and his willingness to keep me on the team and contribute. We’re not going a long time, but I signed about a year and a half, something like that, to stay in the position I’m in. I’m really pleased that, at 70, I still have a future. At 70, I still love what I do. Anybody that says ‘you’re too old,’ fuck yourself.” Ross went on to say that he wants to reach 2024 in his work with AEW, as that would mark his 50th anniversary in the wrestling industry. “I want to get to 2024,” said Ross. “That’s 50 years in the wrestling business. Not a lot of guys can say they were basically in the same job in a fickle. crazy ass, unpredictable business like pro wrestling for 50 years. The good Lord is looking down and cutting me a break, if I get to 50, I’ll be the happiest guy in Norman, Oklahoma.”
Jim Cornette has never been a fan of AEW star Jon Moxley's work. He has severely criticized the latter on every front possible. Moxley has once again become a staple of AEW programming since his return earlier this year. He has joined forces with Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta under William Regal's mentorship to form The Blackpool Combat Club. While BCC has embarked on a dominant start and racked up successive victories, Cornette has had an issue with it. Speaking on "The Jim Cornette Experience" podcast, Cornette asserted that AEW is wasting talent by mixing Moxley and Danielson in a faction. Cornette also went on to say that Regal would have made an excellent commissioner for the company: "I've hated the entire Blackpool Combat Club since the start. I hate they put Danielson in the middle of Moxley and Yuta. I hate that Regal is being utilized in this fashion instead of being potentially the commissioner of the whole company and making matches instead of Tony's coked-out f**king hippity hop and up and down," Cornette said. Cornette poked fun at Moxley's idea of forming a faction. The veteran even held him responsible for taking away Bryan Danielson's heel run: "Regal just did an interview on some podcast and said, yeah, the Blackpool Combat Club, it was Moxley's idea (..) we know that he's the one behind getting the drug addicted bank robber, public attention lately because he's an idiot, and he idolizes f**king trash like that. But now Moxley is the one responsible for taking away our heel Bryan Danielson. I'll never forgive him for that," he added. This isn't the first time Jim Cornette has lashed out at AEW and Jon Moxley for disrupting Bryan Danielson's career. The veteran has previously described The American Dragon's saga with Mox as the worst thing that has happened to the former's AEW career.Booker T talked about Ric Flair’s return to the ring on his Hall of Fame podcast.
CM Punk has had a crazy return to pro wrestling since returning last year. Debuting with AEW, many fans expected Punk to go straight for the world title but instead we have witnessed Punk earning his way to the title. He will meet Adam Page at "Double Or Nothing" later this month for the AEW World Title. While speaking on "The Jim Cornette Experience", Jim Cornette talked about Adam Page and CM Punk’s feud. He urged Tony Khan to make CM Punk the AEW World Champion because Punk is a world class talent. “So my question is unless somebody has suddenly come to their senses and decided okay Adam Page.. meh.. CM Punk, big star, let’s put the belt on Punk. Unless they have just decided that, how bad a mistake will it be to have CM Punk versus Adam Page and have Punk fail to win the title? Not even do a job, just somehow fail to win the title much less do a job,”
Jim Cornette has a history of blasting characters and wrestlers for one reason or another. He has famously hated the likes of Kevin Owens, The Young Bucks and Sami Zayn to a point he refuses to speak positively about any of them. However, as of late he has toned down this part of his personality – until his most recent podcast of course. While speaking on his Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette was asked about The Fiend’s character. Jim Cornette went full scorched earth on the gimmick of Bray Wyatt’s: “People want to know where Bray Wyatt is. I have no idea why. I have no idea why anybody is interested in The Fiend after the Firefly Funhouse and the crispy critter from Canyon Creek got burned alive, and all that hocus-pocus science fiction, horror movie mumbo jumbo. The most insulting, rotten, embarrassing, fake, phoney, bad bullsh*t I have ever seen in my many years of pro wrestling – and they still want to know, ‘Where is he and when’s he coming back?’ If he wants to retire, I’m all in favor of it. I might have liked the guy but when I saw The Fiend, nah.” Many fans are hit and miss when it comes to The Fiend. Due to his booking at the beginning and end of his run, fans aren’t sure how to feel. However, many are credible to Wyatt of his talent to bring such characters to life.
In March it was rumored that Killer Kross and Scarlett were set to appear for Ring of Honor at "Supercard of Honor" in Dallas, TX but it never came to fruition.
Killer Kross recently appeared on "The Wrestling Inc. Daily" to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about not appearing at the Ring of Honor "Supercard of Honor" pay-per-view despite early reports he was in talks to appear, Kross went into great detail about how the situation went down that ended up with him and Scarlett not appearing on the show. “This is chronologically how it sort of happened,” Killer Kross said. “So, I am going to a jiu-jitsu class in Orlando, it’s Daniel Gracie’s, I attend a school there, I go there all the time. Someone in the school had brought it to my attention that the company was interested in bringing us both on board, so I said, ‘okay, cool.’ Right around the exact same time, somebody else in the school told me that New Japan was interested in having me on board. “So, I was like, this is incredible, these literally both came in the same day. Immediately I began a correspondence with both parties. Basically, we were told that they’d be interested in having the both of us for the Supercard. So, basically, the correspondent, I don’t want to throw their name out there. I don’t know if they want it out there. But this is the person to be talking to, by the way, out of all the people you would be talking to, would be the person. So, they said, ‘do you have this date free?’ I said, ‘for this, yes, I absolutely do,’ it was a no-brainer, we were basically just working out a number. “Then there was radio silence, I was like, ‘okay, there’s probably a lot of moving parts, I am not going to suffocate this person.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know how we’re going to keep this quiet,’ we were really pumped about this, it’s going to be awesome. She might be able to revisit some stuff from Ring of Honor that she previously did. We can do something new, so, all of these ideas are coming to light. Then it was announced on TV that Tony Khan had bought Ring Of Honor. “So, I hit my correspondent back, and I was like, ‘what the f*ck is going on here?’ He’s like, ‘I have no idea,’ and then a little bit of time went on, and then we began to find out through my other friends in the company, who didn’t even know. Because we were fading them too, not like we thought they’d maliciously stooge it off, we just didn’t want it to leak. We are very old school, we don’t tell anybody what is going on. So, what happened was everybody lost their jobs, or they were out of jobs. They didn’t have work anymore at Ring of Honor. At that point, on a humane level, there was no way I could continue talking to this person. I felt bad for that person on the phone. Like, here is this person that was offering us work, and then they’re not there anymore. My heart was broken for them, I was like, I don’t think this is something, just on a human level, that we should continue pursuing. I guess that’s just basically what happened, it was kind of like sad actually. I felt bad, I didn’t pursue it beyond that.”
We see a lot of hair changes in WWE. A lot of times we see wrestlers changing their hair style due to gimmick changes or just to make some noise. Most recently, Edge appeared on Monday Night RAW with a short new cut that set social media alight once it was noticed. According to Fightful Select, WWE has a list of wrestlers who are allowed to get haircuts backstage. Below is the list of approved Superstars from RAW and Smackdown allowed to use the company’s barber backstage while at TV tapings. RAW: A. J. Styles, Bobby Lashley, Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Dolph Ziggler, Edge, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, The Miz, Randy Orton, Riddle & Seth Rollins. SmackDown: Drew McIntyre, Happy Corbin, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kofi Kingston, Madcap Moss, Paul Heyman, Ricochet, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Sheamus & Xavier Woods Names not featured on this list would have to go to outside barbers in order to receive a new cut.
WWE’s YouTube channel has uploaded Mickie James vs. Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss from the May 14, 2018 episode of RAW.
The Most Wanted DLC Pack for WWE 2K22 was released Tuesday, which adds Cactus Jack, Vader, The Boogeyman, NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov, and Indi Hartwell to the game’s roster.
It looks like we won’t be seeing Mickie James back in WWE anytime soon. It was reported that WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks & Naomi had walked out of the TV tapings, citing creative issues with the company. Since the walkout occurred, it has also been reported that the pair have little to no support backstage in the WWE. While some have come out in support of the tag champions, there haven’t seen many high profile names talk on the topic. While speaking on "Busted Open Radio", Mickie James shared her thoughts on Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out. James was supportive of them as she openly applauded their decision. “Yeah, I actually applaud them standing in their convictions and how they felt. If they felt disrespected, or they felt unheard, or they felt any of those things. I mean, at the end of the day, we still are independent contractors. Like, that can be argued that they did show up to work that day. They saw whatever they were supposed to do and they had committed at least to half the day. So again, you are honestly only hearing only what they put out. Honestly, when I saw the statement, I was a bit in shock that WWE would even put out the statement. Because I couldn’t believe that Vince signed off on the statement.” James of course had a rough exit to her WWE career when she was last released from the company. However, James would later appear at WWE's "Royal Rumble" as Impact Women’s Champion earlier this year.
Recently reports have been rampant regarding a possible return to the ring for Ric Flair. Flair is currently 73 years of age and has suffered from many health issues in the past including having a pacemaker fitted. Flair has been seen in footage bumping in the ring with Jay Lethal. Mike Johnson of PW Insider shared an update on Ric Flair’s wrestling plans. The big comeback would be for one night only. The Nature Boy insists that he wants to look good inside the squared circle. “We are told Flair is looking at doing a one night in-ring comeback that would tentatively happen this summer. It would not be for WWE or AEW.” Flair took to Twitter to confirm the reports. The Rumors Are True! I’m Going To Walk That Aisle, Style And Profile, One Last Time! July 31st! Nashville, Tennessee! Jim Crockett Promotions! I Will Prove Once Again, That To Be The Man, You’ve Got To Beat The Man! Now We Go To School! WOOOOO!"
With Ric Flair's pending return to the ring, former WCW commentator Chris Cruise took to Facebook to urge people to email various state agencies to ensure Flair would not be able to wrestle. He wrote "Hey you rubes, I screw around here a lot, but this is serious: Ric Flair should not be allowed to wrestle. Some reports indicate he has been working out with Jay Lethal in preparation to returning to the ring. He can’t be stopped from doing so in states that don’t have athletic commissions and licensing protocols, but insurance companies can step in and refuse to issue a bond to a promotion that books him. And for those states that do have commissions, they should be contacted to demand that they not allow Flair to wrestle. Simply put, Ric Flair returning to the ring is not wise. No how, no way. He’s 73, in poor health, an alcoholic, and has a pacemaker installed. Today I emailed the following to the Maryland State Athletic Commission, since I live in Maryland, and will contact other commissions as well. I would encourage you to also email the commission (athletic@dllr.state.md.us) and urge its members to deny Flair a license. It won’t take long, and could help keep Flair alive. Here is the email I sent:To the Commissioners of the Maryland State Athletic Commission:Recently, published reports indicate the professional wrestler known as Ric Flair, who is 73 and has a pacemaker, is considering returning to the ring. Obviously, that is not wise. It’s almost as if he wants to die in the ring. I am writing as a citizen of Maryland to express my concern about the prospect of Mr. Fleihr being granted a license to wrestle in this state. I’m sure you understand how disastrous it would be for the Commission if he died in the ring during a performance for which you granted him a license.I’d like to know what standards the Commission has for granting a license to a professional wrestler. Is a physical examination required? Are athletes over 70 and who have a pacemaker installed allowed to wrestle professionally in Maryland? I look forward to your reply."
It’s been announced the match will happen on July 31 at the Starrcast event in Nashville, TN. The rumor is it will be F. T. R. (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) & Ric Flair vs. The Rock-N-Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) and a mystery partner. Booker T said “From a nostalgic perspective, I think that’s got wings. I think they can fly a little bit. I mean, we got it on Fite TV. It’s not going to be the WWE, AEW, or anything like that, but I’m sure that they can draw a crowd just to see Ric Flair’s final match. Even at this state, I think people are still going to want to go and pay to see Ric Flair style and profile and make that walk one more time. I say if Muhammad Ali came back today, I would buy a ticket to see him fight Joe Frazier. So for nostalgic purposes, if you’re anywhere around and are a Ric Flair fan, if it’s within driving distance, you’ll probably go check it out.” Booker T discussed Chris Cruise saying Flair should not be allowed to compete in the ring as Flair has a pacemaker in his chest. Booker said “I was just reading that he’s demanding that Ric Flair not be allowed to wrestle again and the commission should put a stop to it wherever he goes. I can understand why someone like Chris Cruise would say that. Ric Flair is a guy that’s got a pacemaker in his chest. Just to be stepping inside of the squared circle to be taking bumps, even with Jay Lethal, I don’t think that’s something that the doctor would prescribe. But then again, I don’t think Ric Flair is thinking about what the doctors are looking to prescribe. One thing I’ve learned about Ric Flair is he’s going to do it his way and that’s just the way it is. Ric Flair has said it to me personally if he could be in that ring right now, that’s what he would be doing. Life is short and sometimes you gotta figure out how you want to go out. I mean, how many more rides of Space Mountain can we go on? But I’ll tell you what. As many as we can go on, we’re gonna ride.”
During a Facebook Live broadcast last week for Highspots.com, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat revealed that he was offered a spot on Ric Flair's last match, tagging with the Rock-N-Roll Express, but he declined the invitation after thinking about it for a week. Steamboat admitted that he was approached and really thought about the offer but he "recently" declined the opportunity, even though it would have been a great pay day. "A lot of respect for the guy in the ring. Both of us are night and day when it comes to stuff out of the ring," Steamboat said. Steamboat, considered to be one of Ric Flair's greatest rivals in the ring, said that he knows this will be a six-man tag match and he can probably do some stuff, but at 69, he doesn't want fans to remember him for that. "I know when I wrestled [Chris] Jericho at 'WrestleMania 25' and then we had the return match at 'Backlash' in a singles," Steamboat said. "I want them to remember me that last time I was in there with Jericho when they chanted, 'You still got it.' I don't want to scar that phrase." Steamboat added that he doesn't want the fans to think that "maybe he should have stayed retired," so he passed. You can see his comments by clicking here starting at 47:45.
Ric Flair talked about comments regarding his return to the ring during the latest episode of the "To Be The Man" podcast. It’s been announced the match will happen on July 31st at the Starrcast event in Nashville, TN. The rumor is it will be F. T. R. & Flair vs. Rock N’ Roll Express and a mystery partner. There are some fans who believe Flair should not be allowed to compete in the ring as Flair has a pacemaker in his chest. “I just want to address a few things that I think people need to hear about. I would say it’s 70% positive. But for the 30% of people that are worried about me getting in a ring and wrestling again, first of all, I assure you that I’ve been in the ring a lot more than I’ve shown on social media. I have to get quicker. I have to get faster. I’m in better shape now because I train with Rob, John Cena’s personal trainer, than I’ve ever been in my life in terms of cardio. I’ve never been a cosmetic wonderboy so I am going to wear a shirt, but I can assure you that in two and a half months, I will put on a clinic of what real wrestling should be about. I’m never going to be able to do a moonsault. God bless those that can. For the other people that don’t follow social media to understand, you don’t see how much money I make from Cameo. That alone I can live on for the rest of my life. I just made a commercial for Carshield. My life is good. I don’t need the money, but baby, I do like the glory. I’m never going to walk away from it. If I have a chance to get myself over, I’m going to do it. That’s what I’ve been doing my whole life. You don’t understand. If I can crash in that airplane with a pilot killed and two guys are paralyzed and get back on another plane and fly six months later, you could do anything. So I almost died four years ago. I got a pacemaker. I almost died of a blood clot. I had four heart operations in seven weeks. I’m good to go. I will decide on when I want to go. So this is not about the money. This is about me doing what I’ve done my whole life. I watch wrestling every day because I love it, and I respect the guys in it.” Flair also shared what his heart doctor said about this: “Everybody’s got a different opinion. So I follow one heart doctor that I have the most confidence in, the guy I like the most. I called him and said I wanted to do this. The only thing I was worried about was getting in with a pacemaker. He said, ‘Ric, there’s enough scar tissue around that thing now that I believe it’ll hold. If you want to do it, do it.’ That was the answer. That was the only concern. The other concern, which I haven’t had in a long time, would have been when I get dizzy because of the equilibrium issue that I have with the inner ear problem, but I haven’t had that since I wrestled Edge in a ladder match. So, just a couple of concerns, but I’m not afraid of it. I have more self confidence, which is important for me personally, than I had when I wrestled Shawn, especially because this will be a tag match format.”
Ric Flair defended his decision to return to the ring for one final time and said that his participation in this event was not motivated by money, but rather by glory. Speaking on his podcast, Flair addressed the topic, saying that he’s in better shape than he was and has been in the ring more than he showed on social media. Flair engaged John Cena’s personal trainer to get him in shape for this match and claimed that cardio-wise, he’s in great shape and his doctor gave him the green light to wrestle even with a pacemaker. Flair said he’s going to wear a shirt for his match because he’s never been a “cosmetic wonder boy” but assured everyone that when the match happens, he will “put on a clinic of what real wrestling should be about.” The Nature Boy also discussed the money aspect, saying that he makes enough money from commercials and Cameo and didn’t need this for the money. “My life is good. I don’t need the money but I do like the glory. I’m never going to walk away from it. If I have a chance to get myself over, I’m going to do it. It’s what I’ve been doing my whole life,” Flair said. He did say that he’s going to make a lot of money regardless because “everything Conrad touches makes money.”
Ric Flair is set to be roasted during "Starrcast V" weekend in July. We noted before how "Starrcast V" will feature Flair’s final match that Sunday at the one night only “Jim Crockett Presents: Ric Flair’s Final Match” event. Flair is set to team with AAA & ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR to take on WWE Hall of Famers The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and a partner. In an update, Starrcast announced today that "The Roast of Ric Flair" will take place on Friday, July 29th from The Nashville Fairgrounds, just two days before Flair’s final match and at the same venue. "The Roast of Ric Flair" will air live on FITE TV. “The last weekend in July is going to be Ric’s swan song in a professional wrestling ring, so what better way to send him off before his final match than giving him a proper roast,” said Conrad Thompson. “Ric’s career has transcended professional wrestling and made him a pop culture icon. You’ve seen his influence everywhere from sports to hip hop. He’s done it all, except get roasted by some of his dearest friends and the most talented comedians in the world. That all changes on July 29th.”
Starrcast will be reuniting the legendary Four Horsemen for a stage show on July 30th at the Nashville Fairgrounds during SummerSlam weekend. The six of them will be talking about the Jim Crockett Promotions era and then will be taking photos with fans. "Wait until you see the set," Starrcast creator Conrad Thompson tweeted. "This will be the first time we have all been on stage at the same time, and this will be the last time! But remember, The Horsemen are forever," added Flair. Tickets for this event will go on sale this Friday at Starrcast.com.

On this week’s “My World with Jeff Jarrett,” Conrad Thompson talked about Ric Flair’s last match that is coming up. “Once upon a time, the greatest wrestling weekend of my life was 'ECW One Night Stand' because ECW went away with a whimper. I mean, there was no final show. We didn’t really get to say goodbye. At least with the last 'Nitro', we knew it was the last 'Nitro'. But for Jim Crockett Promotions, it just went away. In a perfect world, there would have been a 'One Night Stand' version of that 30 years ago, but it didn’t happen,” Thompson said. “I’m sad that Jim Crockett, Jr. won’t be here to see it. But David Crockett and as many of the Crocketts that we can get will be there on hand to celebrate one last run, one last match, not just for the Nature Boy, but for Jim Crockett Promotions. We’ve licensed the music. It’s going to look and feel just like it did way back when in the mid ’80s. The Nature Boy is going to walk that aisle one last time. I know there’s been some pushback and people who were all of a sudden are very concerned about Ric Flair’s well being. I wonder if those are the same folks who are clamoring for Undertaker to have one more match, or what they felt about Vince McMahon wrestling at 'WrestleMania', or Jerry Lawler wrestling every other weekend. It’s not uncommon in Tennessee for these Tennessee boys to strut around, and by the way, Tennessee is the birthplace of Ric Flair. How fun is it that it’s come full circle with Jim Crockett Promotions and him and one more match? Let me just say that I’m smarter than I look. We got some fun ideas for the show and I think some naysayers are going to come around and they’re going to like this idea.”
Bob Orton, Jr. has opened the Ace Wrestling Academy in a partnership with Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling. The academy is located in East Carondelet, IL.
TVG hosts on Saturday spoke heavily about Mick Foley after a horse named Cactus Jack raced in the tenth race in Los Angeles, CA.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan is currently battling cancer again. Duggan on Instagram uploaded a message saying that despite the removal of his prostate last year, his cancer has returned. “It seems that my cancer treatment is not over even after the removal of my prostate last October,” he said. “And tomorrow, I am getting my second hormone shot and Tuesday I am being set up for radiation treatment, which will be eight weeks, five days a week.” Duggan said he was optimistic about recovery, though he may have to cancel dates set up in the future as a result of radiation treatment. “The doctors are very optimistic that they caught it early,” he said. “It’s a terrifying time for me and my family. But the doctors also said to go ahead and live life, which we’re going to do.” In October, Duggan announced that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and by December, had announced he was cancer free. Duggan additionally fought kidney cancer during his time in WCW in the late 90s. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
Kenny Kendall suffered a fractured nose on May 16th. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
