NEWS
Pro Wrestling Illustrated released their PWI Tag Team 50, ranking the top 50 tag teams according to the PWI staff. The list is similar to their PWI 500 and PWI Women's 100. Coming in at #1 was FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood). Others on the list include:

4. The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander)
27. John Morrison & The Miz
35. Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar)
39. The Von Erichs (Marshall Von Erich & Ross Von Erich)
40. The Rock-N-Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson)

Rumors continue about Ethan Page possibly leaving Impact Wrestling when his contract expires in the coming weeks. In recent interviews, he has used wording that suggests the possibility of him wrestling elsewhere in 2021, and he noted that he was exploring offers. It is possible that the recent dissension between he and Josh Alexander, his partner in The North, could lead to a storyline where he has to leave the company.

While appearing on BodySlam’s "The Push" podcast, Ethan Page spoke about the future of The North (himself & Josh Alexander): “We created this team before Impact. We invested in each other as performers, partners, road travelers before Impact. All this was before Impact. So if you think for one F’N second that we’re going to let Impact dictate whether we break up, or we don’t, or whatever, you’re out of your damn mind. I’m telling you guys. Everyone watched Final Resolution, and everyone saw my mental breakdown, whatever. It doesn’t matter. I’m telling you guys that no matter which way this goes The North are not splitting. Wherever I land in 2021, we are not breaking up. That’s my best friend in real life. That’s my best friend on screen. So, that’s not something that I’m willing to toy with to make a couple dollars in the entertainment industry. Like I said whatever happens in the years to come if I stay in Impact, The North is The North, we’re the best. There’s so much we still can do, and there is so much I will do, and if I go somewhere else he might end up there in a couple of years. This is a forever friendship and the friendship is tied to the tag team. It’s something that we will choose what happens with. It’s not just a name, it’s more than just the name. We were the Monster Mafia before. We’re The North now. We can be, whatever Ass Kisser #1 and Ass Kisser #2, it’s Josh Alexander and Ethan Page, that’s the magic, it’s not the logo or the brand of The North.”

Word is that Keith Lee’s defeat at the hands of John Morrison & The Miz last Monday on RAW was scripted to humble the character.

Metro asked Kevin Owens if he’d like to face Goldberg again: “‘I'd love to work with him again if he was here to work. I’m not saying this is his fault, but he’s not -- his career has never been about long matches or anything like that. To me, I don’t see much positive out of wrestling him for two minutes, or 20 seconds or 30 seconds or whatever, you know what I mean? I’d love to work with him again if you got to do a story beyond – all we did was, what, two weeks, maybe three weeks? ‘If we got to do some cool stuff, and some cool promos, exchange back and forth, and then have a quality match, that’d be great. But that’s just not usually what he’s here for.” Owens also said about Goldberg: ‘Look, it works. I’m not saying anything against that, it’s just not what I’m interested in. As a fan, I’ve never been interested in that stuff. Even when he was in WCW, I didn’t really like it. That’s just not what I look for in my wrestling.”

A first look at the WWE Network’s "WWE Icons" docuseries will air on the Network after TLC this Sunday. The series is debuting in 2021. There will be episodes focusing on Yokozuna, Lex Luger, Rob Van Dam, British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith, and Beth Phoenix.

WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded A. J. Styles, Randy Orton, & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, & Jinder Mahal from the December 19, 2017 episode of SmackDown, Randy Orton vs. A. J. Styles from the December 16, 2019 edition of RAW, John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre from WWE TLC 2009, and R-Truth & Carmella vs. Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox from WWE TLC 2019.

This week’s guests on "The Bump" include Kevin Owens, Ric Flair, R-Truth, and Carmella.

The Miz, Beth Phoenix & Natalya, Paul Heyman, and Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin are appearing on Sunday’s pre-TLC episode of WWE’s "The Bump". It will air on the WWE Network and WWE’s digital platforms at 4 p.m. Eastern time.

WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded Beth Phoenix & Natalya vs. LayCool in a tables match from TLC 2010.

Appearing on ESPN's "The Jump" with Rachel Nichols, Ric Flair said that WWE is building a physical Hall of Fame in Orlando, FL. Construction though has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and no exact location was given by The Nature Boy. There were rumors in the past that the WWE would be opening their Hall of Fame at Universal Studios City Walk but nothing ever came out of it. During his appearance on the show, Flair said that WWE purchased the gold robe which inspired the new sneakers in his collaboration with Adidas and Damian Lillard for the Hall of Fame display. Over the past several decades, WWE has collected tons of memorabilia that would fit any building size. Currently, they're all housed in their warehouse. WWE has a special relationship with the state of Florida, especially Orlando, where they have their WWE Performance Center and have for years performed at Full Sail University which is located just three miles north in Winter Park. A location inside or part of a theme park would be the most ideal as it would get the best foot traffic considering not many individuals would just fly out to see the Hall of Fame.

WWE Battlegrounds’ third roster update will take place on December 23rd and run through January 20th. Characters to be added are Sting, Ric Flair, Sheamus, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Bret Hart, Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, Fandango, Roddy Piper, and the tag teams of The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) and AOP (Akam & Rezar).

Jake Roberts was not on "AEW Dynamite" on Wednesday night, writing on Twitter: "Unfortunately, I won’t be able to appear tonight due to illness (not COVID). These days we all have to be on point. Looking forward to seeing everyone in two weeks.”

TNT is bringing “A Christmas Story” into the ring as AEW’s wrestlers reenact iconic scenes from the beloved film. Beginning December 24th, the scenes will air as interstitials during TNT and TBS’ 24-hour “A Christmas Story” marathon, as well as online at TNT.tv and TNT’s YouTube page. Fans voted online to help re-create the cast, including:

-Cody and Brandi Rhodes as Mr. and Mrs. Parker
-Chris Jericho as Santa Claus
-Eddie Kingston as Schwartz
-Scorpio Sky as Randy
-Ortiz as Flick
-Dr. Britt Baker as Miss Shields
-Ricky Starks as Farkus

Online and on social media, this exclusive activation will help help raise awareness for AEW’s nonprofit partner KultureCity, the nation’s leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility for those with autism, PTSD, anxiety and other sensory ailments. Starting Wednesday, December 23, fans can logon to AEWCares.com to donate to KultureCity.
