NEWS
Killer Tim Brooks has announced that he will make his last pro wrestling appearance on January 5, 2019 at the Advanced Pro Wrestling event in Granbury, TX. He will accompany his son Clayton Brooks to the ring for his match against Doberman. It was announced recently that Tim Brooks has been diagnosed with cancer.
Sarah Logan reflected on her and Rowe’s wedding by saying “Here's to us. To everyone that showed up at our wedding as Vikings. To our families who became one. To the Gods for making sure we had food and good weather. And to my husband for giving me the world. I love all of you.”
The WWE Network will be adding the December 25, 1987 AWA show from Minneapolis, MN with Nick Kiniski vs. Mitch Snow, Kevin Kelly vs. Alan West, Nord the Barbarian vs. Soldat Ustinov, Wahoo McDaniel vs. Adrian Adonis, Greg Gagne vs. Curt Hennig, and The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose, w/ Paul E. Dangerously) vs. The Midnight Rockers Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty).
On Thursday, WWE put up a December 31, 1985 Mid South Wrestling show. They were the only company that worked New Year's Eve back then. Among the matches are Terry Taylor vs. Rob Rechsteiner (Rick Steiner), Jake Roberts with one hand tied behind his back vs. Oliver Humperdink, Eddie Gilbert & The Nightmare vs. The Bruise Brothers (Mad Dog Boyd & Porkchop Cash), Dick Slater vs. Jim Duggan, and Butch Reed vs. Buzz Sawyer in a Dog Collar Match.
The WWE has a few mistakes on the Hidden Gems. The AWA December 25, 1982 show actually had two matches from December 25, 1981, which were Nick Bockwinkel vs. Billy Robinson and Hulk Hogan & Tito Santana vs. Ken Patera & Bobby Duncum. Also, in their presentation of both the 1981 and 1982 shows, matches with Buck Zumhofe, a convicted sex offender, was edited off the shows.
WWE has pulled all footage of matches involving Buck Zumhofe from the WWE Network. Zumhofe is currently serving a prison sentence after being found guilty six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and six counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct all involving a minor, allegedly his daughter. WWE owns the footage from AWA and WCCW and Zumhofe held titles in both feds. He is reportedly the first wrestler to be put in a body bag by The Undertaker and was also the first television opponent of Triple H when he debuted in WWE as Hunter Hearst Helmsley.
Jim Cornette was the guest on Wednesday’s episode of "Talk is Jericho". You can listen to it at PMNY.fm/Shows/Talk-Is-Jericho/Jim-Cornette-Returns.
Bruce Prichard was ranked #5 in Best Selling Merchandise in 2018 on the Pro Wrestling Tees website.
AVClub made a list out some famous TV episodes and movies where Santa Claus went evil. Bill Goldberg's 2005 film "Santa Slay" was mentioned in the story. You can read the story by clicking here.
