Roman Reigns announced on last week's "WWE Monday Night RAW" that he was vacating the WWE Universal Title and taking a leave of absence from the company due to an ongoing real-life battle with leukemia. Reigns is the son of Sika of The Wild Samoans.

The wrestling world rallied behind Roman Reigns after he announced on RAW that his cancer is back after 11 years in remission. Past and current WWE Superstars and fans flooded Twitter with positive energy for Reigns, the top trending topic worldwide for several hours. Comments from John Cena, Braun Strowman, Daniel Bryan, Kurt Angle, Vince McMahon, Charlotte, Kevin Owens, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Natalya, Matt Hardy, Paige, Sasha Banks, John Bradshaw Layfield, Becky Lynch, Finn Balor, Ronda Rousey, and hundreds of others all tweeted get well soon messages and to let him know what he means to them. Even the New Japan Pro Wrestling Twitter account had a classy message for Roman. "A champion transcends any company. @WWERomanReigns, on behalf of NJPW we all wish you a speedy recovery," they wrote. WWE has confirmed that Michael Cole, Renee Young, and Beth Phoenix will be on commentary for "Evolution". That is the same commentary team that has called this year's "Mae Young Classic".

To promote "Evolution", Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, and Mickie James participated in a “try not to laugh challenge” on The Fine Brothers’ YouTube channel which you can ee by clicking here.

Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, Mickie James, and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch participated in a round of “Try Not To Laugh Challenge” on FBE’s React YouTube Channel. The four women were shown a bunch of funny videos in a game where you cannot smile or laugh or else you lose. The videos then turn wrestling-related and the announcements of the women’s Royal Rumble and Evolution as the women commented on how important those moments were for them. “It’s setting the tone of what we’re doing. It’s cementing that here we are, here we are to stay,” Lynch said after watch again the Stephanie McMahon segment. “Everyone was so excited after. It was just such a great feel and energy in the locker room after that,” Bliss added.

Mickie James was a guest on "Busted Open Radio" and was asked about the injury/concussion that Alexa Bliss is dealing with. James said Bliss will definitely be at the "Evolution" pay-per-view where James & Bliss are scheduled to face Trish Stratus & Lita if Bliss can wrestle. She said she knows Bliss is doing better every day. James said: “Obviously, we all know this isn’t ballet and it comes with the territory. So, as long as it’s what’s best for business and what’s best for her long-term health, and everything else like that. I have no doubts that, regardless, we’re all gonna be out there and it’s gonna be amazing. And it’s a pretty historic moment, especially for women’s wrestling, and it’s gonna be great.”

It was announced on October 27th that Alicia Fox would replace Alexa Bliss as the partner of Mickie James at "Evolution".

Word is that Don Callis won't be able to continue as commentator on the New Japan Pro Wrestling shows going forward, due to his commitments to Impact Wrestling, and that other names will replace him. Jim Ross' name has come up, as has Lanny Poffo's.

Bruce Prichard is no longer working for Major League Wrestling. Konnan will be taking over his role as senior producer and agent.

There was a very controversial issue on a Heavy Metal Wrestling show in Texas last Friday. Rudy Gonzalez, who has trained a lot of wrestlers, was there cutting a promo and apparently he didn't have permission to do so, started cussing and used a gay slur more than one time and the talent on the show were shocked thinking that fans would be offended and not come back. That is something that cannot be done on shows today. The promotion issued an apology but didn't mention details as to what happened or Gonzalez's name but mentioned offensive language to the LGBT community. Ricky Starks wrote, "If your trainer uses derogatory language at a show and you back him up or don't check his ass, you're just as bad. This is directed at TWA in San Antonio, trainer and all. Don't talk about how to do things "right" and then go and pull stuff like that."

Samu announced that he is dealing with stage 4 liver cancer and is currently waiting for a transplant.

Fuel suffered a sprained shoulder and a concussion in his Ladder Match against Alex Royal at the UWE's "Showdown IX" event on October 20th. Oklafan wishes him speedy recovery.

Oklafan extends condolences to Robert Langdon on the passing of his sister Stacy. Langdon is the former promoter for Texoma Pride Wrestling and NWA Texoma, and is currently the co-promoter for Texoma Pro Wrestling in Texas.
