NEWS
Vader tweeted that he recently got potentially good news regarding his health.

Despite the match being advertised for a second straight week, AJ Styles didn’t face James Ellsworth on last Tuesday night’s SmackDown. Instead, there was a fatal four-way main event to determine a new number one contender for Styles’ title. Dolph Ziggler defeated Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper, and The Miz to earn the title shot. Styles vs. Ellsworth will still happen at some point.
WWE Champion AJ Styles has been pulled from all WWE events until December 26th at Madison Square Garden, where he’s set to defend against John Cena and Dean Ambrose. Styles did not defend the WWE Championship against James Ellsworth on last night’s SmackDown due to the ankle injury he suffered on 12/4 at TLC while taking a backdrop from Ambrose. The champion has not wrestled since that match. WWE announced last night that Styles would defend against new #1 contender Dolph Ziggler on the 12/27 SmackDown from Chicago. There’s been no word yet on when Ellsworth will get his shot but it doesn’t look like it will happen in 2016.

Manny Fernandez was a recent guest on "The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling" podcast. When asked about wrestling the great World Champions of the past, he said "I was very fortunate in my career. I got to wrestle all the real good World Champions. I wrestled Flair, he sucked. Bottom line is he sucked. Every champion that I wrestled whether it be Terry, Dory (Funk), Jack (Brisco) and Harley (Race) they let me beat on them. They let me do anything. Harley was fantastic. The matches that we had, we had hour broadways, we had ninety minute broadways that I could have sworn we only went nine minutes. The first time we did it I knocked myself completely out for two days. Harley was such a good worker and the day that he asked me what my finish was and I said "flying-burrito" he said I'll duck and I swear I got so high in the air I cleared the ring and landed head first on the concrete and knocked myself out for two days. "Harley was unreal, Dory was unreal and Terry was night and day. When I wrestled Terry Funk it was like wrestling the Tazmanian Devil. Terry was off the wall and we did some crazy things...fighting over the roof of cars, backdropping in a U-Haul trailer. That is why I laugh at people, these people that think they are hardcore. They ain't got a clue man. If we hit them as hard as we hit back in the day there would be a person crying that you hit me too hard." In the 90 minute podcast Fernandez talks about a wide variety of subjects including his relationship with Bruiser Brody and his own in-ring incident with Brody's killer Invader #3. John Pollock from Live Audio Wrestling is reporting that TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett met with officials from Anthem Sports & Entertainment last week although no specifics from this meeting were revealed. Anthem now is the company which is pumping money to keep TNA alive and pretty much is considered the majority owner of TNA for all intents and purposes. Pollock says that as of today, there’s no agreement for Jarrett to return to TNA although him returning is not out of the question at this point. Jarrett mainly met with the man who’s running day-to-day operations at TNA, Anthem Executive Vice President Ed Nordholm. Jeff Jarrett had quite a history with TNA, first co-founding the company with his father in 2001, then resigning in 2012. In 2015, while still a minority owner, he returned for a few weeks to promote his Global Force Wrestling company. Jarrett’s return came with a price though as he sold his minority share to Dixie Carter.

WWE debuts a new Table for 3 on Wednesday night with Jim Duggan, Sgt Slaughter and Nikolai Volkoff.

Mick Foley, who was supposed to be off WWE television till the January 2 Raw, showed up at the Roadblock pay-per-view Sunday and was on Raw Monday night as well. ProWrestlingSheet.com, who broke the original story that Foley will be given time off to do his Christmas work, reached out to WWE to get clarification on his appearance. In a statement, WWE said that Foley was in Pittsburgh for a previously scheduled charitable event and decided to work the show and would work Raw as well but will “then take time off until January 2.”
