UWE announced on Saturday that due to the rules by Oklahoma State Athletic Commission that men and women cannot compete against each other, Slice & Kill were forced to vacate the Tag Team Titles. New champions will be crowned at "Showdown 11" on October 16th when Most Wanted (Dan Webber & Reese) face The Black Flag Brigade (Brett Irons & Anarchy) for the vacant titles.

Fuego del Sol is the guest on this week’s edition of AEW’s "Unrestricted Podcast". WWE has released an amazing Ric Flair Legacy Championship Collector's title with only 500 individually numbered produced and the title comes with its very own diamond collector’s case. On his "Hall of Fame" podcast, Booker T supported Mick Foley and his comments about WWE this week. “I think there’s a lot of validity in the comments Mick Foley made. I can’t not disagree with Mick Foley on anything. Smart dude, very, very intelligent as well and he knows his stuff,” he said.

Oklafan congratulates Drake Gallows, who recently surpassed 6 months as RDW Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Oxley for the title on March 7, 2021 at an event in Midwest City.

Oklafan extends condolences to Daniel Flynn on the passing of his aunt Baylin on September 7th. Condolences are also sent to Flynn's son, Jake Danielsson.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Ron McFarlane, who passed away August 29th from cancer. He was 66 years old. McFarlane was born to parents with the last name Query, but was raised by McFarlanes and took their name. McFarlane was a wrestling fan growing up in Kansas and once got ejected from a wrestling event after hitting Percival A. Friend while in the front row. A high school wrestling champion, McFarlane ended up being trained by Kenny Milsap and began working on shows in Missouri and Kansas. It wasn’t long before he made his way into TSW in Oklahoma. Initially working as a singles competitor, he faced many established names including Jim Dalton, Bruce Reed, and his trainer Kenny Milsap. He would eventually form a tag team with Doug Somers and in 1980, they would capture the TSW Tag Team Titles from Tommy Gilbert & Eddie Gilbert. That same year, they would lose the belts to Ron Sexton & Hector Guerrero, then reclaim them before losing them back to the Gilberts before the end of 1980. McFarlane and Somers would split at that point and McFarlane disappeared from TSW, but returned in early 1981. This time, he would team with Jerry Brown and they would battle Frank Hill & Terry Orndorff for the TSW Tag Team Titles. Those belts were held up in early 1981 and on February 27, 1981, Brown & McFarlane would defeat Hill & Orndorff for the belts. They held them almost 3 months before losing them to Eddie Gilbert & Ricky Morton. McFarlane would be fired in the ring by Skandar Akbar at that point and would feud for most of the rest of 1981 with Brown. By 1982, McFarlane and Brown made their way to Florida, where they teamed under masks as the Alabama Chain Gang, who were allegedly bank robbers who had stolen over $40,000. But they never got what they were promised down there and while Brown was willing to stick it out, McFarlane returned to Kansas, where he began driving a dump truck. He would still compete in wrestling on the weekends and briefly tried promoting spot shows and training wrestlers. He completely retired in 1995 and sold John Deere equipment for some time. He endured 3 hip replacements and did not reconnect with the wrestling world until 2010. McFarlane competed on 41 documented Oklahoma-based wrestling cards. His earliest was November 9, 1979 in Oklahoma City and his last match was September 11, 1981 vs. Jerry Brown. Results for both of these matches are unknown.
