NEWS
While she’s been announced for the pay-per-view, Beth Phoenix tweeted that she doesn’t know what her role will be at "WWE Evolution".

While many women would love the opportunity to be part of WWE's upcoming "Evolution" pay-per-view, there’s one individual who will definitely not be there: Gail Kim. Writing on Twitter, the TNA Hall of Famer wrote that if she ever made a return, it would be for Impact Wrestling and not WWE. “I’ve been there twice. I have never been happy there,” Kim continued to elaborate. “Life is about happiness. Impact Wrestling is my happiness. It’s not about money sometimes…people just don’t understand that.” Kim wrestled for WWE between 2002 and 2004 and won the WWE Women’s title in her first appearance before returning between 2008 and 2011. She had a far better career over at TNA where although she is retired, she still works there to this day as a producer.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that HBO’s Andre the Giant documentary “quickly became the most-watched documentary in HBO Sports history with nearly 7 million viewers across the network’s linear and digital platforms.”

The WWE Network has added Coliseum Home Videos on Davey Boy Smith, George Steele, Jim Duggan, Jake Roberts, The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart), Ken Patera, Randy Savage & Miss Elizabeth, Bruno Sammartino, and Captain Lou Albano, along with two on Hulk Hogan.

The Poffo family is featured on this week’s additions to the WWE Network’s hidden gems section. The matches that have been added are: Angelo Poffo vs. Pat Patterson (Championship Wrestling from Florida; 1977), Randy Savage & Magnum T. A. vs. The Mongolians (Georgia Championship Wrestling; 1983), and Lanny Poffo vs. Nick Bockwinkel (Pro Wrestling USA; 1984).

On Wednesday, 2K officially announced the Collector's Edition of WWE 2K19, called the "Wooooo! Edition", featuring the two-time WWE Hall of Famer and 16-time world champion Ric Flair. The WWE 2K19 Wooooo! Edition will be limited to 30,000 copies worldwide and will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at participating retailers for a price of $129.99. "For all of my fans around the world, it’s exciting and humbling to see my career immortalized through the power of video games. This is going to be one stylin,’ profilin,’ limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ ‘n’ dealin’ son of a Collector’s Edition, and you don’t want to miss out. Wooooo," said Flair. With the announcement, 2K also revealed the content of the WWE 2K19 Deluxe Edition which, as always, will be featured as part of the Collector's Edition as well. Content include access to WWE 2K19 Season Pass digital content; Exclusive playable WWE Hall of Famers and Legends characters featuring "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (’80s-inspired), Dusty Rhodes (’80s-inspired), Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (’80s-inspired), "Macho Man" Randy Savage (WrestleMania VIII), and Undertaker (2002); Exclusive in-game attires of Ric Flair (WrestleMania 24 robe) and Charlotte Flair (WrestleMania 32 robe); Exclusive in-game arena featuring the NWA Starrcade 1983 event; Access to WWE 2K19 Pre-Order Bonus playable characters of Rey Mysterio and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey; and WWE SuperCard limited edition cards featuring WWE 2K19 cover Superstar A. J. Styles, as well as a Styles-themed WWE 2K19 cardback. Players who purchase the WWE 2K19 Wooooo! Edition or the WWE 2K19 Deluxe Edition at participating retailers will receive Early Access to their game copies and in-game bonuses beginning four days early on Friday, October 5, 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One.

Mickie James teased facing Trish Stratus at WWE's "Evolution" pay-per-view on Twitter: “We’ve stood the test of time my friend... But after tonight’s announcement from @StephMcMahon and all the excitement for something we all worked so hard for I must ask... One more time?! #EVOLUTION #ThePeopleWantIt #IWantIt”.

The September 18th WWE event in Tulsa lists Carmella vs. Asuka for the SmackDown Women's Title and A. J. Styles, Daniel Bryan, & Jeff Hardy vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, The Miz, & Samoa Joe as the main events. The event is a "WWE SmackDown Live" live telecast so don't read anything into those matches actually taking place.

Oklafan congratulates Jessy [2nd] on the birth of her son Lennon on July 24th.

Oklafan congratulate Korttni Sadat and Kareem Sadat on the birth of their son Kiowa on July 25th.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Brickhouse Brown, who passed away July 28th after battling prostate cancer. He was 57. Brown, whose real name was Fredrick Seawright, began his career in Southwest Championship Wrestling, facing Bobby Jaggers in his first match. He had literally no training as a wrestler and essentially bluffed his way into the business by printing up promo photos and claiming to be a veteran. He would be taken under the wing of Terry Funk and later Eddie Graham to be properly trained and become a well-known figure in the southern half of the United States. Brown spent stints in Florida and the Carolinas before making his way to Mid-South. Bill Watts, who was searching for a replacement for the Junkyard Dog, put a lot of hopes into Brown, but Brown had a problem with tardiness as well as some personal demons and was fined so much that Watts once said "I love paying you because you give it all back." Brown would move on to Memphis, who was in a partnership with WCCW and Brown defeated Iceman King Parsons for the WCCW Texas Title on February 3, 1989. He would hold the title just over 1 month before losing the title by forfeit to Gary Young on March 6, 1989. Brown would continue to wrestle in the Memphis area, having probably the biggest run of his career there as a heel and winning the USWA World Tag Team Titles with 3 different partners and the USWA World Television Title. In 1995, he wrestled 2 matches for the WWF, including one against Hunter Hearst Helmsley. But his addictions were beginning to affect his performance and by 1997, Brown was out of the USWA and spent the remainder of his career on the independent circuit. He wrestled his last documented match in 2012. Brown has 11 documented matches in Oklahoma. The earliest was October 7, 1984 in Tulsa, where he and Butch Reed wrestled to a draw. The last was June 13, 1989 in Cushing, where he and King Parsons teamed against Kerry Von Erich & Chris Adams.
