According the The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling are showing interest in Impact Wrestling star Killer Kross. He started with Lucha Underground in 2015 and recently debuted as The White Rabbit. He began working with Asistencia Asesoría y Administración in 2017 and made his Impact debut earlier this summer.
The "SmackDown 1000" show will have a reunion of one of the most popular WWE stables ever, Evolution. Yes, the group of Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and Batista will be getting back together for one more time for this historic episode which will take place in Batista’s hometown of Washington, D. C. A few weeks ago, Batista said that he was not invited for the show and that didn’t surprise him anymore but it seems WWE did offer an invitation. The group was formed in 2002 and broke up in 2005. They had somewhat of a reunion during the RAW 15th anniversary episode and again in 2014 during Batista’s last run in the company.
Matt Sydal will be doing a seminar on October 9th at 4pm at Team Vision Dojo in Orlando. The cost is $20 for students and $40 for non-students. They also have a show on 10/5 at the gym.
Joey Ryan appeared in the background as a cameraman on Thursday night's episode of "The Good Place" on NBC.
WrestleCon has announced a show called “Joey Ryan’s Penis Party” for WrestleMania weekend in New York City. Ryan’s show will be taking place on Friday, April 5th.
Jim Cornette will be returning to the broadcast booth as the NWA announced that the legendary manager will serve as the play-by-play man for its 70th anniversary show on October 21st. Cornette will be joined by Joe Galli, who does commentary for Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, at the booth while Tony Schiavone will make it a three-men booth for the main event. “The return @nwa title match with @RealNickAldis vs. @CodyRhodes was what enticed me back to broadcasting–it’ll be a real stemwinder! (We’re in Nashville so I must use a Lance Russell-ism!)” Cornette wrote on Twitter after the announcement was made. Cornette worked for Jim Crockett Promotions and the NWA for five years between 1985 and 1990 and managed the NWA Tag Team Champions The Midnight Express. In 1989, he became the color commentator for the NWA television show.
The October 2018 edition of Sports Market Report, a pricing magazine for the collecting industry, has a long feature on the 1979 Gulas/Rax Roast Beef Championship Card Set, considered to be the most rare pro wrestling card set in history, with only three known sets in existence. The story is by Kevin Glew and is really something. Apparently only 1,200 sets were given out in Nashville when the new Sports Arena opened. Looking back, the set has a couple of people who would become major names, like David Schultz, Bobby Eaton, and Robert Gibson, but also a ton of local stars, like Ken Lucas, George Gulas, and Jerry Barber, as well as some of the promotion's staff, such as promoter Nick Gulas, booker Tom Renesto, Sr., and announcer Mike St. John.
The book Brute Power: The Autobiography of Bugsy McGraw is scheduled to be released soon. McGraw, real name Mike Davis, teamed with author Ian Douglass on it.
Scott Casey has been working on his autobiography, and it's expected out in March 2019.
