Newsweek listed the "101 Monumental Moments in Television History" last week. The Jerry Lawler-Andy Kaufman angle on "Late Night with David Letterman" made the list. Usually when lists like these are published, are the Lawler-Kaufman angle and the debut of Gorgeous George on national TV in 1947 are among the moments.
Ricky Starks will be this week's guest on "The Waiting Room" with host Dr. Britt Baker, DMS on "AEW Dark" on February 2nd.
New images of the upcoming AEW Unrivaled Series 4 action figures have been revealed, which include Matt Hardy, Cody, Ortiz, Santana, Sammy Guevara, and Kenny Omega.
AEW held the first-ever "Dynamite Awards" on Wednesday in a broadcast aired for free on B/R Live. The half-hour show was hosted by Dynamite commentator Tony Schiavone and Dr. Britt Baker with several celebrities presenting the awards virtually. The Inner Circle's attack on Orange Cassidy won the Biggest Beatdown; Santana and Ortiz vs. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent) in the parking lot brawl won the Hardest Moment to Clean Up After; Nyla Rose won Best Twitter Follow; The debut of Sting on Dynamite won the Biggest Surprise; The Young Bucks' super kick on MJF into the pool during the Jericho Cruise won the LOL Award; Kenny Omega winning the AEW title and the collaboration with Don Callis won the Biggest WTF Moment; Rey Fenix won the Best High Flyer; Cody Rhodes accepting Brodie Lee's dog collar match won the Best Moment on the Mic; Darby Allin won the Male Breakout Star; Hikaru Shida won the Female Breakout Star; and Stadium Stampede match won the Bleacher Report PPV Moment of the Year. Curtis Granderson, Steve Lemme and Kevin Heffernan, Taylor Williamson, Chael Sonnen, Ron Funches, Camille Kostek, Bert Kreischer, Danielle Fishell Karp and Jensen Karp, and Shaquille O'Neal were the presenters of the awards.
As part of Knockouts Month on Impact Plus, a Knockouts roundtable with Gail Kim, Velvet Sky, Christy Hemme, O. D. B., Brooke Adams, and Taryn Terrell will premiere this week.
During her appearance on "Wrestling With Stereotypes", Gail Kim revealed that the idea for IMPACT to have Knockouts Tag Titles has been in the works for over a year. Here’s what she had to say: “We’re always looking for women, especially now that we have the tag team division happening now. I’m so excited for the girls. With women’s wrestling being so prevalent, there are so many women. We’re using everyone, but when you’re using everyone and there is only one title, it’s hard. We’re good at building storylines, but of course everyone wants to compete for the title. Bringing the tag team titles, the girls were so excited. We’ve been talking about it for over a year before it happened. Then we were like, ‘Yes! It’s finally happening!’ I’m happy for the girls more than anything. I remember when they told us we were getting the Knockouts Championship, I screamed out loud.”
The Bella Twins (Brie Bella & Nikki Bella), Dallas Page, Rikishi, Tegan Nox, Sam Roberts, Vic Joseph, Kayla Braxton and the cast of WWE’s "The Bump", R. J. City, "Queen of the Ring" Alex Pagan, superfan Mike Brown, and more will appear on "WWE Watch Along" during Sunday night’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Jinder Mahal, who had been out of action since late April 2020, returned to the ring on Friday afternoon to participate in the main event of the "Superstar Spectacle", a two-hour broadcast which aired in India on Tuesday. The former WWE Champion had just returned from 10 months on the sidelines due to a knee injury when he got injured again after just one match on RAW against Akira Tozawa. Mahal had to undergo surgery again on the same knee to fix the issue hopefully once and for all. Mahal, although Canadian, is of Indian descent and was used in the main event of the show teaming up with The Bollywood Boyz (Samir Singh & Sunil Singh) to take on Drew McIntyre and Indus Sher (Rinku & Saurav). This was also McIntyre’s first match since being diagnosed with the coronavirus three weeks ago.
WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded A. J. Styles vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship from Royal Rumble 2017. They also uploaded A. J. Styles vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn in a Handicap Match for the WWE Championship from Royal Rumble 2018.
The new Women’s Royal Rumble Roundtable special is now available on the WWE Network. The roundtable features Mickie James, Natalya, SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Charlotte Flair looking back at the first-ever Women’s Rumble Match at the 2018 Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Goldberg, Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan, and Sam Gradwell will be the guests for a special Sunday edition of "The Bump" prior to the Royal Rumble.
Goldberg also appeared on this week’s episode of Corey Graves’ After the Bell podcast, which you can listen to by clicking here. “After The Bell” podcast returned Friday after being on a hiatus since early December.
WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon was reportedly adamant that Goldberg use his Jackhammer move when he returned to WWE in 2020. Goldberg recently told FOX Sports that his Jackhammer against The Undertaker is one he’d take back. Fightful Select now reports that Goldberg actually was not gung-ho on the idea of doing the Jackhammer on “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt during their 2020 match because his shoulder was banged up. It was also said that Wyatt was on board with simply using a Spear, and everything seemed agreed upon with Wyatt and Goldberg. However, McMahon was said to be adamant on Goldberg using the Jackhammer to win the match, which is what happened. The finish was considered to be less than impressive by many, but much like the lack of ad-libbing in Goldberg’s return promo with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre on the recent RAW, this was another case of Goldberg just doing what WWE asked of him.
WWE uploaded the trailer for their "WWE Icons" episode on Yokozuna. The series premieres on the WWE Network onDemand at 10am Eastern time Sunday and will also air on the WWE Network live stream after the Royal Rumble. Bret Hart, Rikishi, and Sgt. Slaughter have been announced as guests for this week’s "WWE Icons" post-show. It’s called "WWE Icons Revisited" and is being hosted by Matt Camp and Ryan Pappolla. The post-show is also being uploaded to the WWE Network onDemand at 10am Eastern Sunday and will air on the live stream after "WWE Icons".

Mick Foley posted a video giving an update on how he’s feeling after testing positive for COVID-19 last onth which you can watch by clicking here.
On the latest episode of "Grilling JR", Jim Ross agreed with the Undertaker’s assessment of today’s wrestling industry. “They’re brought into the business differently. They’re not sitting in a car. They’re not making 25 to 40 bucks a night. It’s just a different ball game and Taker’s got a good point there. Today’s wrestling, getting chopped unmercifully to where your blood is rushing to the surface and bruising is already in affect, probably wouldn’t happen in today’s world because the offending person wouldn’t stand for it.”
Author John Cosper announced this week that books about Wahoo McDaniel and about Princess Victoria are among his upcoming projects.
On January 27th, Hulk Hogan paid tribute to Andre the Giant on the annoversary of his death. He posted on Twitter "28yrs ago Andre passed,my big brother,he taught me respect for our business and also taught me how to work using my instincts and my connection with the crowd. His timing was perfect and made me understand the greatest matches are the ones that u don’t talk about beforehandRIPHH"
Squared Circle Comics has announced that a Kickstarter campaign for their latest release: the authorized and hardcover Bobby Fulton & The Fantastics will launch here on February 7, 2021.

Luke and Butch are back together as a tag team. Just for this year promoters will be able to book The Bushwhackers as a tag team for any wrestling or non-wrestling related events by contacting them at bushwhackerbrand@pm.me.

Over the course of the past 18 years she worked for several feds in Texas. She would work for NWA Texoma, winning their Rose Title from Bree Ann on September 20, 2014. She lost the title back to Bree Ann on June 19, 2015. She never appeared on any of NWA Texoma's Oklahoma shows during her time working with them. She is survived by her husband, pro wrestler Kevin Cross, their 4 children, and numerous family members, friends, and fans.
