NEWS
WWE had a change of plans on two matches that were supposed to take place at "Evolution" and combined them into one tag team match. WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus & Lita were supposed to face Alexa Bliss & Mickie James respectively in the first two advertised matches for the show. That all changed last week on "Monday Night RAW" though. As Stratus was addressing both Bliss and James, she invited them both in the ring for a fight. James said that at "Evolution", they should just team up and Stratus agreed before introducing her tag team partner and fellow Hall of Famer Lita to a big pop from the crowd. Both teams went at it in the ring but eventually Bliss saved James from Lita's moonsault and retreated to the back. You can see the segment by clicking here.

Abyss was inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame at a ceremony at McHale's Bar and Grill in Midtown Manhattan.

Johnny Impact, who is currently a contestant on the new season of "Survivor: David vs Goliath", hosted a live Survivor viewing party on Wednesday, October 10th. The viewing party was held at McHale's Bar & Grill in New York City, the site of Impact Wrestling's "Bound For Glory" pay-per-view on Sunday, October 14th. Both Impact and his wife Taya Valkyrie have title shots at BFG, with Impact facing World Champion Autin Aries and Valkyrie facing Impact Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard. Impact Wrestling is promoting this as a first time ever scenario where a husband and wife will be wrestling for the company's top titles on the same night. Valkyrie was on hand for the Survivor viewing party and so were former and current contestants of the popular reality show. The 37th season of Survivor airs on Wednesday nights on CBS. Oklafan congratulates The Villains (Steven Cruze & Wesley Crane), who had surpassed 6 months as WFC Tag Team Champions on October 7th. They defeated The B. F. F.'s (Drake Gallows & Sam Stackhouse) for the titles in a Villains Rules Match on April 7, 2018 at "The Fight for Kye" in Claremore. However, their title title reign came to an end on October 13th also in Claremore when they were defeated for the titles by Bishop Nasty & Riker.

Oklafan congratulates Alex Royal, who had surpassed 6 months as WFC HomeTown Heroes Champion on October 7th. He defeated Riker for the title on April 7, 2018 at "The Fight for Kye" in Claremore. However his title reign came to an end on October 13th also in Claremore when he lost to the title to J. D.

Oklafan congratulates Team Holy Hell (Father Padge & Terry Pantera), who recently surpassed 18 months as BCW Tag Team Champions. Padge pinned Pantera's partner Tyck the American Outlaw and Pantera pinned Padge's partner Brock Landers in a match for the vacant titles on April 8, 2017 at an event in Guthrie.

Oklafan congratulates Blue Thunder & The Unknown, who recently surpassed 6 months as NAW Tag Team Champions. They defeated Big Smooth & Zakk Sinizter for the titles in a Triple Threat Match that also included Fuel & Dusty Gold on April 14, 2018 at an event in Chewey.

Brent McKenzie suffered a grade 3 MCL sprain, grade 3 chondromalacia (shifted knee cap), and 25% tear of his ACL, and tendonitis in his quadriceps. He is expected to be out of action for 8-12 weeks. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Jaxon Stone suffered a a broken cheek bone, which also caved in. It will require surgery and he is expected to be out of action for 4-6 weeks. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Fred Urban, who passed away October 7, 2018 at the age of 43. At the time of this writing, the cause of death is not known. Sadly, not much information is available about Urban’s in-ring career. He trained with Tom Jones and began competing in 2001 as Dredd and while he was billed from Oklahoma City, it is unknown if he actually ever competed in Oklahoma. He suffered a shoulder injury early in his career which forced him into early retirement, but he then began his time as a promoter, owning and running events for Old School Wrestling in Odessa, TX. He was also on the board of the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Wichita Falls, TX. Urban had gastric sleeve surgery in June and while slow, it seemed that recovery was going well. But several recent returns to the hospital resulted in emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder and things did not improve after that. After hospitalized, it was thought that he might have had a stroke as well.
