NEWS
On Wednesday, Kyle Hawk announced on his Facebook that he resigned from Warrior Pro Wrestling and relinquished their Heavyweight Title. He said it was due to inappropriate conduct and unprofessionalism by the company towards the harassment of female and male talent.

The NWA has a "Road To EmPowerrr" video, with a sit-down interview with Billy Corgan and Mickie James that you can watch by clicking here.

The NWA announced that 16-time champion Ric Flair will be appearing at the company’s 73rd anniversary pay-per-view next week. “It was always historic. But now #NWA73 at The Chase will be LEGENDARY. The rumors are true. He’s finally HOME,” a tweet from the NWA said last week. Flair, who won 10 NWA titles during his career, has not made any appearances for the promotion since its rebirth and his name is closely associated with the NWA of the 80s. Flair made a surprise appearance last week at the AAA Triplemania event in Mexico City, aligning himself with Andrade el Idolo. This was his first non-WWE appearance in many, many years. The pay-per-view will take place on August 29th at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis, MO. It will be headlined by Nick Aldis defending the NWA World Title against Trevor Murdoch in a Title vs. Career Match.

Jinder Mahal, Goldberg, and WALTER & Dragunov appeared on Wednesday morning’s edition of WWE’s "The Bump".

Goldberg said on "The Bump" that he has two matches left on his WWE contract: “I’m a great fan of both of ‘em [Roman Reigns & John Cena] for what they’ve done individually, for what Roman’s been able to do for the past couple of years is freaking unbelievable. I think it’s fantastic. I think Paul Heyman has a lot to do with that. I’d love a piece of Roman Reigns and I think maybe even more so would I love to get my hands around Cena’s throat but, it’s wishful thinking. We’ll see. Let me take care of Bobby Lashley first and then -- hey, I only got one more match, or two more matches on my deal here so, we’ll see what happens”

SmackDown had a big day in ratings Friday night, drawing 2,498,000 viewers in the overnight rating, up a whopping 452,000 viewers from the previous week’s overnight. Last week’s show, which emanated from Tulsa, OK, ended with 2,169,000 viewers when the final number came in on Monday. SmackDown started very strong with 2,575,000 viewers and then had 2,422,000 viewers in the second hour. The show did 0.6 in the 18-49 demographics, beating everything else on network television. This was the most-watched SmackDown since the December 25, 2020 episode which aired following an NFL game.

WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded A. J. Styles vs. Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Title from SummerSlam 2017 and John Morrison vs. The Miz vs. John Cena from "Extreme Rules 2011".

Goldin, the leading marketplace for trading cards, collectibles and memorabilia, and WWE have partnered to offer a billion dollar bill featuring and signed by Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman & CEO, and a 1-of-1 “Billionaire Bucks” t-shirt through Goldin’s Card & Memorabilia Auction that opened this week. Fans can also bid for a chance to win a tour through WWE’s warehouse with Triple H as their guide to see one-of-a-kind pieces, including iconic match-worn gear, championship title belts, and rings from legendary events. A lucky fan will also be able to win two tickets and a behind-the-scenes experience at WrestleMania featuring a meet-and-greet with The Undertaker. The autographed billion-dollar bill and “Billionaire Bucks” t-shirt were created specifically for this auction. An additional unsigned bill and “Billionaire Bucks” t-shirt will be available for auction in-venue at SummerSlam in Las Vegas, NV this Saturday, August 21st. “We are honored to be working with WWE for our first-ever auction featuring fan experiences,” said Ross Hoffman, CEO of Goldin. “WWE has built a brand that is constantly innovating and providing the best to their fans, and we could not be more proud to help provide a new way to engage with their passionate fans. And what better way to do so than to offer experiences with storied WWE Legends Triple H and The Undertaker!" Scott Zanghellini, WWE Senior Vice President, Revenue Strategy & Development said "Goldin is a clear industry leader, and we believe this is an incredible opportunity to give fans a chance to own a unique piece of SummerSlam history.” In addition to the one-of-a-kind experiences, the auction will also feature 7 WWE SummerSlam memorabilia items, such as The barbed wire baseball bat Ric Flair used in his victory against Mick Foley in the I Quit Match at SummerSlam 2006 (LOT 23), the shears Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake & Hulk Hogan used in their 1989 match victory against “Macho Man” Randy Savage & Zeus (LOT 24), the nightstick Big Bossman used in his match against Koko B. Ware at SummerSlam 1988 (LOT 25), the Money in the Bank Briefcase Randy Orton cashed in on Daniel Bryan to become WWE Champion at SummerSlam 2013 (LOT 26), the arena banner used at SummerSlam from 1992-1997 (LOT 27), the ring skirt used at SummerSlam from 1989-1997 (LOT 28), and the ring skirt used at SummerSlam in 1998 (LOT 29).

Jenni Santana, the recently announced newest member of the World Class Revolution roster, is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana. She is also a champion in Brazilian Ju Jitsu.

With last Friday night’s "AEW Rampage" taking place in Pittsburgh, PA, Shane Douglas was backstage at the show. Taz posted a picture with Douglas, Tommy Dreamer, Jerry Lynn, and Judge Jeff Jones.

Tony Khan spoke about Fuego del Sol being awarded an AEW contract on last Friday night’s "AEW Rampage" show. He said, “That was a complete shoot. Fuego had no idea that was going to happen. Sammy was the only person I told, and Fuego was legitimately surprised to receive the contract he’s been dreaming of and chasing.”

The latest episode of Sammy Guevara’s vlog, which focuses on Fuego del Sol being signed by AEW, can be watched by clicking here.

Sammy Guevara was a happy man last night as he got to propose to his girlfriend in the middle of the ring before Dynamite went live in his hometown of Houston. The 28-year-old invited his girlfriend, Pam, to the ring and told her that he does not want to think about what he would do without her and then dropped on his knee, took a ring out, and asked her to marry him. Fans chanted “YES!” and after a few seconds, Pam said yes herself to a big ovation from the crowd. Oklafan congratulates Sammy Guevara on his recent engagement.

Stormi Renee sprained her ankle in her Triple Threat Match against Skylar Slice and Morgan Levay at UWO on Saturday. Oklafan wishes her a speedy recovery.
