JR's Blog: Lesnar VS Goldberg Rumors..Will WWE buy TNA Library?, RAW Thoughts, New, Ross Report Drops Tonight, JR UK Bound

Posted: Oct 5th 2016 By: Jim Ross

Greetings one and all and thanks for stopping by our site. It's a huge week for yours truly that will be culminated by attending my favorite sporting event of the year, the Oklahoma versus Texas football game in the historic Cotton Bowl in Dallas Saturday. But before then there is our much anticipated trip to the U.K. for our Wednesday night Q&A in London with JIm Cornette and then heading to Newcastle to broadcast What Culture Wrestling's Refuse to Lose PPV on @FITETV on Thursday .

Tonight a new, Ross Report podcast drops with Road Warrior Animal who joins me for the first time on The Ross Report. The show drops at 9 pm ET at www.podcastone.com, iTunes and here on the homepage of our site. Animal and I cover a ton of topics and this is an eye opening show.

Also tonight on the show I talk about two, hot rumors in more detail regarding the speculation that WWE is thinking seriously of a Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar match that may happen much sooner than later.

The other rumor has WWE seriously looking at buying the TNA library which also makes sense on multiple fronts. Reportedly, not everyone is TNA is endorsing this sale so it could be off the table at any time.

For more on both these news worthy topics be sure to download our show tonight and you can do that automatically by subscribing for FREE to The Ross Report on iTunes.

I applaud WWE for thinking Lesnar-Goldberg, if that is indeed what they are planning. I'd love to see these two go at it one, last time.

Black hat is off the Charlotte and Sasha Banks for closing RAW Monday night in a role that few women before them have ever had the opportunity to accomplish. The women delivered in a significant way as they, along with their peers, continue to elevate the perception of women's wrestling within the business. WWE has done a better job than any major promotion of developing the women's brand which is what I assume they will attempt to do with the Cruiserweights.

The execution of this RAW Main Event was stellar especially WWE capturing the post match emotions of both women who delivered the goods in a memorable manner.

It should be every wrestling brand's goal to enhance every aspect of their roster and that's what we are seeing with the continued focus of the WWE women.

RAW Thoughts:

Seems to me that the biggest step forward in the development of the Seth Rollins 'face role is going to be through his spoken words. Seth's athletic work is already 'fan friendly.'

I have no issues with the renewed, "enhancement match" concept that WWE is utilizing from time to time. It makes perfect sense to me.

Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho are a good combo that entertains me and will do even more so when they finally come to blows.

Somewhat perplexed by the presentation of Gallows and Anderson who were seemingly had more 'star perception' in New Japan. These two need ample antagonist angst added to their team.

Optimistic of the upside of the duo of Sheamus and Cesaro who are two of my personal favorites in WWE. These two can be impactful in the tag team scene if they are allowed to be their rugged selves.

Again, the show closer with Charlotte vs Sasha was a hit and the crowd stayed engaged at the end of a three plus hour voyage of sitting their seats which is no easy fet for any one no matter their gender.

Tickets for our two, November RINGSIDE with Jim Ross shows are available including both shows having some VIP Meet/Greet/PhotoOp tickets still available. Wednesday November 9 in Nashville at Zanies and tickets available at zanies.com and then on Survivor Series Sunday November 20 in Toronto at The Second City at 2:30 and will be over by 4 pm. Tickers for the Toronto show are available at Ticketmaster and LiveNation.com. The Second City is only a short walk to the Air Canada Centre where WWE has sold out the Survivor Series. I';d love to see you at one of our shows and I guarantee you a fun time.

The FITE App is distributing the What Culture Wrestling PPV live this Thursday at 2:30 pm ET and will be replaying it for several days thereafter.

On this week's Ross Report I will provide you my review of both the ROH and TNA PPV events of the past few days. Here's a tip...I liked them both for various reasons.

Watching the Arnold Palmer Memorial Service today on ESPN and it is truly moving. What a wonderful, loved man who was bigger than life and did more for golf than anyone we can name.

I updated the Q&A's here on the site and invite you to check them out while you are here.

Getting a kick out of the Ric Flair-Halle Berry narrative this week online where Ric apparently stated that he had a personal encounter with Ms Berry in Atlanta back in the day when we were in WCW together. Could that have happened in my Buckhead high rise apartment? I'll explain more on this week's Ross Report. This is an entertaining tale at least until Ms Berry's "people" intervene.

Have a rewarding, blessed day.
