A. J. Styles looked to have suffered an injury during a match with Alberto Del Rio at last Tuesday?s SmackDown tapings in San Diego, CA. Del Rio reportedly botched a move and Styles landed on his head, then they finished the match with a roll-up. Styles left up the ramp and was holding his neck to the side.

Things are looking very good for A. J. Styles? future with WWE as he has major support from top WWE officials and others in the office. A. J. has had major success with merchandise already and he?s seen as the most marketable ?new talent? they have. There?s also been a lot of praise for A. J.?s in-ring work and Vince McMahon himself has been impressed. A. J. winning the #1 contendership and facing WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at "Payback" was a recent decision but could be used to turn Reigns heel.

After he was attacked by Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson on RAW last night, WWE World Champion Roman Reigns posted the following to A. J. Styles on Twitter "I don't need a "club." Consider this your only warning, AJ. Stay away from my family and watch yourself around me. #TheGuy #RomanEmpire".

SB Nation reports that 6? 7" 390-pound Baylor lineman LaQuan McGowan is interested in a possible career with WWE once his playing days are over. McGowan is currently planning for the NFL Draft but says it?s a lifelong dream to wrestle for WWE. He commented ?I?ve watched it on TV. I?ve thought about, ?What would be something good or something that I would enjoy doing for a decent, for a long period of time?'? For big guys in the NFL, they really don?t last that long.? McGowan also said he?s talked with people in the wrestling business that expressed interest in giving him some guidance. Jim Ross revealed that he?s been in contact with McGowan and posted on Twitter "Happy to say that LaQuan & I have been in communication the past few months. He'd fit great in @WWE after @NFL".

Gail Kim was given the CAC 2015 Women's Wrestling Award at last week's Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion in Las Vegas, NV. The award was presented to her by Ron Hutchinson. He posted on Twitter "It was an honour and a thrill to present the phenomenally talented Gail Kim with her CAC 2015 Women?s Wrestling Award at this year?s 50th Reunion. Blessed to have been able to play a small part in the lives of so many passionate people who have really left their mark on the professional wrestling business. #LikeAProudPapa."

A new book entitled Rowdy: The Roddy Piper Story written by Ariel Teal Toombs and Colt Baird Toombs, Roddy Piper's children, will be released in October. Piper's wife posted the cover art for the book on Twitter which you can see by clicking here.

Scott Steiner opened a Shoney's restaurant in Acworth, GA on April 12th. The grand opening was attended by Rick Steiner, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Jeff Jarrett, and Buff Bagwell.

Scott Steiner recently made headlines after he was interviewed by the local news after he witnessed an attempted murder outside of an Atlanta-area restaurant. According to WTVM-ABC 9, Steiner witnessed the incident outside of a Hardee?s in Acworth, GA, near the Shoney?s that Steiner owns. The reporter, who apparently didn?t recognize Steiner from his professional wrestling career and referred to him as "a man who owns a restaurant", goes on to state one driver was shooting at another vehicle, who then crashed into the building near Steiner?s restaurant while he attempted to get away. Steiner spoke with CBS 46 the following morning and said the whole thing was ?freaky?, and that [Acworth] is a ?pretty mellow place?, so it wasn?t likely to be a repeat incident. According to reports, the victim is expected to survive after being shot multiple times.

Bill Goldberg was pre-race host for Sunday's Food City 500 race in Bristol, TN. This was his second straight year with that role in the race.

After hearing that pro wrestler Balls Mahoney had passed away, Mick Foley posted on Twitter "Just heard of the passing of ECW original Balls Mahoney. Thinking and praying for his little boy he loved so dearly."

Jack Brisco and Gerald Brisco will be inducted into the Chickasaw Nation Hall Of Fame in on June 21st at the Embassy Suites in Norman.
