NEWS
Even though both were advertised, Daniel Bryan and A.J. Styles were not on the Smackdown house show last Saturday night.

The first two title matches for this year’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view were made official Monday night on Raw. AJ Styles quickly got to the top after he became the number one contender for the Universal title. He defeated Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe in his first qualifying match while Baron Corbin defeated The Miz and Drew McIntyre in his qualifying match. The two winners then faced each other for the MITB match, with Styles securing the victory. He now faces Seth Rollins next month. Meanwhile, Lacey Evans will be taking on Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s title on the same show. Evans has been targeting Lynch ever since the Raw after Mania. It’s unclear if Lynch will defend the Smackdown Women’s title on the show as well but she has a face-to-face segment with Charlotte Flair tonight on Smackdown which might lead to something. The Raw participants for the MITB ladder matches will be announced next week on the show during the Moment of Bliss segment. Four men and four women from each brand will make up the two ladder matches where the winners will take the briefcase and a shot at the title any time.

It looks like somebody important in Stamford came to the realization that the name The Viking Experience was pretty stupid for a tag team. The War Raiders, the current NXT Tag Team champions who were drafted to Monday Night Raw last week, received the not-so-impressive name for their Raw debut. The change was met with a lot of criticism online and led to tons of memes mocking the name. But now, just a week after getting christened with the new name, The Viking Experience is no longer, although a part of their name remains. From now on, the duo will be known as The Viking Raiders, a combo of their old and new name. They do keep their new individual names of Ivar and Erik though, a change from Hanson and Rowe. But you know how the saying goes right? You can't get everything in life!

Ethan Page called out AAW Tuesday afternoon for allegedly telling people they could not work certain promotions including Black Label Pro, Freelance Wrestling and Warrior Wrestling. Page wrote “Hey. You know it’s okay to wrestle for multiple companies in same city right? Unless you signed an agreement/contract that states otherwise. Don’t let someone else dictate where you work, unless they’re willing to pay for exclusivity. Own yourself. Don’t sell out for fake hype.” He has given AAW the option of cancelling him for their 5/31 event but will honor the date if they choose not to, saying that he “couldn’t care less working for them at this point”.

Taz has been announced for Starrcast II. In the Sports Illustrated article about The Undertaker and Kurt Angle being pulled from the event, Conrad Thompson said he's working on bringing a Japanese legend to Starrcast: “I’m continuing my search for rare meet-and-greets and unique experiences for Starrcast. We have announced a very rare appearance from Tatsumi Fujinami and we’re working on another Japanese legend. We’ve got at least a couple more surprise names fans may not see coming in the next several days, and I’m most proud of ‘The Roast of Ric Flair,’ which is going to be extremely big.”

WWE Network News reported that Mid-South Wrestlefest 1985 was added to the WWE Network’s Hidden Gems section Thursday morning.

Wednesday night’s Bruiser Brody episode of Dark Side of the Ring averaged 214,000 viewers on Viceland. The rating in the 18-49 demo was a 0.07. The episode was released online and made available in advance but did the best viewership the series has done thus far.

Conrad Thompson announced that Terry Funk won’t be able to attend Starrcast II next month: “I just hung with Terry Funk. Unfortunately Mr. Funk will not be able to attend @StarrcastEvents. ‘It's a little too soon for me,’ he said. Prayers for Mr. Funk and his family as they continue to grieve their incredible loss.” Funk’s wife Vicki passed away last month.

Gail Kim said it took a lot to convince her to do the match Sunday with Tessa Blanchard and said that while you never say never, this is her final match.

A new episode of Ride Along will air on the WWE Network after Monday’s Raw. It will feature Beth Phoenix & Natalya in one car and X-Pac, Road Dogg & Billy Gunn in the other.

Ahead of facing Blanchard at Rebellion, Gail Kim threw out the first pitch at last night’s Toronto Blue Jays game.

Boss Campbell underwent ear surgery Friday. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
